Aggravated by the arrogance and stupidity of this cat, Doeflame lunged at him again, swinging one paw at one side of his head before swinging the other one through at his legs in an attempt to knock him to the ground.

He twisted his head but her claws raked across his cheek "oi! Don't scratch my beautiful face!" Iro ran a paw over the wound, thankfully it didn't graze to deep. He narrowed his gaze "well if u want to play this way, then so be it.." he got down into a crouch. His tail twitched and while the icy blue gaze focused on her movements.

Glad that the cat was at least going to fight like a normal cat and not be a coward, Doeflame snorted at his dramatic words before lunging at him as soon as he had dropped into his crouch. Swinging one clawed paw for his ears, she lifted the other into the air before aiming to smash it down onto his paws, hopefully pinning them and him in his crouch. @Leafí

He immediately felt weight on his front paws, so without thinking he head butted her shoulder as hard as he could.

Digging her claws into the tom's paws just a little bit, Doeflame was knocked back by his headbutt, which she had not been expecting. In her experience it was best not to throw your head around like a battering ram, but if this was a habitual move it might explain the strangeness of this cat. Recovering quickly, since she hadn't been fully toppled only hit back into an awkward sitting position, she attacked again, swinging a blow at his shoulder and another at his legs, again aiming to knock them out from under him. She did it often, but if it worked, it worked well. @Leafí

If a red exclamation mark could pop up above his head, it would. Wouldn't that get him in trouble if ...if dawnstar had already laid out cats for such a position?! But then again..the feeling of power hummed in his veins. It was all too tempting..
"I guess so. If you really want me to . Are you thinking of me being an advisor?..like..hey you might wanna go do this today.." he was testing the waters. Not wanting to get too far ahead with himself and possibly ruin the only friendship he had.

Hissing he shook his paws trying to ignore the stinging throb, he just barley ducked enough to avoid her vicious swipe, bunching his muscles he snaked forward and sliding under her belly. Angling his head slightly downward, he pushed off his hind legs and rammed her stomach hopefully using enough Momentum to knock her back wards.

They approached the stream. It was shallow enough that larger felines could still touch the bed while wading through the middle though younger apprentices would have to paddle the full way. Talonstone flicked his tail towards it. "Enter the water," he commanded Pumpkinpaw. "Experiment with how it flows, the drenched sand lying below. Tell me what you find." He stood back patiently, having done this twice before.

Had he said that he would give pointers later? If so, he rescinded his words. The warrior watched from his position, observing Larkpaw's strategy. The apprentice's enthusiasm amused him, made him feel lighter. Few felines enjoyed learning such unorthodox skills.

"Larkpaw," the shadowdweller called for his attention. "Be sure that your claws are out fully. You feel the ridges in the bark of the tree—hook your claws into there. When scaling, only loosen one paw at a time; keep the other three locked in—that will assist with stability. Like walking, start with your forelegs. You cannot move if your hindlegs have nowhere to go."

Talonstone was tempted to demonstrate himself, but he didn't wish to ruin Larkpaw's concentration. Really, the tom was off to a good start, especially for one who'd never had formal climbing instruction before.

Embershadow stalked through the pine forest, grateful for the chance to be away from the camp for a little while. He ducked under some low-laying branches of a bush, eyes peeled for the small movements of prey. It was the scent, however, of a pidgeon that caught his attention. The young tom automatically dropped into a crouch, noting the wind as he did so. Embershadow navigated the undergrowth until he layed eyes on the bird, who was pecking the ground a few tail lengths away. He gathered himself and pounced. By the time the pidgeon realized he was there, it was to late. Feeling pleased with himself, Embershadow picked up his prey and trotted back to bury it with the rest of his catch.
