His tail curled up in delight as she killed the mouse, letting out a nearly silent purr of congratulations. Graynight peered around, wondering if that had scared off any prey, but much to his delight, his nose caught a whiff of another mouse, from the same hole Jaggedskys had came from. Without thinking about it, his muscles bunched underneath him and then he pounced, landing squarely on top of the mouse, killing it swiftly. His eyes shone as he held the mouse up and smiled over at Jaggedsky.

"Nice," Jaggedsky purred happily around the mouse in her mouth. She set it down gently on the ground between her paws. Her eyes trained themselves back on Graynight's eyes, the only part of him she could see in the dark.

Graynight padded forward to set the mouse down next to Jaggedsky, purring back. "You did really well, your form is beautiful, better then mine even, which I didn't think was possible," He teased, reaching his tail over to flick her shoulder playfully. His eyes were trained on her, now that he was closer he could actually see her better, which he was grateful for.

Graynight padded forward to set the mouse down next to Jaggedsky, purring back. His eyes were trained on her, now that he was closer he could actually see her better, which he was grateful for.

Jaggedsky smiled at the compliment, causing her nose to scrunch up. That's how she always smiled. At least, when she was being genuine.

She took another step closer to him. Now she could see the twinkle in his brown eyes. Her tail swished across the dirt appreciatively.

Graynight admired her smile, finding it rather cute the way Jaggedsky's nose crinkled when she was smiling. His mouth opened slightly, the air filling with her scent as she stepped closer to him and his heart began to pound in his chest. "You smell nice," He blurted out before he could stop himself. He wanted to curl up in shame after realizing he said that, but rather he stood his ground, trying to give an air of confidence, like he had meant to say that.

Graynight admired her smile, finding it rather cute the way Jaggedsky's nose crinkled when she was smiling. His mouth opened slightly, the air filling with her scent as she stepped closer to him and his heart began to pound in his chest. "You smell nice," He blurted out before he could stop himself. He wanted to curl up in shame after realizing he said that, but rather he stood his ground, trying to give an air of confidence, like he had meant to say that.

Jaggedsky gasped slightly at is comment. But quietly, her childhood had taught her to always react quietly. Until you're sure that you wanted to react that way.

She could feel the heat pulsating from Graynight. It was almost like she could feel his heartbeat coming from his paws though the ground to the pads of her feet. A slight irregularity broke the rhythm. She could feel his confidence waver for a minute before it grew steady again.

Suddenly, she remembered his words. "I know," she meowed. The response popped out of her naturally, from moons of perfecting her usual playful cocky attitude. Although, she realized, she'd been a bit too tired to use it much today.

And faintly under her lovely scent was the ever familiar warm pine scent of Shadowclan, a scent he loved very much.

His tail swished through the air and he took a sstep towards her, eyes twinkling in the light. "Do you want to keep hunting?" He asked softly, his head tipping slightly to the side as he awaited her response.

He debated offering to head bzck to camp... but frankly he didn't want to. He was quite enjoying being out at night with her. He longed to step even closer but he didn't want to overstep his boundaries so instead his tail swept across the forest floor once before he moved it to touch Jaggedskys flank gently, almost as a question to if he could move closer.

Jaggedsky's smile grew slightly brighter when he didn't mention heading back. Although, come to think of it, her racing mind hadn't really decided what to do after she adamantly said no, which even surprised her a little bit. (Not too much. Her self-awareness is pretty high.)

She felt something brush her flank. Soft. Warm. Light. The tip of Graynight's tail. Her ears turned toward it. It almost tickled. She suppressed a sensitive flinch. Her gaze rose up to Graynight again.

At her blink, he let out a soft purr, moving to press his flank against hers. Immediately he felt warmer, and he was suddenly aware that the air had been frigid the entire time. Graynight stayed pressed against her as his tail flicked down her spine gently, his eyes trained on her face to ensure he could read her reactions. Her scent was all he could smell now and he couldn't have been happier, anorher deep purr rumbling out of his throat.
