Brackenpaw looked up. Dawnstar saying her name sent a jolt of fear, panic and a little suppressed flash of
pride. Okay, so she had Stormshadow for a mentor... he was cool. At least she thought so.

Hmm... Bearpaw, was it? It wasnt something she expected, but the she-cat did have to admit it had a nice ring to it. Bears were strong, just like Dawnstar, so she found that she quite liked it. As she was assigned to a warrior, the newly made apprentice stepped back and began to gaze around the clearing in search of her new mentor. Batfrost wasnt a name she could match a face to, so she decided to wait for the warrior to approach her instead, the somber look on her face never leaving.

Batfrost groaned. First he has to deal with an annoying kit, and now he's giving a brat to train. Getting up, he walked over to the apprentice and introduced himself. "Hello Bearpaw, I'm Batfrost", he said, trying not to sound to annoyed. He had no idea how good this apprentice would be at learning the necessary skills, so he might as well give him a chance to prove himself. "So, what do you want to learn first?"

Nightfur purred. "Right. I don't want my first Apprentice to get into trouble." He looked back up at his Leader, waiting for the next announcement or for her to end it.

The tom spotted the apprentice and padded over to her. Hey, I'm your new mentor. he said.

He shrugged, Yes and no. You're not my first, but you are my first assignment that already has training. I also have Antpaw. he said.

Ashenpaw sighed as the meeting dragged on, his head propped up on a paw. His half-hearted call was deafened under the cheers of his clanmates as cats were promoted to warriors and apprentices. Why should he care about this? It wasnt his ceremony.
