There was a slow turn to Sassafrasseyes. A very, slow turn. She only yelled one word which was Wormbite was proud of. Still disrupting the meeting, unfortunately. Progress? "... Sassafrasseyes, thank you for not yelling, but still disrupting the meeting. " He was at the point all the warriors were being handled like kits, "but either sit next to me or return to your den. " She was getting two choices because Wormbite was attempting to gentle parenting you see. Would it work??? [ @DynaMight ]

Sassafraseyes let out a snarl and, being as stubborn as she was, paddled right up to Wormbite, then walked past him to loaf on the ground facing away from them with their head firmly pressed into the ground "i'm not moving an inch" look apon their rebelious face as they pretended to be snoozing... occationally making a snorting sound that sounded like a fart....


they were a stinker and they knew it... thats why her mother could never keep up with her as a kit...

then again... she smirked softly... her mother was the one that ended up climbing the den walls and parking themselves on the top of the den without a word...

she guessed she just had that affect on people "not a kitten, MOM, But i think i'll play dead till this headache of a meeting is over" she sassed as usual...

PebbleSplash wasn’t having it, not at all…! It was quite hypocritical how WormBite had once been yelling out, and now was yelling out again! She was very sure that if it was BeanSprout speaking, they’d probably get by it… favoring others was very common in these clans… Wormbite, who was disrespectful enough to defy their leader, was trying to tell her what to do. It was clear they had no respect for anyone but themselves and those with the same political views… ew, politics… those words made her want to gag…

But, what PebbleSplash knew was that she needed to respect herself. Without self respect, how would she ever get by? Giving her chest a lick, she shook her head… no… She was not leaving. The molly would have to be dragged out if they really wanted her to leave this meeting. A sway of her tail and an intense gaze said that she wasn’t moving wether he liked it or not… Though she could have said one of many things, she kept her mouth shut, quietly turning her gaze up to her leader and away from her clan…

This was getting freakin' stupid. It was one thing to argue a point, but many of these cats were broken records crying like newborns.

Tinystorm was too drained to care. His point was made, and Snowleap and Gingerfrost had listened-- it struck home. Regardless of how the others might feel, that was what mattered to him. Being an authority figure meant being responsible for the well-being of the Clan as a whole, not just fragments.

Too many cats didn't look at the big picture. It's no wonder the meeting dissolved into further chaos - they refused to listen to anything but themselves.

Even leaning down to scoop up Talonkit was rough and elicited a short grunt, but Tinystorm wanted to get the kid outta there. He seemed overwhelmed, and frankly Tinystorm needed to go back to resting too. Something about getting mauled a few times really took a number out on him.

With the kid in grasp, he departed to a den. Zzzzzzz

Snowstripe looked at the kit as Featherspirit comforted them "it will be ok go play with the others go on." She mews softly and snowstripe nods at feather the little ones didn't need to see the clan falling apart.

Blinking in confusion, Swirlsplash gazed at the warrior. you could have said it without the tears...it's not that deep. She thought, stifling a laugh. "I agree with you." she meowed quietly and pointlessly to the cat. Brighnight had stopped butting in. Thank the stars! If her pregnant daughter lost even one kit due to these dumb warriors stressing her out she might have to go rouge and kill a few cats.

Wondering how her daughter was doing she let her silvery grey gaze flash around her clanmates until they rested on a light brown pelt with dark brown stripes and sharp blue eyes. It was truely hard looking into her daughters eyes as they resembled her now dead father so much. "Brightnight?" she meowed as she padded silently to her kit's side. "Everything alright?"

Brightnight turned her worried, stressed, and fear filled gaze to her mother. "Me? Oh...not that much but We'll live." she muttered. Wrapping her tail softly over her injured and pregnant belly. "It's ok mother, really it is. Don't worry about me and worry about what were going to do with our Dark Forest bound clanmates." she growled

Blue was starting to get scared again. This was chaos. She looked around nervously for a friend. They spotted SwirlSplash and padded over. Of course she knew it was her ceremony but she wanted some calming words and thought it'd be nice to have SwirlSplash by her side.

Swirlsplash purred calmingly to the younger cat. "What's up darling?" she smiled.

There was one thing she hated about crowds. She didn't mind all the cats, all the chatter, or all the until they had.

It was the noise. Dozens of voices surging together to form a louder voice, shrieking their views to the high heavens about. She nearly whimpered; she hated loud noises. Hated, hated, hated.

She resisted the urge to cower, to hide, as she talked with Raccoonear, when Wormbite jumped in. She didn't mind (it wasn't like she was in the right place to), and if she yelled, she felt like she'd never be able to stop, until her throat tore itself apart to shreds, and then she'd be left with her own cries. Wormbite said, rather unoffensively, that she had more potential to Gingerfrost. She couldn't help it but, she felt just a little proud. She let herself enjoy his comment for a little bit, then stamped it out lest she get any ideas. Still, she allowed herself a rueful smile at Wormbite. "Yes," she said in a soft, slow voice. "That is a bit of a problem, isn't it? I can see where you're going with that, Wormbite. May we use this as a guide for leadership." She murmured that last bit to herself, though she wouldn't have minded if Wormbite or Raccoonear overheard. [ @x ghostie @rowan - Raccoonear mention ]

After she was sure neither of them had anything left to say, she dipped her head to excuse herself, and trudged back to her spot. Goosecurl intercepted her, and she was happy to see a friend. They laid a tail gently over her back, and she leaned her head on their shoulder, her expression unreadable. "I'm okay," she found herself saying, even as something rattled the cage of her mind, screaming at her for lying. Goosecurl then went to talk to a kit, ordering them to sit next to her. She didn't hear the name. [ @wren ]

Beansprout appeared, proclaiming that he should be Riverclan leader. Frankly, Lilycreek and her roleplayer were tired enough not to care. Maybe she would have opinions as soon as she was rested, but right now, as long as the kits would be okay, she didn't care. Beansprout turned to her, and her heart gave a weary tug, readying herself to receive his order. He asked her to take Briarkit back to the nursery, which she nodded to. Beansprout then turned on Goosecurl, and she gave a rare noise of protest. "Don't yell... please," she pleaded softly. "You've made your point, Beansprout. Now please, I ask of you to quiet. There are plenty who are tired of this, including me. Contrary to the voices in this clearing, I think we've yelled on long enough. It's the kits' nap time, and I will not tolerate any disturbances to rest. Excuse me, please." She said it politely, but in a stern voice, feeling ridiculous. Still, her expression made it clear she wasn't going to accept any interjections from him, or anyone else. [ @vellichor ]

She walked over to Briarkit, her face softening. She had yelled on, which hurt Lilycreek's ears, but she said nothing. "Little Briar," she said in a softly, concerned tone. "It's your nap time. You look tired." She lowered herself to the kit's height. "How about we take a nap, yeah? To rest your head?" Her heart gave a twinge. Briarkit was supposed to have her ceremony, soon. "I know you have your ceremony coming up, but you need rest. I promise you, you'll have it once you get better, m'kay?" [ @jupiter ]

A particularly loud voice carried over to her, and she paused at what the voice was saying. Pebblesplash. The queen had never imagined Pebblesplash to say something like that, since she'd always thought of the warrior as a polite presence. [ @~Fawn.Heart~ ]

"Pebblesplash," she said with a sad expression. How could anyone see this situation as a way to gain approval. "Please, I understand you're angry but don't reduce Beansprout to that. And you're right, you know. This has gone on long enough." She hung her head sadly.

With that, the queen placed a gentle, guiding tail on Briarkit's back, silently asking for permission to carry her. Once she had the answer, she would then carry Briarkit to the nursery, and gently lay her down to rest.

Stars, she was tired.

As the chaos unfolded around him, he recognized this was the most lively RiverClan had been in ages, and the irony of it being on the heels of a dog attack that'd left most of them half-conscious.

Everyone had something to say, some meaningless opinion to throw into the mix as if their individual voice could make a difference in the direction of the Clan. Tawnythorn wrote it off as wanting to hear themselves talk and feel like their impact mattered more than a noise frequency lost to time. Souls desperately trying to create a dent in the flow of events during the fleeting moments they existed among them so they could say their life had been worth something.

raccoonear awaited to make her move, not replying to what beansprout or wormbite had said to her. rather, she walked away and sat down in position for her next move, a calm and resolving one of her own. one that would free her roleplayer. she awaited, not taking to heart or mind a single thing that was said to or about her by the two cats she only wanted to sort things out with because it no longer mattered. she'd say goodbye to snowleap and stonepaw, her dearest friends, then it'd be time to go. she gave snowleap and encouraging smile. it was nice to be able to call him the name she called her when the two met and connected.

whether she'd been chased off by the fear of having beansprout, a cat who she doubted would be a good leader, or many even fear of being outcasted after being talked down publicly by multiple cats. maybe she was just tired, it was time to focus on her own life, not the life of others.
