Re: ThunderClan Territory
-- @ starshooter --
Ploverspot was heading out into the territory his grey fur shining in from the small sunrays that made its way through the thick canopy in the forest. Shaking his long fur he sat down in a good spot waiting for Myrtlepaw to show up. He'd been out on his own, getting used to the territory and testing out efficient hunting techniques in order to know how to best teach his little apprentice how to hunt. And so he waited, scenting out any prey that wouldn't prove too hard for the young apprentice and was happy to smell and hear that there was both mice and voles in the nearby area. Or there would likely be more prey further out as well.

Re: ThunderClan Training Cave

{ Doetraining}
Doepaw sighed. It all seemed very confusing to her but he'd tried and she really appreciated it. She tried to do what he'd explained, and she moved a bit, pressing her paws softly into the ground as she tried to correct her own position without too much noise. The sound of them moving their paws on the rough sand and cave floor frustrated her ears and she willed her best to try not to aggravate her own ears further. However, feeling a tad bit of bravery she replied, "Maybe... you... should... move... more... quietly... Your...pawsteps...go... boom..boom..boom.. You'll..be...heard...by...Shadowclan." It amused her a bit. But she had to concentrate on the task he'd given her and so she slowly tried to tuck her tail in between her hindlegs but her coordination not being the best her tail somehow managed to hook a leg and the apprentice, who'd begun to sit up on her haunches fell forward as she tried to keep her balance but with her tail intertwined with her hindleg she just fell directly into the sand and rolled over. She was tired of not being able to manage her paws but she knew... the only way to become a warrior was to try again. And again. And this time Doepaw was determined not to make a fool of herself. She was just recently starting to discover her competitive mindset and she knew that if she wanted to become a warrior she had to do this again, and again and again until she got it right. And so she just tucked her tail in close to her body, not between her legs and sat down on her haunches, this time managing to keep her balance. Slowly she lifted her front paws out in front of her and making sure she didn't make as much sound she instead of thumping down on the ground landed on her paws, absorbing the sound and the small cracking sound was much nicer for her. "Was..that... alright?"

"Oh, you're fine," Ivypaw mewed, though she furrowed her brows a bit; a blind date? ...Interesting.

Re: ThunderClan Territory
Silversky glanced backward at her new apprentice, Blizzardpaw. It was startling how much the two looked alike. Right down to the very heterochromatic eyes!
She was determined to do it right this time. Blackpaw had left, but she wouldn't lose Blizzardpaw. She'd stay by him and protect him to the end.
"Come on, Blizzardpaw," she called calmly. "I'll show you around."

Blizzardpaw hurried over to her call so excited to finally get out of camp and explore the forest that surrounded the camp. The smell of the grass and chirping of the birds was quite relaxing. So relaxing he forgot where he was going and ended up bumping into a tree
"Ow." he said falling into the ground. "Where were we going again Silversky?"

{ Myrtletraining }
Myrtlepaw padded steadily out into the territory. It was one he was still quite unfamiliar with, but was slowly getting more used to as he spent more time in the clan. Meeting up with his elderly mentor, the apprentice gave him a friendly nudge. "So... what are... are... we doing... to... today?" His mew was shaky, he still felt unsafe out in the forest after the last incident the two cats had when they went out together. The russet tom just hoped whatever was planned, that it was not going to be ruined by another invading clan cat. Regardless of his fear, Myrtlepaw was still excited to learn, he hadn't been taught much yet, so finally having the opportunity to train was an exciting feeling.

Re: Rogueland Woods
StarClan above, why did that Duskstar have to appoint this pompous jerk to be his apprentice? What in her right mind told her that the warrior could handle this sort of annoyance in his life? Baloney. It was utter baloney. But, at least he could stand there and get a laugh out of Poppypaw's clumsy maneuver and all out attack on the culprit: a root. "Be careful, it might strike back," he meows flatly, copper eyes glittering with amusement before moving on. "Out in the forest, you have to be aware of all of your surroundings. Not just the annoying ones who make you do things you don't want to do." Observing the tom's crouch, he lets out an exasperated sigh and tuts. "Move your paws apart, and lower your backside. Keep yourself just above the ground so you're not dragging anything beneath your belly. And be mindful of your tail, please. It's a flag to any prey around if you don't keep it low and steady."

Re: ThunderClan Territory
@ Rainquail @ FlamingScars
Rootstone merely grunted as Breezehen thanked her for the complement, her tail flicking dismissively. It wasn't very often that she gave out compliments, she tended to hold others to high standards. When Breezehen was ready, the large brown spotted she-cat stalked off into the undergrowth with a grin. Her nose had focused in on the smell of at least three songbirds, probably settled in a bush chirping away to their hearts content.
There was something thrilling about crashing through the undergrowth to flush prey out to be caught, really it was her favorite part about hunting. The scent became stronger and stronger and soon she heard the sound of the chirping as well, the sound of leaves rustling as they hopped from branch to branch inside of the bush. Briefly she looked to the other warrior to make sure she was ready. Honestly, it wasn't a great idea unless Breezehen could catch a couple of birds at once, but Rootstone wasn't very bright.
Licking her lips her pupils narrowed and the warrior went crashing into the bush, swiping out with a paw, startling the birds to send out calls of alarm as they attempted to fly off. Thankfully Rootstone's speed and immediate swipe knocked one of the birds to the ground, the power of it stunning the bird just long enough for the warrior to put an end to it. The other two were attempting to fly off.

As soon as Myrtlepaw made it, Ploverspot perked up, grey ears twitching. At his question the old tom rose to his feet once again and started to explain, "Today's we're hunting. Basics. Nothing too overly complicated, but we're still going to practice. Now, now, I learned how to hunt back in Shadowclan and it is quite different. Here, you'll learn to hunt voles, mice, squirrels and birds. Take a deep breath, there are clear scents of mice and voles in this area, and if we move further out we can possibly run into a squirrel or some sort of bird." With that he moved a bit further away, dropping his hips and then his haunches as he slid into a crouch, not the traditional Thunderclan crouch, his old bones was making it harder for him as well as seasons as a Shadowclan cat. "This is not optimal, but its the easiest, a mix of Shadowclan and Thunderclan. You'll have to place your weight on your hindlegs and move extremely careful. Mice are aware of the vibrations in the ground and will therefore feel and hear your presence before they can see you. Now you try." He nodded at Myrtlepaw as he slid out of the crouch, his bones creaking a bit as he sat up.

Re: ThunderClan Training Cave
"Si" he replied amusingly with a nose twitch. "Oh, that! How did you know?? I guess it was that obvious, hm." Just thinking about the brown warrior made his fur bristle. "There are many things that can get under a cat's pelt like fleas, ticks, burrs, etcetera etcetera. But, the Buckbranch is so pestiferous at every clan meeting," the tabby sighed, quickly giving up on his complaining. " Any-paw, I can't defy your words so...okay, master." Quillpaw stared at Duskstar for a while with yellow eyes wide enough to see every speck in it. He broke the staredown with a blink and hummed loudly. "...How are you? Lately? Today? At sunrise and sunset? I don't mean to be a bugger however it's hard to ignore your tautness. Not like I'm ignoring, no, no, I'm always concerned for the Duskstar."
