“Awesome, hopefully it’ll be all thawed out by now,” The young tomcat meowed to his close friend, “I don’t think I can stand hunting land critters anymore, you know?” He shook his head with a light-hearted laugh. Snowleap would always be a Riverclan warrior, loving to swim and fish like he was a born-and-bred Riverclan cat. The dark-furred feline couldn’t even imagine how he’d be if he lived in Thunderclan or Windclan, who thrived on land prey. Sure, Snowleap had the long legs to get the job done and he had done it many times before, but it just wasn’t his thing. He didn’t, however, regret the time that Dragonflyfrond and he went to Lionsbeach. They both had fun that day, despite the energy that went into catching those seagulls.

As the two young warriors started on the path to the stream that Dragonflyfrond has scented, Snowleap decided to spark up casually conversation on the way. “So, what have you been up to?” He said with a twitch of his whiskers, “It’s been awhile since we’ve hunted together like this.” It hadn’t been too terribly long, but the tall tomcat was interested in his dear friends' activities. He truly saw Dragonflyfrond as his best friend at this point in their lives. "I hope he at least sees me as a good friend." Snowleap thought, not wanting to assume anyone saw him as their best friend.

“You’re right it feels like it’s been moons! I haven’t been doing much. I sparred with Vinewatcher, but other than that I’ve just been busy hunting in leaf bare. What about you!” The silver warrior looked over at his friend his tail twitching excitedly. He puffed out his pelt half for the cold and half to release his excitable energy. Last time they had hunted had been a refreshing time for him. Sure he had still been a little anxious but when was he not anxious? He was Dragonflyfrond after all.

He wondered what Snowleap had been up to. His exaggeration about how long it had been wasn’t true in the slightest. It hadn’t really been moons, but it sure had felt that way! There weren’t many cats he felt truly comfortable around, and he always forgot how nice it was to be in their company when he wasn’t. He took a deep breathe. I’ll have to ask him to come hunting with me more often. He decided to himself, hoping he wouldn’t annoy Snowleap too much with this new resolution.

But I appreciate the compliment, thanks Lambdream.” He said this with a gentle purr rumbling in his throat, peering at the white-furred tomcat before looking down at everything they had caught. “Nice catch by the way! Now that the streams are thawing out, I need to start fishing again soon. Shall we start heading back to camp now, or do you have something else in mind?” Snowleap asked this with a tilt of his head, his ears twitching to the various sounds around him.

Lambdream purred to Snowleap," I think we've done quite well on our hunt. We can head over to camp, my warrior in shining fur" he purred. It was a rift off 'my knight in shining armor' but it was a creative expression he had heard when he was younger. He carefully dug up his catches so he could carry them to camp. He was quite pleased with his hunts, prey and warrior.

Coyotes. Silverspot had glimpsed one and had been lucky when it didn't glimpse her. She made sure to stay a good distance away from the border. Hopefully the Coyotes wouldn't bother her or her soon to be born kits. They were due any day now. They will be perfect she told herself as she slippeed into sleep.

First there were rogues in the camp, and now traitors wanted to slink back as if nothing had happened? Barring his fangs Kestrelstar emerged from the undergrowth to a sleeping Silverspot. "Get up and out of RiverClan territory, traitor. You're not welcome here anymore."

Silverspot jumped. "Kestrelstar? Can I asked you a favor for my unborn kits?" she spoke softly and stared at the ground. It would break her completely when they turned 6 moons, but it was for the best. @arden

Irritation prickled his fur. "No. You need to leave. You have connections with outsiders who knew right where our camp was, and that is not something that is tolerated. Get out, now." Stern yellow eyes locked onto the she-cat as he took a step forward, nodding towards the outskirts past RiverClan territory.

Kestrelstar watched as Silverspot fled, snarling after her. He'd have to tighten up patrols to prevent this from happen. Yellow eyes now turned to find... a ShadowClan warrior? "Why in the hell are you on RiverClan territory. Get out before you don't have the paws to do so." Letting his tail lash behind him he advanced onto the warrior.

But it appeared the ShadowClan warrior raced off the territory after Silverspot. Pathetic. Kestrelstar gave a snort before doing a sweep of the borders to make sure they had gone.
