ThunderClan: Life Before 2023's Sinkhole

Dropping the mossball, Turtlekit dashed behind her adoptive mom, too scared to peek her head out as she heard all the other cats racing towards her. Since there was no way she was going to be able to reach her mossball now, she had no choice but to sit down and listen. She really wished it was just her and Whitewolf, but it was too late now, the story had already begun.

Before long, Turtlekit had found herself getting sucked into the world of the story, the rest of the noise fading as she listened intently to every word. She tried to resist reacting as the story turned from happy to sad, but she couldn't help it when little whines and squeals came out her mouth. Hoping no one heard, she covered her mouth with her paw. She wasn't going to let anyone see her, regardless if it meant skipping half the story to prevent it.

Cinderkit's wiry fur bristled with excitement as she fidgeted in her seat, waiting for Whitewolf's story to start.

Leaning in intently as the warrior began telling the tale of Skyclan, she wracked her brain in an attempt to recognize the name. Maybe she had heard it from an elder's story, or something? Either way, she wondered how true it was.

"Kittypets? In a clan?" The concept of daylight warriors was foreign to her, and so were kittypets at all, really; all she knew is that they were lazy cats being spoiled by twolegs. She scrunched her nose at the thought.. A warrior being mates with a kittypet was even more odd than that.

The battle soon took all of Cinderkit's attention as her ears pricked up. "Sounds like that clan isn't far away from falling apart." She quipped. Her lack of trust in kittypets began sounding like it was right as she heard how they abandoned their clan.

"Hmm-?" Sunfall loooked up at him with tired eyes. "Oh, yes. I had been running a couple of laps" She smiled, her ears twitching a bit. Her eyes travelled up and down the tom, trying to catch every single feature. Sunfall was known to be the observitive one.

They tilted their head slightly with Sunfall’s attempts to observe him. “Well it might be best to just simply introduce myself.”

The tom bowed his head slightly. “My name is Sunclaw. Yours?”

*this is ssssooooo boring,* coalkit thought. She laid down in the nursery,

Blizzardkit rustled around in his nest, bored out of his mind. He had to sit in the nursery like this for a few more moons before he’d be able to get out of the camp, and the thought of it made it seem like an eternity.

It wasn’t until the rumbling in his belly that made him get up and walk out of the den to find something to eat.

Having chose a magpie form the fresh kill pile, Blizzardkit started plucking the feathers off and setting them aside for nesting.

Stormfang padded up to the fresh-kill pile, setting a chaffinch and a vole on top. Surveying the heap, he selected a mouse and flopped down where he was. As he bit into his meal, he noticed another kit nearby. He considered moving to a more secluded spot where no annoying kits wouldn't bother him. This one looked to be pretty occupied with it's task, and he was already comfortable. Hopefully, he could go about his meal in peace. @Mono

Willowkit sat with an open mouth as Whitwolf’s story took a sad turn. At first she was excited for the story but now it was getting upsetting and she wasn’t sure how she felt listening to something like this. She preferred happy or wonder filled stories, not one that made her cry.

Her nose twitched in worry, waiting for Whitewold to continue, she hoped Abby and Cloudjumper to reunite.

Okay. It had to be done, as much as the apprentice had been procrastinating. They where so low on herbs - she had used quite a lot of cobwebs on Tallkit's wounds. Not to mention the fact that battle could break out any sunrise now ,,..

"Silverclaw [ @~Fierceclaw~]. Flintthroat [ @liz], Flowerpaw [ @WINGSOFFIRE] and Aspenstrike [ @-Skyfall-] ,,, could you please make your way over here for herb patrols."

Iciclepaw sincerely hoped every cat would show up,, but of course, she could change plans accordingly.

Silverclaw had padded out of the nursery to stretch and bask in the sunlight in the clearing when she heard her name being called. She looked around to see that Iciclepaw had called some cats, including her, to herb patrols. She padded over to the medicine cat apprentice and gave her a light smile.
