It was pregnancy hormones. Since it was her first time - actually carrying out a full pregnancy, she experienced a lot of discomfort. More sensitivity than before. She would had cried right then and there if her own adopted kits weren't there. She didn't want them to think something was wrong with her, or that Weaselshade made her cry. That he made her feel a type of way about herself. She didn't want her kits to become to defensive. They would have little siblings to play with after all once this pregnancy was over. And, she would be back to normal. Minus the many disoriented feelings this tom was giving her. She flicked her ears back at his words, ready to bare her teeth if he said anything out of line. But, she didn't say anything to the tom. She wrapped her tail around herself, thinking. Oddly, she thought he hated her already. He never outright told her he did, but the little actions he did towards her made it appeared that way. He gave off that type of vibe likeee rather be in someone else's company than herself. Thea knew she could be unbearable, but she didn't hate him. To an extreme. A slight dislike. Greatly dislike. Others didn't really like her in the clan, but a few of the queens appreciated her. Accepted her as one of their own since she was finally having kits herself. Albeit, she wished she chose a different father at this point. Sliding her venemous blue eyes towards the tom, she realized he never apologized to her. And, he still seen it as her fault. That she was being inconsiderate and unreasonable. Thea shook her head, dropping her gaze to the ground for a moment. It didn't matter anymore. She refused to care. "Well, what happens if the clan knew the father of my kits finally came into the nursery to check on me...even though I've been pregnant for a moon now?" He was playing that game. So, she was playing that game. The blame game. She knew the clan really didn't care who her connections were. She wasn't in the crowd. Nor was she ever around it. Some of the queens didn't even know he fathering her litter. She didn't bother to tell them. Her rights had been that a queen never had to discuss the father of they didn't want to. For all they knew, she could tell them that the father was dead. That sounded tempting at the moment since she was still bubbled with anger. Upon his next words, she simply blew a huff at him. What was he exactly getting at? Couldn't he tell so far that she just...couldn't care. He had did worse than what clan mate could ever do to her. And, she didn't know why she cared about that so much. Then, she found out he wasn't from Windclan. That had to make sense with his fluffy fur, and the fact most Windclan cats had sleek pelts. Sliding her eyes to flutter at him, "What, are we supposed to connect on a personal level because you don't know where you came from?" She tilted her head, giving him a curious gaze. Teasing was found in her voice, which she tried to hide well under anger.

That was going to far. He had tried. The tom felt his anger bubbling inside him, trying to get out through his tightly closed mouth in the form of words. Thea was so kind and sympathetic to kits, it almost made her seem like the sweetest she-cat in the world. His mistake. He shouldn't have believed that she was a kind cat. Especially not with the way she had acted towards him when they first met. She didn't care about him, or any warrior for that matter. Only kits. Apprentices, if they were her kits. And only warriors if they were her kits. Her annoying little angelic act was so annoying. Weaselshade was being driven insane. He just wanted a life where he didn't have to worry about jerks who acted like angels. Cats like Thea. "You are one of the sweetest cats I've ever met." he purred, getting up and circling her. What he was doing disgusted him. He was flirting with her and it was driving him to the brink. Sitting down just where he had been, he looked her in the eye. Suddenly the soft look in his eyes disappeared. Weaselshade's eyes narrowed, and a soft growl rumbled in his throat where the purr had been. "To kits. You don't care about anyone but kits! You're selfish enough to come and ask me for kits!" All his emotions came out in one swift motion. His eyes were blazing, and even though he was taller than Thea, he felt way taller. "Maybe I should call you kittypet scum seeing as you don't care for other cats!" The tom seriously considered leaving that instant, but he wanted to see how the molly reacted.

The first red flag was that he circled around her. Said sweet words to her - was he flirting with her? Thea watched him with cautious gaze, flicking her wide blue eyes - which appeared innocent in that moment when he took a seat again. He should had been yelling at her. Mad at her words. Fueled with aggression towards her. It made Thes cower for a moment, her pelt shivering slightly when he stared at her in such a way. Then, his next words came, who made her a bit baffled. How did that make her selfish? Because she cared about kits? Though the words he dragged along. That part made her selfish. She asked him to give her kits. Begged him. Even flirted with him. And, got hurt in the process. "You didn't have to do it." Her voice was small. She stared down at her tiny paws, refusing to even glance up at the tom before her. He appeared much bigger. Like a tornado, ready to devour her. She was scared. "I asked you. And, you said you would do it. I didn't force you. I...I asked you." Thea liked to believe she was nice. She gave everyone a chance, but kits were precious things. They needed others to look out for them. Thea could never serve her clan as a full warrior as she was too vulnerable to do such things. Kits were, at least, the one thing she could handle and dote over. It hit her like a sand storm. She could hear the violence in his voice. He was livid. Mad at her. She pushed him to the extreme. A part of her felt victorious for doing such, and another part felt she needed to apologize. However, the latter wasn't on her list. She wouldn't apologize. She had nothing to apologize for. She flinched at his words. So commonly known they came out. They might as well had been her name instead of 'Thea'. Thea was stressed. Not something a queen should be. So, she laid in her best, tucking her paws in, and wrapping her tail close to her belly, so she could feel her kits. "Do whatever pleases you, Weaselshade." In a way, he had won the argument. She refused to push him any further because he could be a danger to her and their unborn kits. She solely believed this. Kits were supposed to bring them together, but at the moment, she figured she didn't want anything to do with him.

The tom glared at her. She may have asked him, but she had begged him to. Even flirted with him. It drove him to the brink, she had gone too far. She needed to stop acting so innocent. She wasn't. He could accuse her of many things. The way she acted like an angel, only to lash out and hurt every cats feelings. It was worse than his flirting. Way worse. But what honestly was the worst, was the surprising thing. Weaselshade was hurt. not angry. He felt his gaze dropping to his paws but he kept it firmly planted on the molly in front of him. "You begged me to do it. You were desperate." The tom's words were fierce. He was serious and he knew what he was doing. He was hurt. Really hurt. It was surprisingly the worst hurt he had ever had in his life. And it was from Thea. Weaselshade forced his gaze to stay on Thea. To not show any emotion except anger. When she lay down, he finally dropped his gave to his paws. He had known what he was doing for a while. It had been fueled by the emotions anger and hurt. Because she had struck a nerve. The way she talked about his past like it was some kind of joke. Like the fact that they both weren't from WindClan didn't matter. His past was a treasured part of his life. If he hadn't been left by the stupid border he wouldn't have ended up with Thea and her stupid craze for kits. He would be living the good life and have a mate. He wouldn't have a terrible she-cat like Thea to be raising his kits. She had acted like the fact he was trying to get her to be nicer, and that he had trusted her enough to tell her that secret, was nothing. Thea was a terrible cat. Weaselshade looked at her again, his emotions forming into words. "I thought you might appreciate a cat trying to like you. But apparently I was wrong." His words were strong surprisingly, even if the hurt was clear. "I don't think that we should like each other because we both wren't born in WindClan. But I thought that maybe you'd understand."

Well, those words hit her pretty hard. She begged him to do it. She was desperate. It hit her like a ton of bricks - because she was desperate...at the time. His words were fierce, and Thea nodded slightly. She refused to look at him, and found every other part of the nursery interesting to stare at. "I begged you, I asked you - what's the difference? No matter how many times I begged you, you didn't have to do it." But, what if he did do it because he felt pity for her. That dampened her mood even further. She didn't want him to feel pity for her. She didn't want anyone to pity her. She was selfish, however. She wanted kits and she begged him to give her kits. That had to be uncalled for. "You're right - sorry. I shouldn't have come to you about kits. I don't want these kits to put a hinder on your relationship with your...mate, or whatever." If he chose to get one. It would had been awkward. Thea didn't realize this at first, but since she was pretty sure she wouldn't find a mate being in Windclan, she wanted kits. She didn't need the tom. She just wanted little fluffballs to nurse herself. Yet, Weaselshade didn't know she had lost a litter before. Why her desperation for kits had been hyped. He didn't know much about her past other than she was a kittypet. Yet, she never felt like a kittypet. Those two legs didn't love her. Thinking back, Thea didn't think she ever known someone to love her. She didn't bother to say anything at his words. Thea knew she wasn't trying to force Weaselshade to like her. She didn't even know why he was even still around her. Shouldn't he had been left? But, she set her head on her paws, blinking her eyes every once in a second. "I'm not going to force you - anybody to like me. You either do or you don't. " trying was never good enough, so what was the purpose of it all? She pulled her head up, her gaze hardened towards the tom. He thought they could relate? Just because they weren't in Windclan? "No." She firmly said. "I don't understand. Because you weren't born in Windclan doesn't mean you ever had to prove yourself just to fit in. You were raised here. You might as well be considered on. I wasn't. I was a kittypet. I was a loner. I've been through more hardships than you could ever imagine! If you want to relate to me...you can't." No, he wouldn't be able to. No, she didn't think they would be able to relate. If they couldn't get along now, just imagine when the kits were born! She laid her head down again, and turned away from the tom. She was clearly displeased and unhappy. "You have warrior duties and friends to hang out with. I'll be fine." Not that he would care anyway. She muttered. She was pretty sure that would be the last time he checked up on her. The first time and the last.

She was right. They were nothing alike. He was a fool. He shouldn't have believed that maybe she could turn a new leaf and act better. That she could have actually cared about someone other than her and kits. That was all she ever did think about or talk about; kits. There were other people in the world! Not just kits. Even if they were the reason the clan was still there. Weaselshade didn't even care when she apologized. Thea was to stubborn to ever care about what he thought. To care about what anyone, other than kits or herself, thought. It had struck Weaselshade hard and she wasn't ready to forgive her. Or leave. No matter what she though. If she though he should leave, he didn't care. "Thea, you know other cats have feelings right? You know I have feelings?" The tom wasn't angry, his voice was calm and filled with hurt. Anger, he had been angry, but that had washed away. The emotion under the name of hurt, had come along and washed away all the anger. He had no idea where he was going, but his words had come out and he could not take them back. He had to build something off it. It was like rebuilding your camp when the whole thing was blown flat to the ground. It was so hard. But he needed he couldn't just stay with a half said thing. Perhaps an action would to better to wrap things up. The tom moved towards the exit of the den. He suddenly turned around and sat down right next to Thea. His next move was unpredictable. He lay down next to her. But his words after that were even stranger. "Please don't yell at me."

Thea didn't bother to bring her head back up. She was visibly tired, but her ears flicked back upon the tom's words. It was obvious she knew this. She considered everyone's feelings - a long time ago. Her feelings had been casted aside because she was too nice. She was too gullible and kind. But, did he knew she also had feelings? Well...she could tell she struck a nerve. His tone had been hurt. It was hard to tell, but she could feel that emotion emitting from him. It wrapped around her like a snake and choked her. It made her gag internally, and this made her lift her head. She didn't say anything, only allowing her wide blue eyes to speak her unspoken words. So, she looked away as quick as she had looked at him. She waited for him to leave. To cease the tension that they caused in the nursery. She figured he was about to walk away again. He was gonna leave. But, she been shocked that he turned back around. And, even more shocked that he sat next to her, and laid down next to her. The words he uttered made her almost choke. They had just been arguing a moment ago...and, now he was saying this? However, Thea didn't show any signs of being bothered. She didn't know what to say. She wanted to remain as calm as possible. Her mood had been happy before he came in, and now she was disheveled. She was confused. Her eyes blinked but she still had no words to say. So, instead she laid her forehead on the tom's shoulder. And, she stayed there, breathing gently and trying to hear the rhythmic of his own breathing. They didn't have to like each other, but they at least had to try. Try to get to know each other. Try to work things out. Try to be excellent parents to their kits. Everything was about trying now, and Thea didn't like trying. She didn't know how long he would be in the nursery, but she was secretly appreciative that he hadn't forgotten about her.

Nothing. She said nothing. Not a word came from the molly. It surprised him. Why wasn't she fighting back? Why wasn't she saying something to hurt him even more? It wasn't like her. Nothing like her. The normal Thea would have yelled at him in an a split second of his action. This, compared to her having a good mood could have made Weaselshade faint. He wasn't being yelled at or pushed away. She wasn't getting up and telling Lynxkit and Mothkit to move so that she could lie down away from him. No, she said not a word. She made no attempt to get away from him. Thea stayed there. It made the tom's emotions suddenly change to that of surprise. Thea always had something to say whenever they shot insults at each other. Perhaps the difference was that this time he hadn't shot an insult. He had asked her to not yell at him for lying down next to her. She hadn't. Was that a good sign? It had to be. It seemed like one. It was the first time she hadn't said anything in response. Then something even more surprising happened. Thea moved. The tom tensed, waiting to see her get up and walk away. She didn't. She rested her forhead on his shoulder. Relief washed over the tom as he gaze down at the smaller molly. He felt his tail rise and place itself over her back. Perhaps this time she wouldn't mind.

Perhaps he could find Infernosky, at least he knew nothing would have changed with the stern and no-nonsense former deputy. Sometimes he wanted to act as though she still were. Sometimes he felt like taking orders from her. That was his one female friend who appeared to be completely neutral - well, her and Fawnflower. Were those the only two? No, no there was Jitterpaw as well. Good. That made three, at least three cats who were still on his side. Though Sagewhisker was still his best friend, except not as neutral. His dark eyes flashed as he settled in a corner of the clearing. What, what on earth, had suddenly made him so interesting? He would have given anything for the attention in his apprentice days, but, Obsidiansky was a different cat now. A different and better cat. No longer was he seeking out attention, and neither was he acting all strangely when it came to she cats. Thank goodness - because he wouldn't have a lot of friends otherwise. Though, it was nice to have toms for friends as well. Like Blazingstar, and Russelfur. He wasn't sure what he would do without them. And even though neither of them were very close to him, Obsidiansky was hoping that he would have better luck sometime in the future.

@Sage
Sagewhisker padded along the worn path beneath her paws. She sighed and then looked up at the sky above. The molly smiled as she listened to the sound of birds singing in the trees up above her. Sagewhisker loved birds. The way they moved, they were....angelic. She loved nature and the way it flooded overwhelmed her. Sagewhisker took in a deep breath and then let it out, taking in everything around her. Her eyes flashed all around the attractive scenery. Skipping over to an alluring bush of lilies, she inhaled deeply. Taking in the sweet scent of the flower she thought of one word...helpless. That was how she always felt around Obsidiansky. There was so much drama between the two best friends. She loved Obsidiansky. More than words could ever describe. Although...he could never feel for her as much as she felt for him. Sagewhisker would never doubt the dark furred tom but...he just could not feel that way for her. Sagewhisker had known Obsidiansky for most of her life and...he seemed to be the only cat that was always by her side. She trusted him with her life, as he trusted her with his but....he just could not feel the same for her as she felt for him. At least not in Sagewhisker mind. The ginger patched molly clenched her teeth and squeezed her eyes closed, her head clouded with dark thoughts. Sagewhisker had always tried to be a positive cat, but in this situations she just.....could not.Sagewhisker stood back up, not realizing she had collapsed to the ground beneath her. She sighed heavily, then let the breath bleed out from her...slowly. Sagewhisker stretched her paws out in front of her and shook her head violently. Her paws began moving.....and she let them. She did not care anymore, not where she went, not what would happen to her, just......she did not care. After traveling for what she felt like hours, she stopped when a very familiar scent reached her nose. Obsidiansky. No. Not right now. I-I can not. Not right now. Everything around the molly was spinning. Sagewhisker ducked into a bush on instinct. What am I doing?

[get my hamilton references? hmmmmm? lmao]

She didn't. The queen felt the tom's tail over her back, and she did nothing to move it. Her own tail had been swayed to the side to soothe her belly. It was finally quiet on the nursery. Minus the playful kits and the fretting mothers. Their little argument could probably be heard by all. Thea didn't like to argue with Weaselshade, but she couldn't stand him at times. He pushed her buttons, and made her heart beat faster than anything. Though not out of love or a simple crush. More out of anger pulsating through her when he did things just to get a rise out of her. She honestly believed he did these things on purpose. Did he really like to see her fuss about everything? Did he actually like her sassy attitude? Whatever it was...right now, he was being bearable. Actually tender. She was an emotional wreck, but also a sassy feline with the worst attitude imagined. Aside from that, she could be a teacher. She liked to give advice - to kits. She liked to dote over apprentices and always praise them. She stirred clear from most of the Warriors. She wasn't a big fan of them. Shifting her head slightly, so that she could see Lynxkit and Mothkit curled in a nest. She hoped that Mothkit didn't have to go through the desperation of finding love. Thea doubted Weaselshade could love her. But the kits developing inside of her will offer her the love and support that she needed. Mothkit and Nightkit loved her. She loved them even more than words could tell. Though she stayed nestled into him - albeit, leaving enough space so that it wouldn't be awkward, her head slumped to the bottom of his arm. "So, I promise to...be nicer." She mumbled. "And, stop being unreasonable. We can at least try to like each other. It don't have to be pretend. But, I'll be willing...if you are." She brought up her head, noticing at first glance that he was a lot bigger than her. She tried to keep a friendly face. At least as friendly as Thea could get around the tom. "But, maybe we just need to spend more time together," she rolled her shoulders, and looked off into the distance. Spending time together was a good thing. Though, maybe their interests would differ a lot. But, at least it would bring them much closer as parents when she had their kits.

The tom's mind was in the heat of the moment. Listening to her heart beating as well as his. The rhythmic movement. To Weaselshade it was almost magical. As magical as it could get. Her head leaned up against his forleg and chest. Somewhere between the two. His tail curled around in a gentle and almost protective manner. It seemed like a dream. An illusion. But it wasn't. He could feel the beautiful molly's pelt beneath his tail and her head on his chest. He could feel and hear her breathing. His mind concluded the one thing he had been dreading and longing, it was real. The tom's eye half closed in bliss. The joy that what was happening was actually happening was unbearable. He couldn't help but feel relaxed. Notice the happiness it brought just to be so close to her. Not pinning her down or creeping up on her, but curling up next to her. And the best part, she returned the favor. The tom couldn't help but lightly purr for a moment. Then she felt her head fall down to his arm. His eyes shot open. Had she changed her mind? Was she leaving? Was she going to yell at him? Was it just a trick? At her next words he knew that that was not the case. "I was ready for a long time." he purred, adjusting his weight, but keeping close to Thea and kelping his tail on her back. Her next words shocked him. She wanted to spend time with her? Yes, that seemed to be what she had said. "Of course." he purred. It was a miracle. A true miracle. Never had the tom been so happy. Never. First she cuddled with him, then she wanted to spend more time together? Of course it was in the interest of the kits, but he was still joyous.
