Darklight led out a low, annoyed sound. Dammit. No battle meant no easy way to get revenge on his starsdammed mate. Rising to his paws, the warrior felt a wave of fury pulse through him, and he didn't even bother trying to hide it. If anyone thought that this meant he wouldn't be lining the border with the blood of his former mate, then they'd be kidding themselves. Darklight would win. He always won. The tom shot a cold glare up at the leader, and his mask was broken. Okay. He'd have to cook up another plan. Ignoring anyone and everyone, the shadowed soldier strode out of camp, already scheming up a storm.

Gingerfrost talked. Gingerfrost disagreed. Gingerfrost stood up for himself. That was new. Stonepaw was used to seeing the deputy as a quite lump of grump off to the side. As someone who moved in the shadows- but actually talking and speaking up? That almost felt like a completely different cat. The deputy had been changing a lot recently, becoming more bold, and almost... fatherly. Not to him of course, but he had seen Gingerfrost when he was around Mumblepaw. Like a little family, they were and maybe that was why he was speaking up. It was no longer out of necessity, but now because he truly had someone to protect.

At least, that was just what Stonepaw thought. Meh.

And then there was Sedgestorm, someone who Stonepaw knew, not well, but more than he knew some of his other clanmates. Sedgestorm understood what was wrong, just like how Otterslash had, and, just like Otterslash, he was willing to say something. Too young, physically and mentally. "Yes." He nodded to the warriors question just as Beansprout began to speak, and his heart plummeted. Oh. Well, that didn't go as hoped. It seemed as if his entire point had been missed, and for once, Stonepaw didn't feel like talking. He'd bring it up later, in private. It didn't serve anyone to have an argument in the middle of the clearing. He liked talking and chattering, but this? This was draining and at this point all he was, was exhausted.

Exhausted and sad and trying not to scream, because the sun and moon knew how badly he wanted to yell right now. Not just at Beansprout, but at everyone else who was keeping quiet, at the stars and the river and the ocean.He hadn't been heard, and all that meant was he was failing Fawnlight again. Fawnlight. FawnCat. His friend who had listened and spoke up and taught him so much. He was trying to keep her from being forgotten, but when everything she stood for was being torn down, all he could was sit there helplessly, watching.

He barely registered Sedgestorm walking past, but he was able to nod. "Thank you." All he had done recently was lose, and stars, he was sick of it.

The black apprentice listened carefully, nodding her head softly. She had so desperately wished she had become an apprentice sooner. Her leg made training difficult l, not to mention the pain if she happened to fail. Her eyes scanned the grpund and she hopped forward, taking a shaky breath. "i... I agree beansprout. And if it... Offers help... I can help train them? If the... Energy of the ypunger kits becomes to much to handle?" she said softly, flicking an ear back.

Beanstar

The siamese radiated confidence as he leaped onto the Streamstone for his first meeting as a "full leader". Though he still had a lot of work to do, Beanstar was confident that he could do it and swore to himself to try his best. He had made the foolish mistake of taking matters into his own paws too aggressively before; Beanstar needed the full support of his Clan if it was to thrive under him. Deciding he needed to speak to Stonepaw and Gingerfrost regarding Clan matters later, the feline determined that he had stood here atop the STreamstone for long enough and let out a loud yowl.

"All RiverClan cats, gather for a Clan meeting!"
