A huge ginger she-cat loomed over her. Was her appearance the cause of her name? Mintpaw dipped her head to the older warrior and replied softly. "Yes. Greetings, Redlake." The serious tone, the huge shape and the scarred face of the she-cat made her appear like a bit intimidating, but Mintpaw didn't feel at unease. She seemed practical, and remembering the last patrol Cricketsting had led... Well, this will come useful.

Redlake dipped her head in a tad bit of joy; this apprentice actually was respectful. She looked around for another warrior called.. Cricketsting? She didn’t know. But she sat down and remembered all of the moves she had been taught about fighting.

Watching the patrols gradually gathering, it came to that tabby's attention that Egretpaw seemed to not be appearing. What with the later time at which he called the patrols, it was well possible for the apprentice to have gone out training - it wasn't as if he was seeing their mentor around either. So it is then.
"Pebblesplash, Fawnspring!"
The tabby called to the warriors before they could leave, turning their way.
"You'll be patrolling just the two of you. It appears Egretpaw has already gone out."
It wasn't ideal but they should be fine, hunting patrols often consisted of only two pairs anyway. Sending an apprentices along with them had mostly been to give them a chance at training and increase the likelihood of catching prey, but even at two they ought to find something.

With that out of the way, Gingerfrost inwardly huffed and turned back to his own patrolmates, who had gathered in the meantime. Flicking his tail as a signal to follow him, he headed off towards the territory at a calm pace.

He looked up as his name was called. Saltmeadow Marsh, huh? He flexed his claws. Shadowclan always gave him the hibbie gibbies. Especially with the way Dawnstar acted at gatherings. He didn’t doubt that the menacing molly had killed more than a few cats. But he figured that was all the more reason they had to patrol the border. He stretched and padded over to where he saw Fennelcall chatting with his apprentice. Am I interrupting something? Training was important, and he wouldn’t want to stand in the way. However he couldn’t help a prickle of annoyance. After all they did have a job to do. He pushed that down. The whole patrol wasn’t even assembled yet. There was no rule against small talk! ”Hello.” He meowed simply. He just wanted to let Fennelcall know he was here and ready. He turned and stood a bit away from the two of them so they could finish up their conversation.

Eh? the warrior grumbled as he got to his paws. He’d just dragged koidream back and now he was being sent out once again. His torn ear flicked in anticipation as he cast glances around the clearing. Pebblesplash and amberpaw. Better make the most of this hunting trip. shaking out his brown and white fur the fawn spotted tom began walking towards pebblesplash. Greetings, I am Fawnspring. I have recently returned from a journey far away from the clans. he knew it was weird but he was this cats senior.

Ooh! Fishing! She could do fishing for sure! Fun, fun, fun! She rolled on her paws for a moment before searching the crowd for the faces that matched the names. What did the cats look like again? She pricked her ears to be sure she wouldn't miss anyone calling out for her. That would be embarrassing. She tried to push through the crowd and reach a better place to look for her Clanmates when she spotted Troutstone- what a cool name- just a fox-length from her. Neat! Troutstone! she called, pushing through cats to approach them and not get lost.

Goldenleaf noticed Bluefang and went up to him after Gingerfrost called out the patrols, giving the orange deputy a nod before waiting for Robinpaw. He hoped to make up for the last time he went to Haven Springs. Goldenleaf had forgotten to report the patrol, so he hoped he wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. Speaking of Haven Springs, how come he was only being sent there in patrols? Out of all places, why Haven Springs? Although the place was nice, it would definitely start to get annoying soon.

Troutstone turned as someone called his name. Ah, Autumnpaw, he thought. He flicked his tail at her. "Now we are just waiting for Nettlesting," he meowed.
