The plump queen lifted her head from her paws, looking up at the warrior with a soft purr. "I'm Cindershade," she mewed, her tone soft. "Care to sit with me?"

Featherpaw's eyes lit up at her suggestion. "A story?" The apprentice meowed, excitement in his tone. He sat down, his tail swishing back and forth pretty quickly. "Stars, I'd love to!" He kept fidgeting in one way or another-- tail swishing, ears twitching, paws moving... He never seemed to sit one-hundred percent still. He seemed really curious as to what the elder had to say, and looked up at her with a gleam in his gaze.

"In all honesty, I have no kits to take care of," she mewed with a bit of sadness. "I've tried convincing Whisperbranch to let me care for his daughter, but he won't take up the offer. And I don't have a mate or any kits of my own." She sighed a bit.
