Coonkit studied her as she told him how old she was. She sure didn't look six moons; she was smaller than him and he was no giant. However, seeing no reason for her to lie, Coonkit gave a nod. "Cool," He meowed. "When is your apprentice ceremony?" Even he, who had not been in the clan for to long, knew that most kits became apprentices when they reached six moons.

Bright sunshine shown through the nursery walls assign chill following. Leaf bare was getting close and this would be Windkit's first one. Being born in the warm weather with a big fluffy pelt was had and it was nice to have a cool breeze but it was new. Sitting in the mist of the nursery the fluffy brown tabby wiggled his little pink nose at all the new scents that blew in the cold air. His mom wouldn't let him out yet, though he wasn't completely sure why. Wonder what kind of food mama will let me try today. I got rabbit yesterday. The tom thought a purr threatening to rise. Feeling board the kitten looked around hoping to spot someone new, it was always fun meeting cats especially if you could play with them.it just hang out. He wasn't the best at finding ways to talk but he was always willing to try something new. He liked new things, they were fun! Sanding up he made he way over to the first cat he saw, another kit about his age. Do I say hi?

Mudkit had been lying alone in a sunny spot of the nursery, hoping to catch a few extra snoozes since her mother and sister woke her up so early again. She hated mornings. Okay, it wasn't really morning anymore, but technically she could still sleep whenever she pleased. As long as her mother was preoccupied, of course... What was the point of waking up so early? She was only a kit, after all, so shouldn't she be allowed to catch her precious z’s while she still could? She was to be apprenticed in the next moon, and Mudkit was totally not up for all that training and chores she’s been told about. So here she was, trying to sleep through all the noise of the crowded nursery. Keyword: trying. Before she could really drift off, she felt the sun turn to shade against her pelt, giving her an annoyingly uncomfortable temperature. Grumbling, she turned to see whatever was blocking her sunshine. “Fallowkit, I really don't want to play right now-” The muddy-colored kitten stopped mid-sentence when she found herself face-to-face with a stranger. Her sleepy blue eyes blinked a few times, mostly to clear away the haziness, but also because she wasn't sure if she was seeing things correctly. “Oh...hello. May I help you?” She examined the kit, trying to read their aura. Sometimes her “power” worked and other times it did not. She wasn't quite sure how to control it, but she at least finally understood what the colors meant - it showed her the cat’s mood. She only did not know exactly which colors meant which moods yet, nor could she control it. Mudkit was getting the hang of it, though. “If you’re wanting to play, I don't want to.” Her voice was flat with drowsiness, but her eyes managed to stay open and glitter softly at this unknown figure.

Windkit studied the muddy female as she turned to look at him. It appeared she'd been saying something but it could have just been a half yawn. Honestly he wasn't really sure he was unable to tell since she wasn't facing him. At her surprised look he blinked his pale green eyes and rested himself on his hunches. Just looking over the stranger it was obvious that she wasn't in the mood to play and would rather sleep. a chance to sharpen my communication skills. The tom thought a bit excited. Of course he never really cared how good he was at speaking- not very good was normal- but he likes being able to follow conversations. Everyone seem to have so much fun talking, making jokes or listening to stuff. It always made this puff ball of a tabby wonder what it was like being able to hear things. Was it fun? Or just darn right annoying. He didn't know and it made his thoughts wonder. Catching the molly's lips moving again he tried to read her words his eyes narrowing ever do slightly. He did this when concentrating. She doesn't talk as fast as some younger kits. Windkit was pleased at this realization,that would make it easier to follow along. He was pretty sure he'd caught the meaning of her words but was a bit iffy. "Uh.. N-o." The tom said struggling to make his words what he thought was clear, though it was a bit strained and slow. He didn't really get her last words as they were a bit slurred with drowsiness. Biting his tongue the tabby racked his brain on how to speak with her without really using words so he wouldn't offend her by not answering. "C-a-n e h-a-ng o-ut?' Trying his hardest Windkit slowly tried to ask the other kit if they could hang out, though he left the 'w' off in we. It was hard on him to talk but he was up for it. You can't be a warrior if you can't understand or relay massages to your Clanmates. That was one thing that never left him despite his lively attitude. He wanted to be a warrior but was worried him being mute could hold him back.

Mistkit blinked a bit of concern crossing her face,” I....don’t think I’m becoming an apprentice,” she whispered,” I never could be a functional warrior.” She admitted shame crossing her face.

"Do you want to be a medicine cat, then?" The young tom flicked his tail and tipped his head to the side slightly. "That'd be fascinating!"

Mistkit realized that Coonkit couldn’t understand why so she sighed a bit,” I know I couldn’t be a medicine cat either, I probably will be a kit until I am 15 moons old then I will become an elder.” She remarked sadly, due to being blind, she thought she could never be a warrior. She believed she would be a kit until she was ready to become an elder, she knew through her apprentice ages she would want to remain a kit rather than an elder, she assumed by the time she was warrior aged, she would be ready to become an elder. She paused,” maybe I’ll be a queen before I’m an elder. I guess around 20 moons old I become a queen and once I am 50 moons I become an elder.” She admitted sadly.

Being in the clearing wasn’t something Morningpaw usually enjoyed, but on this particular day, she was exhausted. So much had happened recently that it was hard for her to enjoy the small things in life - like going out for a hunt, or patrolling the borders with a couple of friends, and even racing had begun to lose its charm. It’d been hard to keep in touch with her friends recently, so Morningpaw had started hanging out here. She was tired - she’d already been hunting today, although it wasn’t as much fun on her own, and she’d even headed out to the ThunderClan/WindClan border for a quick walk, although again - it wasn’t much fun without her friends. With a sigh, the she-cat rolled over on her side, trying to amuse herself by drawing patterns in the sand with her tail. There was no reason for her to be bored - there was no shortage of things for her to do. But if something interesting could happen, that would have been greatly appreciated. It might’ve sounded strange, considering there had been so much tension there was no shortage of Clan gossip and drama, but Morningpaw was waiting for something else. Just some fun, a break from the everyday whispers around camp. She didn’t like listening to those. She found it boring, and a little petty, to talk about other cats behind their back. To listen to everyone’s opinion on what was going on. She wanted something fun, fast, and enjoyable... although not many cats were into having a good time these days. They were all stressed.

Coonkit listened t her, his ears prick attentively. His frown deepened as he realized what she was taking about. His voice grew serious as he responded. "I'm sorry," He reached over with his tail and toughed it sympathetically on her shoulder before whisking it away. "Are you still allowed to go onto the moor when you get older? I wouldn't mind going with you." His words were honest; he would always try to be of help to her, as he would any of his clanmates.

Coonkit sat in the shadows of the WindClan nursery, his tail flicking absentmindedly back and forth. His pale green eyes watched the Clan; it was something he often liked to do when he wasn't feeling up to his usual games, most of which included mossball with his littermate, Hollowkit, or hide-and-seek with the other kits in the nursery. As he scanned the clearing, he spotted a she-cat who looked to be about apprentice age. She didn't seem to be busy with anything, so Coonkit padded over, his small steps pattering lightly on the earth, smoothed put from the many paws that had crossed it. When he reached her, he dipped his head slightly in a respectful greeting to his older clanmate. "Hello," he meowed. "I'm Coonkit. Who're you?" Coonkit wasn't ashamed of not knowing who everyone was in the clan, he knew he had a lot to learn, including his clanmates' names.
