"H-hey!" Cinderkit protested, quickly forgetting the concerened flicker in Elderkit's eyes as he bolted his way out of the den. Her paws scrambled under her as she frantically followed her brother out to the clan's clearing.
@Kyrieknight (wanna continue this in the clearing? coalstrikes roleplayer gave the okay for them to come talk to him!)
Snapping his head up from where he was depositing his own catch from his outing with Sweetpaw, Tawnybird gave a nod to Berryburt as she bounded up to him. A badger? That would definitely be something to inform Eveningstar of once all the patrols had been reported in "Thank you, Berryburr. Feel free to grab something off the prey pile; I appreciate your dedication to the patrol today." Amber eyes flashed gratefully as he dipped his head to dismiss the molly.
Once Berryburr had completed her report, Tawnybird turned his attention next to Yarrowshade and - oh, it appeared that Oakfur wasn't with her. That was a shame, but would be kept in mind for next patrol assignments. "I'm sorry to hear that. I'll speak with Oakfur when I see him next. Did you manage to catch anything?" Head tilting to the side, Tawnybird noticed that she didn't seem to bring any prey with her...
After Yarrowshade next was Flintthroat, who to Tawnybird was a rather... interesting warrior. His mannerisms were unique and quite unlike any current warrior in ThunderClan. But he was loyal and did his job, so it wasn't like Tawnybird had any issues with him. "Good, I'm glad to hear it. I'll make a note of Owlwatcher not accompanying you, but I do appreciate you still going out to hunt for the Clan," he dipped his head in gratefulness, giving a flick of his tail to dismiss the tom. "Feel free to grab something off the pile for a job well done!"
Swiveling his head to catch Nightpaw walking up to him, Tawnybird felt pride swell in his chest. While apprentices weren't necessarily allowed out of camp alone, it did strike him as rather brave that Nightpaw had still decided to hunt for ThunderClan. "That's an excellent catch, Nightpaw. Next time though, let me know and I can have you come out with myself and Sweetpaw; with tensions as high as they are, I don't want any ThunderClan apprentices off wandering around on their own." There was no coldness in his voice, however, and Tawnybird flashed a grateful look.
Oh, and there was the warrior in question. Lifting his head, there was a slight look of disappointment. "You're excused, Nightpaw. I'll be sure to inform Eveningstar of your dedication to ThudnerClan today." Waiting for the apprentice to make her exit, Tawnybird let out a small sigh. "Flyheart, it is imperitive that our apprentices are not left to their own devices in regards to leaving camp. Who knows what fate could've befallen Nightpaw." There wasn't much words could do for the situation again, so Tawnybird gave a flick of his ear. "You're dismissed."
- - - - -
A few cats had yet to report in, and Tawnybird couldn't help but feel the flutters of anxiety rise up within his chest. This simply wouldn't do, what with ThunderClan already lacking the numbers they needed in case RiverClan decided to attack.
"Ravenstorm [ @Lavender'fur ]! If you can hear me, please join me over here for a moment." Tawnybird wasn't the best as lectures, or scolding, as he much preferred to offer praise and positive recognition. So... it would be interesting to see how this went. He'd start with the leader of the patrol, and if they didn't happen to be around, he'd ask the other assigned members.
“Thank you, tawnybird.” He said. “I was also wondering if we could hang out sometime?”
But it would be so much FUNNER being an apprentice, was the first thing that went through Sunkit's brain. I wouldn't be cooped up in Camp. And I would be bigger!
Sunkit spotted the mossball at her paws and immediately forgot about that train of thought. Smiling widely, she leapt onto the mossball as stealthily as a two-moon kit could manage, and then tossed it to Turtlekit again.
Lavender'fur (Sunkit) Spoopy Eclipse (Turtlekit)
Whitewolf accepted the mossball from Turtlekit and looked quizzically back at the two kits instead of returning their ball. She'd keep playing if they wanted to, but she was curious as to whether or not Turtlekit would want to hear an Elder's story. She wouldn't have to say much--just listen--and Whitewolf figured it'd be a good experience for Turtlekit to interact with an adult other than herself.
"Would the two of you like to speak with Aspenbranch?" she asked, knowing Aspenbranch had a couple of good stories. The Elder was one of the few cats in ThunderClan who knew Whitewolf when she was Turtlekit and Sunkit's age.

Sunfall laid out in the grass, her ears twitching every now and then. She had been running 'round and about for who knows how long. Why had she been running around? She didn't have a real reason, she just wanted to. And after the long laps, the tabby was tired. Her tail swayed gently in content.
Sunclaw stretched his paws as he walked through the clearing, heavy from his recent trip around the territory. His eyes were slits and he gazed out into the clear area, his rather confident smirk now becoming his simple neutral look. The golden tom noticed a she-cat lying on the grass and his ever so inquisitive nature meant he had to have a small conversation.
He padded over, and stopped right next to the she. ”Greetings.” He bowed his head. Up closer, they noticed her slightly tired look and their catbrows raised. “Exhausted, I presume?” He asked politely.

It had been a few days since her border patrol assignment and aside from that brief blip on her radar, it seemed as if life was going to continue the same pace it had been dragging along with recently - slow and unproductive. Stars, she just wanted something to do! Some evil, angry tyrant could come along barking orders and attempting a coup, and, frankly, she might just go along with it if it meant things got going around here!
With a low groan, Berryburr dragged herself to her paws and into a deep stretch before making her way over to the camp entrance, "Anybody want to go out hunting with me?" she called back to the clearing.

(It's alright! )
"Hmm-?" Sunfall loooked up at him with tired eyes. "Oh, yes. I had been running a couple of laps" She smiled, her ears twitching a bit. Her eyes travelled up and down the tom, trying to catch every single feature. Sunfall was known to be the observitive one.
Once again Whitewolf had gathered a few of her clanmates--the young and old alike--to listen to one of her stories. The Tiger's Whisker had been Rosestream's favorite Tale of the Stars, so she was looking forward to sharing it with ThunderClan. In time she hoped ThunderClan would pass these stories down to posterity, and generations later when the little ones were elders, they would tell them to the kits around then.
Even if they didn't embed themselves into ThunderClan tradition Whitewolf hoped she could earn a smile from the kits for telling this story. It was much happier than The Girl Who Fell through the World, although it too had its eerie moments.
"Not long ago there lived a kittypet in a sleepy twolegplace called Abigail Lane. Abby was named after her birthplace. She was very happy there, and just behind Abigail Lane lived a lost group called SkyClan." Whitewolf tilted her head as she examined the crowd of cats that had gathered for her story, gauging their thoughts before she continued. "SkyClan was a lot like ThunderClan, except they had Warriors that would sleep in twoleg nests at night. Abby was one of these Warriors but her mate, Cloudjumper, was a full Warrior of SkyClan. Now around this time SkyClan was having a serious problem with a nearby rogue group. But Abby couldn't help fight because her and Cloudjumper's kits were due any day then. One day, while Abby was at her twoleg nest because she'd become too tired for her morning trips to SkyClan, the rogue group attacked and killed many SkyClan Warriors. Cloudjumper, who had survived, was appointed to replace the Deputy who had passed away. Cloudjumper and his Leader, Thistlestar, concentrated very much time on the war efforts against the rogues. So much that Cloudjumper, being the new Deputy, didn't have time to visit Abby or their new kits."
The story was about to get sadder before picking back up again. Hoping she had everyone's attention, Whitewolf finally sat down and looked between the listening kits.
"SkyClan won the war but with serious repercussions. They had lost over half their Warriors and many of them were traumatized from the things they had seen and done fighting the rogues. What was more, many of the daylight Warriors like Abby had returned home and never came back. Cloudjumper was losing hope that Abby would ever return to him."

Sunkit glanced at the mossball, then up at Whitewolf. As the cat asked the question, Sunkit tipped her head to the side slightly, thinking. Sometimes elders are boring. But they tell really good stories! I think I'll go, just for a little bit. It has to be FUNNER than the nursery, right?
Wagging her tail again, the kit nodded eagerly. "Yes! Sure! I mean, let's go now!" she meowed quickly, stumbling for words.
