Kiara nodded a little. "Right.." She looked back over the Pridelands, but paused, looking closer when something below caught her eye.
The gleam of amber eyes, a small but loud enough laugh to reach Kiara and Simba's ears. The voice was so familiar, too. A streak of gold, leaping from rock to rock over a small stream with a long golden tail and red tail tip streaming behind it, heading right toward Pride Rock from the direction of the desert.

Kiara frowned, squinting to see closer, confused. Kion had gone in the other direction, toward the Outlands, and the laugh she heard definitely didnt belong to her brother. Kiara blinked, suddenly stiffening. "Daddy," She whispered to Simba, watching the figure draw closer.

"I know. I'll handle it." He jumped off the rock and walked towards the figure.

"No. No, Daddy," Kiara gasped, rushing after her father. She quickly reached his side, ears pricked eagerly ahead.
The figure, a lioness cub exactly Kion's age, seemed to pause, seeing them come toward her. Then she smirked, and continued forward, leaping off of the last rock and back onto the soft grass. She shook out her fur and padded forward slowly, tail twitching behind her.

"I know exactly who this is." He said walking closer.

Kiara nodded, heart pounding.
The cub stopped dead in front of them. She looked up at Simba, then at Kiara, then back at Simba again, the smirk on her face widening into a full-out grin. After a few seconds, she spoke. "...'Sup."

"Its been a long time." Simba smiled. "What brings you back to the Pridelands Kila?"

Kion saw the vultures before he saw the cub, far off in the sky, and narrowed his eyes faintly. "And that's never a good sign." He mumbled under his breath, bounding forward. "Just cant catch a bre--" He cut himself off when he saw the cub. "Oh, shoot." He breathed, almost stopping in his tracks, but he didnt stop until he reached the cub's side, looking up at the vultures for a moment before bending down to nudge the cub. "Hey, wake up," He breathed, pressing his nose to the cub's chest. The heartbeat was faint, but it was there.

Koja purred. "Good. I figured you'd enjoy the Pridelands," He chuckled.

The cub let out a quiet groan, her ear flicking slightly. "Mama...?" She whispered, her voice scratchy from lack of use as she attempted to open her eyes.

Kila chuckled slightly. "Guess I missed my idiotic siblings and overprotective parents."
"Idiotic?" Kiara echoed.
"Just kidding you, Ki-Ki," Kila licked her lips, amusement shining in her amber eyes. "Kion's the only idiotic one. Speaking of," She tipped her head. "Where is the little daredevil?"

"First of all, Kion went somewhere that way." He pointed in a direction. "Second of all, I'm not overprotective."

The cub's ears flattened, and she curled up instinctively.
