Greykit was asleep until she heard Thornkit mumbling about Branchkit. She yawned and looked at Waterheart.

Honorpaw gave a concerned look to Shadowpaw. "Is she okay?:, she asked. The apprentice joped her sister was going to be okay.

Waterheart looked down at Greykit and wrapped her body around the kit and gave her numerous licks. She gave Thornkit a few licks as well to calm him down.

Greykit mumbled something in Waterheart's ear. "Shouldn't they be back by now?..Hallowpaw and Honorpaw I mean.."

Honorpaw looked at Shadowpaw in horror. "Where is she?", she asked almost in a demand. The molly had only met her sister once, but was very protective of her.

Waterheart looked down at Greykit, placing her tail on her nose. "Honorpaw and hallowpaw are old enough to be out, so I'm not to sure my darling.", she whispered.

Graysun sat inside the temporary Thunderclan camp clearing, feeling a little bored and lost. The warrior looked around the clearing to see if he could find anyone he knew. Graysun wanted to leave the camp for a while, so he was looking for an excuse to go out.

Linnetpaw found himself almost walking past his brother, he skidded into a hault and looked at him. "Hey Graysun!" He mewed at his brother with a smiled, looking up at him, being smaller than his brother it didn't faze him, but sometimes he would like to be taller for once, "What ya doin'?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

Graysun closed his eyes for a moment until he heard his brothers/apprentices voice. He looked down at Linnetpaw with a friendly smile. "Trying to find a reason to get out of camp. You wanna do some hunting?", he replied. It would be a good experience for him to try and hunt for the clan.

Honorpaw scented bunnypaw nearby and looked up to see the molly. The apprentice ran towards her sister with a wail. "are you alright?", she asked, giving her sisters bad eye a lick.

Waterheart looked at Greykit. "trust me there won't be any badgers or foxes. Not with the fire.", she meowed, trying to sound convincing.

"Yeah!" It's like he didn't here any other words that his brother might have said, he was jusf excited to be finally training with his brother. Really, I would just like to spend time with him, but training would also help!

"I told her not to try to climb on the way here but she poked it with twigs and stuff.." Shadowpaw rolled his eyes at Bunnypaw.

Greykit nodded. "Okay..if you say so Waterheart.." she got a ball of moss and rolled it towards Waterheart.

as they started into thunderclan territory, littlepaw seemed to stick out as her while and orange pelt contrasted against the charred surroundings. as soon as they reached where the fire has started, all the cats around her grew somber. she contained her kit-like personality, trying to disturb the older warriors.
whatever had happened here, it was devastating. everything was black and crumbling, from leaves to sticks and even whole trees. though she didn’t have much experience with the world outside the riverclan camp, the territory here looked much different than the one from which she had come. ‘is this what fire does?’ the apprentice wondered. she tried to imagine the territory before the fire had happened. were there bushes like the ones back home? how tall did the tree grow? was the grass thick and full of prey or thin and lacking? how much prey had been scared off by the fire? there were so many questions that she wanted to ask. to put it simply- she was stunned. stupefied. dumbfounded.
her nose twitched as she sniffed at what she thought used to be a plant of some sort, but had been reduced to a pile of ash. her fur bristled as the pungent smell hit her nose. everything seemed so dead. she was about to speak when fawnpaw did instead.
littlepaw nodded and as the patrol contained in the direction the other apprentice had said. as the wind picked up and ash that was laying on the ground flew into her face, she couldn’t help but retort, “is it always so black here!?”
