"Hey, I didn't say you were one of the spotlight-hogging ones," Paige countered, glaring at him with hazel-brown eyes. "Not like that Evelyn character. Yeesh."

"What she's trying to say is we're struggling to be as good as you over at Alphamax," Skye interjected.

He starred at Paige as if he was trying to figure out his next move only sigh.Although he gave a sharp laugh "I'd like to see her get beat " and let her drown humiliation. Although he blinked out of confusion at Skye I don't work at Alpha max... Don't you mean you two? But he just gave a nod.

"So... have any other people that you interact with there, besides the other Meta Runners? I've heard that it's like solitary confinement eighty percent of the time," Skye piped up. "They've been kicking out a lot of you guys lately. D-do you know why? Or is that confidential?"

He looked at his plate only to grumble. It pretty much was...no one was his friend . He didn't even BOTHER with the blue haired freak. Belle was ok.... She had her moments but that's everyone. "Um... It's kinda like that . As long as Lucks is happy everyone is happy. But yeah its pretty lonely there. " then he clenched his fists. "I don't know really...But I have a hunch. Stupid good for nothing Freak. " he whispered the last part as a means of catching himself. Was he supposed to talk about Tari in the open? Or was he not.. "Anywho I don't know really"

"But it's weird, right? Definitely seems like there's some beef," Skye said, logical brain already trying to formulate a theory. "Not- that I want to get into rumors, or anything like that."

"You know, we'd always dreamed of being Meta Runners for Tascorp," Paige said softly, gaze straying elsewhere. "We never got the chance to apply for it, though. We were only able to get into Alphamax because they were actually looking for people to work for them."

Skye absentmindedly put a hand on her own shoulder, tracing the inflamed, pink skin that served as a reminder of what happened at the Alphamax tryouts. Neither one of them wanted to bring that subject up. If he asked, they would tell, but if he didn't, they'd remain silent-- as they'd always done.

Hed rather not talk about that so he returned his attention to the others. He raised his brow though he was gonna speak but the two seemed to have some sort of problem. He just remained quiet for a while "well uh... Tascorp is pretty picky .. But at least you guys found someone hiring " he finally said in a quiet tone. Exhaling which turned into a looong sigh he stood up "I should get going...I'll help you guys clean up -" he offered . The Awkwardness of the situation grew heavier and he didn't like it one bit.

"Oh, don't bother; I always do that," Skye said quickly. "You're our guest. It'd be rude to make you wash dishes. Besides... gives me something to do while this one plows away at Undertale." She put a hand on Paige's shoulder and smiled warmly.

He snorted at that. He wasn't going anywhere without atleast helping. He didn't help the first time so.. He didn't know about his fellow meta runners. But he was raised right. "Let me help you or I'm not going anywhere " he crossed his arms . " besides aren't roommates supposed to help each other out?.. " he jabbed. Nope he wasn't afraid of saying it. He could get his butt beat but he didn't have shame .

"Oh, so now I'm the bad guy for letting Skye do what she wants?" Paige remarked, folding her arms. "She begs me to let her clean and stuff. I let her, because I thought she loved it."

"I-it's okay, Paige... he can help us. I don't mind." Skye blushed furiously, and looked at the floor. She felt awful about taking all the chores for herself now-- it made her look like her friend's slave or something.

"Next time," Paige whispered tensely in Skye's ear, "Tell me if you need help."

Dante just gave a very loud huff "Anywho- just tell me what to do . And I didn't know that you had a ..well...ocd type thing and liked to do it so. Eh. " he gave a shrug .
" but uh good luck on your levels... "
