He shifted his weight uneasily as more cats began to enter the clearing. He was never comfortable with many cats.

I know, I just meant I hadn't really talked to you. Pit tried to explain, a bit taken aback by the cats seeming hostility. He hadn't said anything nasty, had he? I'm sorry if I offended you. He mewed, attempting to take a more formal and courteous approach. It couldn't hurt, could it? I just wanted to meet you, since you looked very interesting. It was true, the tom had drawn his attention in both the way he sat off to the side and the way his eyes roved across the clearing. Did he expect to be attacked or was he watching for something? Pit didn't know. @MooingPanda

Merlot's head rose from it's previous low-hanging position, black slits slim against her pupils as she used them to bore into Nala's face, now seemingly devoid of any sort of tiredness. They were blazing now. "I don't think you understood me kitten, I'm not looking to stay. But, I'm curious, where exactly do you think you're forcing me?" He was NOT a pet. He had quite a mind to show this cat how un-pet he was, maybe with the claws that kittypets had trimmed, or with the teeth that were dulled by lives eating tiny, hard rocks. As the new cat raised her head to face off against Nala a fight seemed ever more likely, and Pit unsheathed his claws before slipping off behind a den. After a moment of small, catsized 'alleyways' and a bit of slipping in snow, he was almost behind the nutter. Another moment and he was, just in case. Hopefully being pinned from both sides would convince her to cooperate. Hopefully.

Balor turned his amber eyes toward Pit. Now he thinks I'm interesting, Balor thought, rolling his eyes. Aloud, he meowed, "well, it's nice to meet you, too, I guess." He sighed. "Did Nala lure you in here, too?" He thought that he would give it two days before he left. If he didn't see anything exciting about it, he would leave, although he wasn't sure if he would go back to the den.

The tortie watched a cat walk over to her and she beamed at the other she-cat as she introduced herself. Tiny. "I'm Quetzal! Nice to meet you." She mewed, wondering what to say next. "Umm, how are you?" Hopefully that was enough to keep the conversation going.

Oh, this cat did seem much nicer now! Pit had missed(or ignored) the eye roll, and was content to act as if they were good friends now. The next question made his fur puff a bit, but he kept it largely flat. Of course not! We're mates! She isn't luring anyone in, besides, if you want you can leave! he mewed, his tail flicking. Was this cat really that negative? Didn't he realize he could do whatever he wanted? Of course they wanted him to stay, but he didn't have to!

The cat she had approached seemed slightly nervous as well, which did not bode well for a continuation of discussion. Still, Tiny didn't give up right away. I'm doing well. I mean, its a little strange with so many cats all of a sudden, but I'm getting used to it. How about you? It was a very, very basic overview of what she was feeling, but she wasn't going to tell a fairly new cat everything. After all, who knew if this cat would even hang around for long? They might leave.

"Oh." Balor shrugged, faintly embarrassed by his comment, but he didn't let the tom know. "So, what are you guys doing here?" he asked, trying to get some information about the new place. @MooingPanda

Marigold let out a soft purr. ¨Usually they have other animals do the dirty work themselves. I´m honestly surprised they got off their lazy butts and did something for once.¨
