The tom frowned when Fadingsun dodged his attempt. He almost didn't see the blow to his side coming and only managed to dodgge one of them. The other caught him by surprise and he fell to the floor with a thud. Hastily he got back up again, though a little off balanced, and attempted a swipe at Fadingsun's head. Of course not in an area that would leave a broken jaw or other permanent damage, he was just trying to confuse his opponent a little.

Fadingsun jerked his head back as the blow came his way, but the paw still managed to graze his muzzle. Thankfully no claws were allowed, otherwise he'd definitely be bleeding.

Deciding to try something different, Fadingsun under Cedarfrost's reach and jumped forward, trying to nip at his chest. If he succeeded, the nip would pinch, but it wouldn't draw any blood. As he did so, he swept his right paw towards Cedarfrost's front legs in an attempt to knock him off balance.

Deerspark quickly stood onto his hind legs, using his height as an advantage.

He quickly swiped at Amberwing's cheek. It was a blow powerful enough to knock her down but not hurt.

He hoped the least it would do was sting.

Luckily, the fact that she'd already been prepared meant she could dodge to the side. She did take the hit on her side, but it wasn't nearly strong enough to hurt her or do more than unsteady her from that angle. She backed up a good bit, having a specific plan in mind for any way she could think for him to approach her. She was wavering, and the last thing she needed was to show that. Better to give herself some space.

Sparrowsnarl immediately let up when the other tom went limp in submission, licking the dust from his shoulder where he landed on it. When Stagheart spoke, the large tom's eyes glittered with respect. "Thank you." He meowed, voice gruff from disuse. "Been a while since I enjoyed a fight like that one. Almost gave me a run for my prey there." His lips quirked upward in what must have been his version of a smile, and he dipped his head. "Let me know if you're wanting a rematch some time."

With that settled, Sparrowsnarl settled down on the sidelines to watch the remaining fights. If Stagheart wanted to sit next to him and watch, he was welcome to.

[ABSOLUTELY!!! We should have them spar more often, I think they (and us) could become good friends : D]

"...I was just thinkin' the same thing. Might have to take ya up on that," Stagheart purred, padding over to sit himself next to the warrior when he took a seat. His eyes followed all the apprentices, all the warriors with interest.

Winterpaw jumped a bit, expecting it to be a flipping move, but no. It still hit his leg and sent him tumbling for a bit, but he stood up, and started walking in all directions to confuse Adderpaw. As soon as she got distracted, he'd zigzag his silly way around and try to... uhhhhh... knock her legs down?
He had not much of a clue what he was doing.

Troutstone flicked his tail in salute to Dusklion, and gave the two a moment to say buh-bye before toughing his tail-tip to Cobwebpaw's shoulder. "C'mon, let's get you home."
He looked at the other apprentice, Moonpaw, as she said something. "The more the merrier!" He grinned, then with a flick of his tail began leading the way.

Deerspark stared curiously back at Amberwing, his back arched.

In a few quick blurring movements, he dropped low to the ground and attempted to tackle her legs.

He wasn't completely sure what good it would do, probably close to none.

Deerspark was already losing steam, his breaths short and shallow.

Hopefully a winner would be declared soon. Until then, he was definitely going to fight until he dropped from exhaustion, which hopefully was a while for now.

While she certainly wasn't immune to being knocked down, that seemed to be all anyone in this fight was trying. She ducked to the side, hoping he'd completely miss, but taking note of his shallow breathing. He was tiring. She aimed a paw towards his side, quick but weak, meant to help wear him down.

Deerspark was knocked backwards, falling onto his back with a grunt. It was embarrassing really, the hit wasn't even that hard. Yet, he was tired enough to fall back easily.

Perhaps he could make a show of his growing sluggishness. He could act more tired than he was, confuse his opponent.

He lay on the icy ground for a few moments, trying to act as dramatic as humanly possible. He probably looked like a fool right now, but hopefully it'd be to his benefit.

Without giving himself time to think, he lunged at the she-cat and swiped at her throat. He was already groggily, so only Starclan knew if the blow would land.

Just in case it didn't, he gave Amberwing a quick THWACK on her temple. If he succeeded, then the hit wouldn't be to painful, just a quick lick of dizziness.

Kicking himself back to his paws, he attempted to steady his breathing.

The first hit grazed her, but she was almost cocky. The second hit hit her dead on, although with her bit of given time earlier, she shook it off quickly. "Any other plans?" She called out to the tiring cat, not letting a hint of exhaustion seep into her voice. Ironically, hiding it only made her more tired. Still, she had stamina. She was certain she could last this out as long as there was no cheating or claws to be found.

He didn't respond. Words would be quite in vain in this situation, especially in the state he was in. He wasn't about to give out, absolutely no way. He'd fought a fox before for Starclan's sake! He could wait it out, think it all through.

It was almost unfair how he still got immediate brain fog despite his want to prove himself.

He didn't need to win by any means, heck, he kind of didn't want to, but his odds were dwindling, and his ego was obviously bruising.

Not that he had a huge ego in the first place, he believed it was average size, maybe even a bit smaller than average. It still hurt though, feeling dignity slip between his claws.

It made Deerspark realize that when fighting an actual threat he relied on blood loss more than anything, quick surprising movements and fast drumming paws.

But he was one on one, and he would dare even try to hurt Amberwing or anyone in his clan for that matter.

He just waited patiently. He knew he had an opening, but he wanted to be careful.

Deerspark leaped over the warrior, clearing the cat in a few heartbeats, and used his back legs to attempt to kick Amberwing in the head. Considering how quickly she recovered from the last attack, it probably wouldn't do much.

Buying himself some thinking time was all he really needed.
