"Flutterpaw! Magpiepaw! Spiritpaw! Dawnpaw!", Fawnpaw cheered the name of his new denmates eagerly. He proceeded to cheer as loudly as possible for his new denmates and made a note to help them pick a nest in the den after the meeting.

Oh, wonderful! She had an Apprentice now! She brightened, looking for Flutterpaw and purring; "Hellooo? New Apprentice?" She giggled. This would be fun!

The gasp was LOUD, breathtaking, and if he wasn't white before the albino kid would be pale now!!

He scrambled in the direction of Buckstars voice, stopping a few inches away in front of the base of the thunderwillow. He wanted to scramble up and practically throw himself at Eveningmist but for now... Spiritpaw let out a SQUEAL of excitement.

"MY EVENINGMISSST!! Hes MY mentor!!" The laugh that followed was practically that of evil scientist laughter.

As Spiritpaw was made an apprentice, Eveningmist was fully ready to see him get assigned to one of his clanmates, but when it was announced that he would be the one to mentor the little albino spitfire, a wide smile quickly grew on his maw. A chuckle escaped him when the cheer of his new apprentice met his ears, and he quickly began descending the tree to reach the young tom.

All previous nervousness had been pretty much forgotten by the time he reached the ground, his smile much more genuine than when the meeting had first started. A loud purr rumbled from the bengals throat as he curled his tail around Spiritpaw, his head lowering to touch his nose to spirits.

Silverclaw was smiling brightly. "Spiritpaw! Dawnpaw! Flutterpaw! MAGPIEPAW!" Silverclaw meowed, saying her kit's name rather loudly.

Bluekit cheered the names with the rest of Thunderclan. That would be four less kits to play with but he at least had his best friend Softkit.

Softshadow grunted, then looked to his apprentice. “I guess your my apprentice now.” He snapped, and sat back down. (Softshadow is evil so yeh)

She was actually an apprentice, finally an apprentice! She gave an involuntary squeal, twirling around before she jolted to a stop. Maybe that was too immature. Maybe she should try to act like a warrior now.

She straightened up hesitantly, ears twitching. Her mentor... what had been the name? She couldn't remember now-

Oh! There. Good, she was calling! The kit- no, apprentice- scampered forward, not bothering to be dignified. After all, with a new rank came new freedom, right? She didn't have to conform to societal maturity norms! She could do whatever she wanted now!

Flutterpaw skid to a stop at the feet of the strange cat, suddenly unsure. A wave of unfamiliar shyness made her pause and blush; maybe this mentor would be strict. Or stinky. "Are you stinky?" she blurted, before covering her mouth with her tail-tip. "Stars! Oh- um- sorry, no, wait, I don't mean that. Er- I'm Flutterkit. Flutterpaw," she corrected breathlessly. Confusion clouded her senses. She was tripping over her tongue- this never happened! Sallying forth, she tried again. "You're my mentor, right?" she mewed. "If you aren't that would be embejewelling- embarrassing. Like the time I thought Lionpaw was an actual lion! But I think you are. In that case, I'm super excited! We're going to train, right? And lots of other stuff? What's your name? Sorry I forgot, I- I have short term memory loss. And I'm talking a lot. Stars, sorry about that! I do that when I get excited. But this is awfully exciting, isn't it?" She gave a little hop- this was better. Her chest was full of bubbling joy and eagerness but at the same time... a different emotion.

It didn't feel good. It was dark. And angry. But she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Flutterpaw forced herself to ignore it. It must be a part of getting older. But she wouldn't let anything ruin today- today was a good day. The best day. Hope filled her eyes as she gazed up at the cat- her new mentor.

Gingerpaw cheered alongside Bluesky and everyone else. Maybe now Buckstar would make some new warriors to free up space in the apprentices den. He wondered who could be fit to become a warrior. Maybe Hawkpaw. He was getting old enough.
