Mara shouted in surprise, holding one hand out to defend herself, and braced herself with the other.

He drew his disc and attacked Pavel.

"Incredible!" She jumped up and threw her arms around him, then glanced down at the unconscious commander on the floor. "I'm so proud of you." It only lasted a second, but she gave him a peck on the cheek. As a response, all of Zed's lightlines turned purple. "Hey, are you alright, Amber?" Mara asked the other girl, unhanding the violet-glowing program standing awkwardly next to her.

Amber slowly nodded. She looked at Skye. "Is she going to be okay?" Amber pointed to Skye. She hoped she wasn't too hurt.

Chris opened his eyes. He was still in pain, so he didn't move. His shoulder hurt quite a lot.

He saw Skye on the floor. "Skye! " He sat up, but couldn't. His shoulder made him unable to. Please be okay...

"I hope so," Mara said, putting a hand on the fallen she-program's shoulder to help her sit up. Skye was relatively uninjured, just exhausted "We should be watching for more soldiers. They'll want their commander back." She moved to Jaran and tried to help him regain his footing.

Zed was still unable to form coherent speech.

(maybe have Chris say that this proves that Pavel's guilty of something? Since he's already seen what Paige was trying to do?)

Jaran felt himself being pulled up. Everything seemed.. blurry. His hearing was weird, everything sounded hazy. He got to his feet and rubbed his eyes, but they remained blurry. "Uhm. I think I messed up something?" He tried to look for who had helped him, but all he saw was a hazy figure next to him. Everything he heard seemed garbled. What was the thing that disabled him? Maybe he needed to lie down or something. It was probably nothing, he was fine.

Next day rived and Vernal was already up to go. She stayed up most of the night anyways thinking about stuff. She was a night owl in a sense.
