Jaggedsky watched Graynight intently as he answered. She let out a quiet huff. Did she like it? "I do like it. It's just different from what i expected." What had she expected anyway? She didn't know. "But i think that this is how being a warrior is supposed to be, even if it's different."

Graysky nodded. "I agree," He meowed. "It is nice being, mostly, able to sleep in until I want." He chuckled. Then he went quiet again, thinking. "It's a shame theres been so many owls in our territory, its hard to go out at night without being horribly nervous."

"Oh! You like to go out at night?" She asked, suddenly intense. She shifted so that she was facing him. It wasn't supposed to come out quite like that but...she didn't really regret it. For some reason, she just had to know. Was she the only one who enjoyed the quite of the night, when the whole world was just as detached and hazy as she felt when she was alone, or alone among friends.

Would she be angry if he said no? Or relieved? She didn't want to be angry or disappointed but how could she hope for him to be something he wasn't...

The tom laughed and nodded, "Why else would my name end in night," He teased. "Other then the end of my tail being black, anyway." He admired the she-cat. "Do you like to be out at night too?" Frankly, he figured the answer was yes based on how quick she jumped to the question, but it was always nice to make sure.

the freezing air nips at squirrelrise's ears and nose as she exits the warrior's den, fur fluffing. she shivers, breath visible in the chill. there was a light sheet of snow coating the camp ground, and her pads quickly grow numb as she pads across the clearing, to the prey pile. she originally planned to quickly snag up a small breakfast and retreat to the warrior's den to eat it, but then, her eyes catch sight of a familiar pelt. well, kind of. they'd interacted a few times. anywho - silentpaw. the clans newest medicine cat apprentice.

the small warrior pauses, yellow hues flickering between the prey pile and the tom. should she eat first or congratulate him...? after nulling over it for a few heartbeats, she slowly steps away from the prey pile and approaches silentpaw. have we ever actually..talked?, she wonders. they'd been on a patrol once or twice before, but she's not sure if they've ever actually spoken more than a few words to each other or not. she supposes the same applies to sleepysunrise; she still needs to congratulate her as well.

"er, hi, s-ssi..silentpaw," she greets, mentally cursing the cold for worsening her stutter. "congrats..on becoming...the - the..medicine cat..apprentice." well, she's off to a good start. "how are..you enjoying it..sss..so far?" she asks curiously, then realizes that he probably hasn't experienced much at all since he was just promoted. augh.

"Mhmm," she nodded her head vigorously, whiskers bobbing. "It just feels--" she paused. How could she explain how sometimes she felt alone when she was surrounded by friends. How the night was like that. How it comforted her knowing that everyone sorta felt that way in the dark?

"--it feels right somehow," she concluded. She let her head fall back down to her paws, tilting it so she could watch Graynight.

Even with his new role in the Clan, Silentpaw was stubborn. Refusing the warmth of the medicine den, he sat outside in the middle of the clearing, paws tucked underneath his thick fur. As he sat, fur fluffed out against the cold, he decided to actually use his eyes and quickly scan the clearing. And there he saw, Squirrelrise padding up towards him. He didn't think they'd actually properly spoken before, so this was going to be... Absolutely fun. Just amazing. Splendid. Fantastic.

Silentpaw never thought there would be a worse stutterer than Firepaw. But here Squirrelrise was, stuttering away her whole life. A part of him wanted to believe it was because of the cold, but he'd heard her talk before. That's just how she normally was. But who was he to judge? He never judged when... When it was Firepaw.

Okay, time to shut up about Firepaw. She means nothing to you anymore.

Silentpaw ended up staring at Squirrelrise for a good amount of timebefore actually opening his mouth to say something.

"... Satisfactory." Me mumbled, turning his gaze away from the warrior and instead staring off into the distance. "Lot of work to be done."

Hoooo boy she was getting dizzier and dizzier by the days. Wow. If she could recall correctly, she felt kinda like this before she somehow wandered from ShadowClan camp and got lost. Oops. She couldn't go missing again, for stars' sake! She's gonna ruin Duskpaw again, and she doesn't want to do that. And plus, what if an owl gets her? She doesn't quite know how to fight that well yet... Ugh. Anyways.

Ignoring her throbbing head and buzzing mind, Hawkpaw pushes herself from her nest and ehads out to the clearing. And oh joy! Duskpaw just so happens to be there, with nobody around. Like she always was. This... Would be a good time to try and talk to her, right? Hopefully she wasn't... Too mad. She knew she'd already apologised, but Duskpaw hadn't quite liked the apology. Why not try and actually talk to her? Great idea, no?

"Heya, Duskpaw," Hawkpaw let out a friendly purr (For good measures!) before standing on slight shaky legs in front of her sister the fellow apprentice. "How're ya? Uhh... Doing better?"

a clawing sense of dread, and the need to get away from the one cat she hated the most, hawkpaw. and she couldnt even shake one. she needed to not hate the one cat that was close to her, and yet she couldnt forgive hawkpaw for what she did.

"fine." she grumbled under her breath. "whatever you need, make it quick." the i dont want to talk to you, dont you see that? was left unsaid.

Ah. So Duskpaw still hated her. Figured. What does one to say to a sibling that hates them? (She should probably take notes from Silentpaw LMAO) Try to make them feel alright? How does she even do that???

Hawkpaw shook her pelt out, ignoring how the pounding in her head kept getting worse by the second. Damn. Any normal cat would probably get that checked out at the Medicine Cats' Den, but Hawkpaw wasn't normal. She was Hawkpaw, dammit! She could handle anything! So, she didn't do anything. She stiffly shuffled her paws, fur fluffing out against the cold.

"Yeah. I just wanted to tell you sorry. I know it's not enough, but... You know... Take my word for it? I really am sorry. I didn't mean to just... Disappear and hurt you. You know me! I'm not the kind of cat to do that!" She drew in a shaky breath, half due to the nerves from trying to talk to Duskpaw, and half because of whatever was happening to her. "You don't have to stay mad at me forever. It's just a simple mistake. You can't really blame me for something I couldn't help. Just think about it." She lightly tapped the tabico she-cat's shoulder with her fluffy tail, giving her a nervous, sheepish smile, though she knew Duskpaw couldn't really see it.

"I wish you can forgive me, yeah? We're sisters! We're supposed to be forever together, remember?" How ironic. "It kinda hurts me, too, y'know, to know that I'd left you so helpless and lost, and I couldn't be here to help you. I'm really sorry. That'll never happen again. Trust me." Ah. Little did she know.
