The tom shuffled over and picked a few leaves of the catmint as well. He probably picked 1 well sure it was only 1 but still. Scanning the clearing he moved over to dig some roots up. Claws gently scooping the dirt out he grabbed 4 roots before turning back around. Mumbling around his mouthful of herbs what does borage look like again?
The brown and white tom padded easily out of camp with his patrol. He didn't have any particular destination in mind when he started out, though his mind worked through the territory as he walked, trying to work out the best spot for him to head towards. He could continue in one direction as he was doing and he'd inevitably end on a spot that had a decent opportunity to catch prey but he wasn't sure he wanted to leave anything to chance during his first lead. Nonetheless, before he figured on a location to head towards, his nose caught the mingling scents of mice and birds, and even some lizards. He wasn't sure how much success they'd have in catching the lizards due to the cold, but the infrequent bouts of sunshine may have brought some to the surface where they'd be slow and easy to catch if they found any. He slowed and turned to Poppyshine and Sharppaw, "Don't stray too far. We should stay together in accordance with the new rule. If we want to move out further than we can move on to a different spot. Sound good?"
Sharppaw post 15
Sharppaw nodded and began sniffing the ground for scents of prey. She smelled an unfamiliar scent near a tree however and called out "Ummmm, what is this?"
(its badger btw)

Swanpaw turned her head to look at the other warrior in their small trio she frowned not knowing anything about Borage leaves. "Sorry I don't know too much about that." she mumbled through her mouth full of herbs.
It's a list of people he loves/loved that died or are alive. Cloversun is the only alive one lol.)
Mintbranch gave a shy smile. "Thanks. I try to keep it secret from others. I think I can trust you though." he said. After a few moments of silence the tom meowed. "Y-you can look around if you want."
Cloversun smiled and nodded. "Yes, you can trust me. I won't tell anyone." She could sense his awkwardness, and was beginning to feel it herself. She smiled again when he broke the silence, then began looking around, not really knowing what else to do.

Mintbranch nodded. "Thank you...sorry for...the mess." he meowed, his voice wavering with uncertainty. "How...umm how are you?"
He was a little peeved that it seemed Poppyshine had already broken the new rule, or had never left camp to begin with. He realized the rule was made by Dawnstar, born from her mistrust of her clanmates, but he was the patrol lead and to not enforce one of her set rules would cast suspicion on himself, thus the root of why he found himself so irritated by the rule break. But that was also on top of his dedication to his clan and being faced with a warrior who was not upholding their commitment to Shadowclan. As he moved more slowly along with Sharppaw, he parted his lips to try to more accurately pinpoint any prey nearby but his blood suddenly ran cold, only voiced by Sharppaw’s observation. ”Shh,” he hushed quietly as he moved closer to the tree the apprentice was near to get a better scent. The scent wasn’t fresh but badger scent was concerning nonetheless. Being that he was seemingly alone with only himself and an apprentice, Shrewstone turned to Sharppaw though his attentions remained on the surrounding territory. Quietly, he ordered, ”This way. We’ll report a possible badger when we return to camp.” He turned, backtracking along the path they’d taken to get there. This was the first he’d smelled the badger so he assumed the beast had lumbered off in a different direction and figured the safest route was the one they’d come in on.
After backtracking a distance, Shrewstone turned off into a small thicket and took a deep breath. He didn’t catch any concerning scents but decided to remain cautious nonetheless; the knowledge of a badger potentially in the territory somewhere was nothing to be taken lightly. He turned to Sharppaw. ”Keep your senses sharp but I think we should be okay here.”
He took another deep breath to clear the stench of badger from his memory and focused on the various rodent and bird scents filling the thicket. He turned quickly on a blue jay scent and stalked forward quickly until the bird came into view, perched on a bramble bush with its attention directed towards the ground as though looking for a good scratch spot. He waited a moment for the bird’s focus to move opposite of himself then sprang. His unsheathed paws hit the birds back, dropping it to the ground on the other side of the bush then dealt it a quick killing bite before burying it where he’d killed it.

Sorrelflare flicked his tail toward the borage plant he had grabbed, though with how many roots that were collected only one borage leaf would be grabbed but Sorrelflare didn't care. His eyes were flickering around as he awaited for the last herb to be grabbed so they could started heading back.

Sharppaw post 16
Sharpaw followed the warriors clear instructions, carefully moving away. She noticed that yet another warrior failed to bother with a patrol, this time not even showing up? WOW. how pathetic. As the cat she hoped would become her mentor gracefully captured a blue bird, Sharppaw slunk around in the Shadows, watching as a Shrew cautiously poked out of a bush. this was a rather large one it seemed, but sharppaw was confident. She crouched silently, falling into her hunting position like many times before. She zero'ed in on her prey, mouth nearly watering at the potential of being aloud to eat it. She leaped when the time was right, landing claws first on the bids neck. she struggled slightly to snap its neck, allowing it to give a loud warning chirp to the other birds in the area, before she killed it.

Cloversun grinned, beginning to feel more comfortable here, with Mintbranch. She realised then, that she liked the tom. Maybe, more than just as a friend. And maybe, he liked her too. She thought that he might. "I like you," the mottled orange-and-black warrior tried to make it sound casual, but watched his expression closely.
