Littlekit smiled brightly at his brother. He was so brave and smart! He nodded along diligently at what Tinykit said, agreeing. Together! They would stay together. Thankfully the warriors seemed to get the message. Maybe they were nice after all, and not scary! They couldn't be all that bad if they were letting him stay with Tinykit. Littlekit relaxed and let his puffy fur fall flat as he looked up at Buckstar, waiting for what would happen next. Was there really a fire or no?

Frostbreeze glared at Lionwhisker,” it’s yellow, mousebrain.” she muttered apparently Lionpaw didn’t get what a simple herb was, sheesh. What was wrong with that excuse for an apprentice.

The abyssinian huffed to himself when he heard Frostbreeze's retort, although he managed to refrain from rolling his eyes this time. The golden feline looked on blankly as Dogkit came prancing out of the Medicine Den with, lo and behold, marigold in her maw. What? How? Last he he checked, kittens weren't taught herbology from the Nursery, or was that a new thing going on? Expression bent on confusion, he apprentice shook his head quicky. Dashing into the den, Lionpaw quickly picked out the marigold, clamped sone of it tenderly between his jaws, then turned tail and rushed back to Frostbreeze where he deposited the flowers in front of her.

"So now what?" he questioned. "You're gonna make us chew it?" The apprentice tapped his tail onto the ground. "It's not like anyone's actually gonna get burned today. Actually, if we're having a fire drill, as in, practicing evacuating camp 'cuz there's a fire in it, then I don't think you're gonna have a fresh supply of marigold around. 'Cuz, y'know, camp would be on fire, and the Medicine Den's right in the middle of it?"

He glanced at Dogkit for a second before attempting to catch Frostbreeze's gaze once more. "You do know where marigold grows in the territory in case of an emergency, don't you? 'Cuz if not, then we're still gonna bs stuck on burn treatment, anyway."

Thrushheart left his friend to go find his partner. He glanced back and Nightshade one last time before continuing to look for the apprentice. Once he found him he gave them a friendly smile. "I guess I'm your partner.", he meowed. he sounded excited about that. He was, since he loved meeting new cats.

Before Valleypaw had enough time to reply to Forestpaw, she was off to find her partner for this event. With another sigh, Valleypaw turned to search for her own in time to watch him pad over. She gave him a quick once over her gaze not lingering long before returning to Buckstar. If she remembered correctly, this warrior was one of those... squishy-excited types. And while she'd have no problem with that, this would likely be even more of a boring event than anticipated. "Hey," She meowed simply.

Meadowpaw came out of the apprentices den at the sound of the leader's announcement. "Buckstar? " she mewed. "Did you say train with fire?" Meadowpaw padded over to the crowd with a puzzled look on her face. "If so, I would love to try and help out." She sat down and looked at the kits jumping up and down.

She creeped out of the warriors den and yawned "Fire Drills, Meadowpaw." she said as she saw the puzzled look on her face. She turned to Buckstar "I'll try to help out."

Meadowpaw looked at where the voice came from. "Ok, thank you," she yawned. Meadowpaw stretched ready to go. "Alright I'm ready to go." She looked at Buckstar not knowing what to do next.

blueface crept out of the warriors den. "fire drills?" he mewed questioningly. interesting,he thought, glancing at Buckstar, wonder how it's done.

Meadowpaw padded over to Blueface. "I'm not sure what to do next," she mewed. She paused then said her thought out loud. "If you want a partner I would be glad to become your partner," Meadowpaw said awkwardly. Why was she acting weird to Blueface? He was a warrior and she was an apprentice, an apprentice supposed to become a warrior today or tomorrow.

Meadowpaw couldn't wait to be a warrior. Being a warrior meant that she didn't have to do anymore apprentice duties and that she didn't have to be treated like a worthless kit anymore from the older warriors. Even though most of the cats in the Clan liked her.

Blueface looked t Meadowpaw. why was she being so weird? he changed the subject.
"alright, what do we do now? I'd love to help out, but I don't know what to do so..." he looked around the clearing. was there anyone that could explain?
