Willowpaw nodded chirping out a "Yes Lionstar!" Before grabbing her moss and bounding out to go to the medicine cats den following Rainpuddle and hoping the others were soon behind.

If Sunpaw wanted to become the perfect apprentice and future Lionheart he had to show Lionstar his interest in the clan. Easily gathering all of his confidence the fiery tom padded into the Lionsden. "Lionstar." Stating the golden leader's name to gain his attention. "I would like to help in any way I can for the den expansions." Sunpaw wanted to fidget but restrained himself from doing so, was his help needed?

An outing of herb-gathering with Flyfur, an unprecedented conversation, a day to his thoughts, an evening of pacing, and the rest of the night spent in agonizing regret. Fawnsqueak could keep the guilt at bay by blaming her, her actions ruining a plan and a future and a friendship and who knew what else--but that.. it was so wrong and unfair and he knew that. If resentment was acid rain, it poured upon both of them. He'd done it this time. Rash thoughts turned to verbal poison when combined with a superiority complex and sharp disappointment; there was no taking it back, yet he didn't even feel right apologizing. Flyfur wouldn't want to see him. That was the way it should be.

Naturally, Fawnsqueak ended up at the metaphorical doorstep of someone familiar with a lack of apologies, enough self-hatred to sustain a war, and an ongoing conflict with desire. Impulsion damned them both, exacerbated by the need to be heard when they were better off silenced. The leader's den was before him and Fawnsqueak was followed inside by swarming shadows licking at his soul, thoughts dark and tied in a web of complication.

He circled around the den once, a mutter escaping him. "I've done it now," a trembling, shaky breath, "I've really done it. Done it this time. No excuse, either. I've been terrible." It was only half-conscious until his gaze landed on Lionstar, brightening in recognition as if realizing him for the first time.

"Oh, Lionstorm," he miserably moaned, collapsing as his forepaws slid down the nest and sent him flopping to the floor in an oomph. It didn't halt the next wail, "Lionstorm. I've messed up, badly. I've... it's awful, I hate myself."

Tinykit nodded, but saw there were a lot of cats now in the den. Perhaps it was time to head back to the nursery. Mainly due to the fact that he was tired. The kitten let out a yawn. "Gotta head to bed.", he yawned. Tinykit managed to get on his paw and head out of the den to curl up in his nest in the nursery.

Unfortunately for Sunpaw, he was a bit late to the party and all the patrols had already been sent out.

But Lionstar wasn't a stick in the mud, he recognized the potential for help and already had something in mind for him. "We don't need more cats building dens.." he began, "but why don't you go around and see if any of them need help gathering materials?"
