Featherpaw sat down in the middle of clearing, she silently wondered when her mentor was gonna start teaching her the ways of a medicine cat, sighing, the she-cat got up, padding off under a tree, lying down underneath it. (OPEN)

Mudbriar sat with Flashblaze, gossiping. “He smells like fish and not just fish, but rotten fish!” Flashblaze curled her lip when talking about Puffpelt.
“He does spend a lot of time fishing.” Mudbriar agreed. “No wonder he reeks of it.”
“He’s so hairy, dumb and ugly.” Flashblaze continued. “He should be a kittypet, not a clan cat. He’s too soft to be one of us.”
“Hey! I have long fur too!” Mudbriar protested.
“That’s different. You’re actually an asset to SpiritClan. You’re a good warrior and friend.” Flashblaze explained.
“Thanks.” Mudbriar mewed.

Puffpelt stood just out of earshot of Flashblaze & Mudbriar, although he did hear his name once. Are they talking about me? Oh my gosh, they are talking about me! I’m loved! Flashblaze loves me! I knew she did! He strutted awkwardly across to them. “Hey baby!” He purred, rubbing his large body against her lean, athletic body. He licked her face.

“Get away from me! You’re so ugly and I would never be with you!” Flashblaze snarled as she moved away from him. She lashed out at him with her hind legs, knocking him over.

Puffpelt wailed with pain and sadness. He knew every cat loved him, but why wouldn’t they show feelings of affection towards him. He rolled from one side of camp to the other, just for fun.

Riverpaw was a bit taken aback by this question. "Uhm, I don't think that would make things better, only worse. I'd say give her time, but I'm only an apprentice so I don't know." He said.
