Porcupinekit sat in the clearing watching all the cats. He wanted to talk to Dawnstar about why he hadn't become a apprentice yet. But Porcupinekit sort of knew the answer already, because of his little adventure. He looked around at the clearing for someone to distract him from his urge. Porcupinekit turned to the entrance and noticed how there were no cats near it. He stood up and started towards the entrance.

The large tom couldn’t help but crack a smile at Talonkit’s wonder, how long it had been since he was a kit himself. Filled with that very same wonder, but his had been crushed. Trampled down upon, he’d lost the very things that gave him his spark and twisted it into something much more malicious. Underneath it all he still had his softness, just masked as yet another hard exteriored Shadowclan feline. His young would live up to his greatness, he would ensure it through and through.

His head craned upwards as he idly listened into the announcements. ”I’m sure papa will be just as proud of you when you become a paw’. The whole clan will, no one does it better than little Talon.” He was already filling her head with grandiose ideas, but these comments did truly come from a place of strong belief. How could anycat possibly do better than his own flesh and blood.

"I was doing nothing that concerns you." Porcupinekit hissed at the kit. "Why does it matter?" He meowed. He took a small step away from the kit and flicked his tail to the side.

The warrior sunk into the hunter's crouch, tail off the ground and hind paws close to her belly. ´´Whenever you are stalking prey, you need to make sure that your pawsteps are light and airy,´´ Larkbreeze explained, glancing over at Whitepaw. ´´There is a reason for this, too. Mice are small, and they are able to feel vibrations in the earth. Due to this, they will feel you before they scent or hear you if your pawsteps are too heavy. Does that make any sense?´´

With a nod, the warrior got to her paws and gathered up a few scraps of moss that she had taken from her nest in the warriors' den. Larkbreeze padded a few fox-lengths away and packed the moss into a pile. She walked back over to Whitepaw, her tail held high.

´´You see that pile of moss I just put over there?´´ Larkbreeze mewed, gesturing to the moss with her white forepaw. ´´I want you to stalk it. Keep your pawsteps light and airy, and only pounce whenever you are half a fox-length away. Understood?´´
