RiverClan Patrols

Uncompleted patrols are subject to a grouchy Gingerfrost and punishment. ]

Another round of patrols. He was starting to get used to this. Hopefully these would proceed better than the last.

Borders:

[ Optional Prompt: Everything is well at the ThunderClan border and nothing happens. ]
"Sprucecrow [ @Erebus ]! Go with Scalefluff [ @The_CatLady ] and Rabbitpaw [
@Sp00k3z ] to Smallpines.”
Hopefully it would be an uneventful patrol this time. Between a fox and a lost kit Gingerfrost wasn't thrilled with what's been happening there.

Next up was ShadowClan;
"Fogcloud [ @perseus. ]; take Flintfang [ @Kat ] and Nightpaw [ @Beanzi ] with you to Saltmeadow Marsh."

[ Optional Prompt: You find a half eaten rabbit, where could it have come from? ]
“Aldermane [ @Abyssopelagic ], you're going with Snowfern [ @Quasar ] and Goldenpaw [ @~Half-A-Witch-Ace~ ] to Sedgewater Valley. Mark the border thoroughly, the last patrol was lacking.”
He wasn't kidding (well, he never did), 'lacking' was putting it lightly in fact. They didn't show up, at all. So the tabby took care of it himself but one cat can hardly match the thoroughness of a whole patrol. He was expecting that this batch would do better than the last.


Hunting:

"Slatestripe [ @Cherry~ ], you'll be hunting at Haven Springs with Whitesnake [ @WinterMara ]."

[ Optional Prompt: A bunch of strange, shiny things have washed up on shore. Any idea what they are? Is it edible? ]
"Reedwhisker [ @SpiritedWarrior ], take Sunspirit [ @~Umbreon~ ] with you to hunt at Lionsbeach."
Patrols there had been fairly well lately, less disappointing than the others at least. Hopefully this time would be no different.

[ Optional Prompt: You find some sort of sleeping nest. Do you destroy it? ]
"Raccoonear [ @lane. ], take Redhaze [ @Neso ] with you to hunt in our main hunting grounds."

[ Optional Prompt: Despite the Thicket's eeriness, there seems to be no trouble finding prey! Is it because it's been so calm here? ]
"Lilycreek [ @lonely.lilyx ], Motheye [ @candy hearts. ]; you two will be hunting in Sleepy Thicket -- the part where it's safe to hunt."
He still found it awkward hunting within the same area they buried their fallen warriors but.. Well, they could use all the hunting grounds they had in leafbare. As long as they were mindful, it should be alright for now.


Silently Gingerfrost watched for each warrior and apprentice he'd summoned, awaiting their union and departure before he left himself. The last batch of patrols hadn't been great, he hoped these members would better move things along this time. It'd only cause trouble if hunting patrols kept bringing back little and borders remained poorly marked.

• Everyone If someone hasn't replied within 72h (3 days) you are encouraged to skip them. Try bumping them beforehand, however.
  
• Hunting patrols are required to make a post in the clearing of them putting their prey on the preypile, before the patrol is reported.
  
• Border patrols are to make two posts at their assigned border each, one of which should be them marking the border. Failure to do so will result in a poorly marked border.
  
• Patrol leaders (or reporters) please specify if all members were present and participated. Only showing up once does not count.
  
• Apprentices if none of the warriors on your patrol show up after four days have passed, please make a post explaining so to Gingerfrost.

Nightpaw's ears perked as she pads into the area from hearing her name called, border patrol? That seems nice. She looks around for Fogcloud and FlintFang

Aldermane's ears perked as he heard his name being called by the deputy, and padded foward to hear what the ginger tom had to say. His ears flicked upon hearing about the ineptitude of the last patrol sent to Sedgewater Valley.
Knowing his destination, he kept an eye out for his patrolmates, but not standing to go find them until Gingerfrost had finished assigning patrols.
With a deep exhale through his nose, he finally stood and trotted up to the nearest cat he recognized as being paired with his patrol, opting to wait for the others with them

The tom stepped forward as his name was called. He was to lead a border patrol with another warrior, and an apprentice, neither of which he knew. He was grateful that it was merely a border patrol, the warrior was weary, not for any specific reason, the cold had a way of draining the life out of you. Really he wanted to climb back into warrior's den and sleep the day away, but he wouldn't do that. He was a warrior with a job to do, still one could always dream.

He waved his tail in the air like a flag, drawing attention to himself so that the others could find him. Hopefully everyone arrived swiftly and they could get this done with. He bent down and a quick stretch before his golden eyes resumed their hunt.

Fogcloud looked up at the call of their name and they nod, they took note of Nightpaw, flicking their tail to show that the apprentice should come over, though their eyes still looked around for Flintfang.

Rabbitpaw saw the tail and wandered over to Sprucecrow. He didn't know many cats that much. But his first patrol!
But without his mentor was strange. But he ignored that part. "Your Sprucecrow, right?" He asked.

She poked her head out of the nursery as Gingerfrost began to call out patrols. Border, border, hunting, hunting... oh, hunting? In... Sleepy Thicket? The burial site?

She frowned a little, despite knowing assuming they were hunting in the safer portion, but stars that place gave her the heebie-jeebies. Imagine that.

She looked around for her patrol mate. Motheye. She'd never met them, but never roughly what they looked like. Hm. Maybe that one?

She walked up to her patrol mate. "Hi. Motheye, right?" She smiled. "Let's get this done."

Flintfang's darker tipped paws carried him in the direction of the apprentice and shield as Gingerfrost named him for a border patrol. "Hello." Was all the usually excitable and foolhardy tom said, voice a low murmur. Tail tip flicking in an indication that he was prepared to leave, Flintfang mentally thanked the stars and Gingerfrost that he'd not been the one assigned as patrol leader.

Slatestripe padded over to where Gingerfrost was assembling patrols upon hearing his name. So he was going to Haven Springs with Whitesnake? That was one of RiverClan’s newer warriors, and one Slatestripe wasn’t incredibly familiar with. Hopefully she’d be nice.

He sat down and waited for his patrolmate.
