Pavel was there. He was waiting for Paige. He'd already talked to General Tesler about Paige. He told him to take her off the Occupation. Paige wasn't needed, and he was the superior commander.

Jaran ducked and slid out from under Paige, he grabbed her arms and brought them behind her back. "Calm down, damn it! Just LISTEN," he hissed in her ear. He took the disc from her and threw it to the ground.

Chris growled, but he couldn't drop Amber. He wanted to derezz Pavel.

Pavel grinned. He asked Tesler what to do with this lazy, disobeying, commander. He knew Paige couldn't do anything. Paige would be fired.

Paige's breathing was heavy. Her body shook with adrenaline. She felt highly uncomfortable in this position, being a female in the presence of a male, especially a male ISO, but she relented for the moment.

She could have properly messed this guy up.

But for some reason, she couldn't bring herself to do it.

"Pavel told me a very interesting story about you, Paige," the General began, arms folded in a deceivingly lenient manner.

"Sir, let me explain, please?" Paige was beginning to lose her cool. Amber's experiences were never going to be validated, even when three programs had evidence of Pavel's crimes plain on their discs! Paige, Amber, and Pavel himself. Paige wasn't aware of it, but Chris also had been part of the experiments, too!

"Now. If you promise not to attack me and listen, I'll let you go." Jaran's grip tightened, he wasn't letting her derezz him. And if she got away, she'd most likely report him.

(best part is that things like this are waaaayyyy too common in Uprising) (like the, um, sexual tension is way too high for a Y-7 rated show)

Paige said nothing, and only tried to calm her breathing. Her circuitry flickered violet in selective places-- tiny lightlines; barely visible. But wherever contact was made, the little purple lines bloomed for a split second, then vanished.

But why? She hated him! She hated his kind! Stupid female subroutines. Always getting in the way.

She decided to listen, seeing as how she couldn't get her disc back.

Paige immediately resumed a fighting stance as soon as he let go of her, still tense. "You needed my help. How do I know you wouldn't have derezzed me as soon as I brought you to that garage, going for the mechanics next?" she hissed, grabbing her disc again.
