Iciclepaw was about to explain to the warrior that 'Sicklepaw' wasn't exactly her name, but she had already started showing her the basic crouch. She was about to shift her own dark grey body into the position Wildflower had shown, but it looked like she had other plans. Why's she pouncing so many times?

She stopped soon thankfully, only to say the wrong name once more- earning a frown from the apprentice. "My name's Iciclepaw..." she meowed softly [probally too soft for Wildflower to hear] before crouching down. The position was okay-ish, though she was shaking slightly. Moving forward, she took a paw step- and another two. Then, she pounced at some imaginary prey- but unfortunately landed pretty loudly. "Oops..."

[ @Paradise - if you don't mind, could Wildflower teach Icicle about sniffing for prey... only if you have the time of course! We can always pretend she taught her that later]

Tidekit was finally outside! She could smell other cats, but they could've left awhile ago! She tumbled into the bushes and felt thorns poke into her. She yelped, but tried to keep it quiet; she was still nearby the camp, all she did was fall on her next pawstep! She tried to shake the thorns away, which only made it worse, but she moved around and finally found a way out after a few heartbeats. She felt pain all through her, but she could get in a lot of trouble leaving camp then heartbeats later being caught in a bush full of thorns! She limped further away, trying her best not to yowl in pain. She was alright, she was being a Warrior! She'd find a piece of prey, kill it, bring it back to camp with battle scars she'll wear until she's an even bigger Warrior! She'd skip being an Apprentice and instantly be made a Warrior! She could see it now.

She forgot about being quiet, pretending to be her Leader, "I, Buckstar, called this meeting to announce our brave and strong Warrior-Kit that went through a bush of thorns to find fresh-kill for our Clan; Tidekit. I announce her new Warrior name to be Tidebrave--" Or would it be Tidestrong? Or Tidestar! "Tidestar! She will be the first second Leader of ThunderClan!" Not thinking about how much pain she was in, she dipped her head as if she was in the ceremony right where she stood. "Thank you very much for this, Buckstar! I'll be the greatest Leader anycat has ever seen!"

Tidekit felt excitement go through her and she rushed forward to find fresh-kill. "Tidestar, here I come!"

The apprentice was attentive. That was good! Yes, very good. Good. Good good good. That was a fun word. Sounded weird after she said it over and over, even in her head...

She shook said head, training her focus back on Sicklepaw, who was mumbling something she couldn't hear. Probably not important then! Wildflower watched with wide eyes as the younger molly copied her own stance.

"Hey, that's pretty good for a first try, Sicklepaw!" she congratulated, tail flicking high above her head. "Okay, okay, so ya need to relax. Like, tense your muscles so you aren't an ooey gooey puddle, which is fun, but not what we need, so don't do that! But also relax. Like you're so tense I'm surprised you moved at all! That why you're vibrating so much," she explained, with way more words than was probably necessary.

She assessed the pounce next. "Hmm, and...it helps to actually be aiming at something when you pounce. Like...a leaf!" She bounced over to a leaf an prodded it with her paw. "Yeah, like this one! You wanna push off with your hind legs when you pounce, and land on your front paws, so your weight comes down on the prey." She nodded. She was gonna be a great mentor!

More with the 'Sicklepaw' ugggg... oh well, at least she was getting some good feedback! The apprentice listened, taking in what Wildflower had to say [which was a lot]. After she was done talking, Iciclepaw thought the tips over. "Okay- I'll try to relax a little." And at the instructions on pouncing, she just nodded.

Taking a breath, she took a few relaxed- light steps. Now for the pounce... Her dark grey paws pushed off the ground, and landed a little quieter then last time on the ground. "Was that okay?"

Tidekit looked around for a piece of prey to tackle, then heard the chirping of a bird not too high on a tree. She rushed over to the start of the bark, trying to dig her tiny claws into the tree. She looked at her paws and noticed they were being caught by some of the lesser parts of the bark, giving her grip anyhow. She smirked and, with one paw after another, she very slowly got a few inches in before she lost grip and fell. She gave a yowl this time and she heard the bird give a alarming set of chirps before fluttering away.

"No, wait! I- oww, ow ow!" She felt the thorns on her as she took a few steps forward.

Her eyes began to well up with tears.

NO! She was a big cat! Like the rest of the Warriors! She'd be fine.. she hoped. She glanced at the path back to the camp and shivered. What would the others say or do if they found her? She couldn't get caught now! They'd forgive her if they knew she was doing it to help her Clan. Yeah! That's what she'd say! She was just helping out.

Buckstar raised his head, a mouse clamped firmly in his jaws. He'd left to go hunting early in the morning, but so far this was all he had managed to scrounge up. Well, this and a scrawny shrew he'd buried some ways back, but that didn't count. It was barely enough to feed a kit.

With a sigh, he began to scrape a small hole into the ground, but the sudden scent that touched his nose made him pause and glance up. His eyes scanned the undergrowth. Whoever it was definitely smelled ThunderClan, but he couldn't help but wonder if it might be something else. "Who's there?"

Silverdust padded up silently "sorry for worrying you buckstar." She says looking at him and nods she sits down looking at him. "I have something that I wish to say but I do not know how to say it." She waited till she had his full attention after he was done burying his catch she sat with her tail wrapped around her paws.

As they entered the territory Iciclepaw fell quiet, nose trying to sniff out prey. "Thanks so much!" she whispered to Thunderchaser. It was getting to be new-leaf, so hopefully more prey would be out soon- but for now, the apprentice was trying her best to contribute to feeding the clan.

~Thunderchaser smiled smailed as she sniffed the air. Something was close , and it was small... The scent was almost like it had just gone by~ theres a rabbit to your right. Be careful and quiet we dont want to scare it away ~she whispered shifting her crouching body to the right~

A rabbit? Really- wow that's lucky! Better not mess up though...

Remembering her training, Iciclepaw crouched down and slowly started pawing forward- and soon she scented it too. Turning to Thunderchaser, she waited for a signal for when to pounce.

Tidekit looked around and found a mouse nibbling on something she couldn't quite find out, but all she knew was that it was prey! She jumped forward without thinking and grabbed its tail with her small claws, yet it squeaked and easily got away, leaving tiny scratches on its tail but otherwise it was unharmed as it scurried away.

Tidekit was about to rush after it yet she felt a thorn in her pad, making her hiss a bit as she quickly picked the paw back up. Why was this thorn so much more painful than the others all over her? She huffed and continued limping; she wouldn't give up.
