Twistedpaw limped into the clearing, her useless right leg dangling stiffly. She looked around the clearing before deciding to settle herself at the edge of the clearing. She sighed slightly as she made her way over, and sat down. She wished she could get around easier, but what could you do with a bum leg?

Mintpaw quickly ran to catch up with her "Twistedpaw! Ive been lookig everywhere! You know I have to stay with you because of your leg!" She mewed, thats the way she was. She had the idea she always had to constantly protect Twistedpaw.

Twistedpaw smiled slightly and shifted. “Thorry, Mintpaw.” She purred. “I forgot to tell you I wath coming out here.” She winced as she staggered back to her paws. “You know, thometimes I wish we had stayed back in the nurthery that day.” She mumbled to herself. She shook the thought off and managed a smile. “What do you want to do?”

Whitewolf finished her counting, but actually found herself slightly alarmed when she opened her eyes to find Turtlekit gone. They were playing hide-and-seek. What had Whitewolf expected?

But still, it was weird to let a kit out of her sight like that. Was this how Stagheart felt when she and him used to play?

"Look out, Turtlekit," said Whitewolf. "I'm coming to find you."

The first place Whitewolf thought to check was the Elder's Den. Kits liked to go in there sometimes to hear stories, but when she checked it, she couldn't even smell Turtlekit.

Next was outside Sunhowl's Den. There was no whiff of her there either.

Perhaps she'd tried to blend in with the Apprentices? StarClan. Where was she?

After checking the entirety of Camp and not finding Turtlekit, Whitewolf had begun to worry that she'd gone into the Territory. That could have been a huge disaster. But before she panicked internally, she raised her head and called out.

"Okay, Turtlekit, I give up. You win."

Turtlekit dug her head into her fur each time her adoptive mother walked by, trying not to be seen. She loved playing games like this, but at the same time, it was terrifying. She barely even knew her mom, and the thought of being "hunted down" by a "random cat" seemed horrifying. Turtlekit let out a huge sigh of relief as she heard her mom call for her. She out of the bush and towards her mom, a massive smile on her face. She had won! She had won!!
