Re: Training Maplepaw
@ wendigo - Maplepaw [I forgot Leech had an apprentice or I would have gotten this up sooner. I looked and it seems like Maple is only missing Battle Training, Territory Tour, and posts, but feel free to correct me.]
It was early in the morning, and today was the day. Leechscar had only recently learned or remembered that he had an apprentice after being told by Twilightstar. Technically, this was her fault for assigning him an apprentice when he had been out of camp, but regardless work needed to get done.
"Maplepaw," Leechscar's gruff snarl came from the entrance of the apprentice den where the huge warrior sat, waiting for the apprentice to join him. He lapped at the big scar on his chest and waved his tail too and fro impatiently until the paw finally arrived.
"We haven't been properly introduced, I'm Leechscar your new mentor." He meowed once the paw showed her face "We've got work to do, and I've got some busy paws. So let's start by telling me what you can do. You've been around the territory, known how to hunt rabbits or anything else? Has anyone given you any battle training?"
Leechscar found that asking them what they do know what to do always got him a somewhat vague answer. It was better to ask what he wanted to know specifically.

Re: Training Maplepaw
Maplepaw
A tall tri-colored she-cat with blue/green heterochromia.
a light Russian accent [R's are rolled or 'purred']
Purrk(s): Monkey's Paw (wish & withdrawal determined)
Not the most social cat

Maplepaw was zoned out when a cat walked up to her. She turned her fluffy head towards the tom. Oh..- this guy was much taller than Maplepaw. She felt a little intimidated, but, of course, she wasn't going to show that, because she might as well show off all her weak spots during battle and might as well show everyone her belly, too, because those are things only mentors should know. It wasn't like this tall man was her mentor, right?
Haha!
Hah...
Wait-.. this was Leechscar?! He's so... large?!!
Maplepaw shook her head as Leechscar started to ask and explain stuff. As soon as he was done speaking, she started. "No.. battle trrraining... yet." She then lifted her paws. "I have been around the territory. I think only around Windy Hills and Twilight Falls, though. And yes, I can hunt rabbits."
50/100

Re: Training Maplepaw
@ wendigo - Maplepaw [Sorry for the wait, I didn't know you replied]
Leechscar licked the scar on his chest and fell silent for a moment. So, she had most of her training done but needed a tour and some battle training. That shouldn't be too much work.
"Let's focus on Battle Training and I'll take you out to finish your tour later," Leechscar advised, ordering the she-cat to follow him as he led the way out of camp and into the territory. He didn't go far from camp, he paused in a grass field and turned to Maplepaw.
"You were in the battle with the minks, right? So, you have some battle experience, although fighting with a trained warrior is different. Let's work on what you should do if you get taken to the ground." She had struggled with the minks, if he was recalling correctly, stuck on the ground. He wasn't sure how well this would work with minks, but regarding cats, it should work wonders.
"Before I teach you what do you think you should do if you got pinned on the ground."
