Jaggedsky shivered. The wind whipped through her fur throwing it in all directions. It cut right through her. And she didn't have mud on her. She could hear the mouse wandering away.

"We should head back to the camp," she offered. Hunting could wait. Making sure Sparkbreeze was comfortable was important to her.

[You wanna head to the warriors den?]

We should, sorry about that. I need to be more careful when I'm hunting. Do you want to go hunting tomorrow? Sparkbreeze looks at Jaggedsky hopefully. @Reflex

"No problem. We can go tomorrow if you want." She smiled and started padding back toward the camp. Some company would be nice. Just not where she expected.

As the tom pushed through the opening and steped into the territory, his mind was busy. His back tingled where Jaggedsky had brushed his back with her tail. After a moment of standing there waiting, tail swishing against the ground, he heard her come up behind him and he pushed the thoughts away, trying to clear his mind and ready for their midnight hunt.

Jaggedsky padded lightly beside Graynight, taking a deep breath of the cool, crisp, night air. It filled her lungs with an icy energy, which ran through her veins into her legs. Her ears perked up as she instinctively began to listen for prey.

His tail flicked to acknowledge her arrival, and his head tilted forward. It was quieter at night, and since he wanted to catch at least one piece of prey, he figured he should be silent until they had caught something.... just to be sure. His ears swiveled around as he began to pad quietly through the forest, listening for prey. He thought he could hear a mouse rustling in the roots under a tree but just as quickly as he heard it, it went away.

Jaggedsky could feel the vibrations of prey moving though the woodland. She could even more acutely feel the padding of the warrior next to her. To her left, she heard a mouse scratching the dirt. Graynight noticed it too.

It quieted down, but she could still feel its pressure on the forest floor.

After a moment, Graynight heard the rustling again and his instinctively dropped down into a crouch. He glanced over at Jaggedsky, trying to see what she was planning to do. However, deciding that the warrior was closer to the mouse, he nodded his head at her for her to go ahead and give it a try first, perhaps if she missed it would run right into his paws.

Out of the corner of her eye, the she-cat noticed Graynight's nodding. Oh! Her turn! She sniffed the wind. Good. It was blowing toward her.

She crept, slightly to the left, up to the mouse, falling into an easy hunting crouch. She let her tail brush the ground, ever so slightly, as she padded forward. The mouse diligently continued its ignorant scratching. She gathered her legs beneath her and leapt at it silently.

Her paws effectively pinned it to the ground and her jaw closed quickly around its neck.

His tail curled up in delight as she killed the mouse, letting out a nearly silent purr of congratulations. Graynight peered around, wondering if that had scared off any prey, but much to his delight, his nose caught a whiff of another mouse, from the same hole Jaggedskys had came from. Without thinking about it, his muscles bunched underneath him and then he pounced, landing squarely on top of the mouse, killing it swiftly. His eyes shone as he held the mouse up and smiled over at Jaggedsky.
