Sunpaw padded out of the apprentices den. the light ginger tom took a moment to survey the area. It seemed as though nothing important was happening. well, that was probably for the better. He didn't like much important things to happen, unless they evolved around him. Sunpaw felt like the only thing he found important, was flirting with and/or teasing other apprentices. He didn't really find anything else that interesting. After a little while, Sunpaw moved to a different side of the clearing. Sitting down, he began to wash himself.

Dawnpaw padded away from where she had been talking with her sister, Heavensong. She looked around the clearing for someone to talk to. She saw her brother talking to Petalpaw, with a content smile on both of their faces. I wonder what that's about, she thought to herself.

She then kept looking, and spotted Bouncepaw's best friend, Sunpaw. Instantly, she started padding towards him with excitement. She loved talking to him.

"Hi Sunpaw!" She meowed, sitting next to him.

Petalsky lay in the clearing sunbathing, enjoying the warm feeling of the sun heating her fur. Her rather large belly only made her slightly uncomfortable; over the moons, she had learned the best ways to lay while she carried her kits. With the thought of her little ones, she leaned over to give her stomach a few loving strokes. "Soon, my loves. I'll get to meet you all very soon." A small purr rose from her throat as she imagined getting to finally see the little kittens she had been carrying for the past moons. The dark gray tabby knew they would be coming very soon, causing a flash of excitement- and a small pang of worry- to come over her.

The molly took her gaze off of her white belly to rake over the clearing, looking expectantly for her mate. Whitenose would make for an excellent father; she was sure of this. Starting a family with him had been something she had been wanting, and to see her hopes coming true... it was such a wonderful feeling. She thought for a moment of all the features of his she would want to see in her kits... though, really, there was no way her little ones could disappoint her at all. She would love them no matter what they looked like, or how they acted. She already did love them so unbelievably much; Petalsky wouldn't have believed beforehand that one cat could love another as much as she did for her kits now, especially when she hadn't even met them yet. A small, content sigh escaped her lips as she looked once again for her mate, her ears perked and yellow eyes expecting.

Sunpaw looked up, his gaze falling on Dawnpaw. Oh great! he rolled his eyes. Dawnpaw was nice, the opposite of his personality. She was okay. Sunpaw didn't mind him. He wished that she was more like him. Maybe then they would get along better. "Hello," he bit back flirting with her. It was just Sunpaw's nature to be a jerk and flirt. He really wanted to call her beautiful or wink. But something stopped him from doing that. He didn't know why. Probably just him being purely stupid.

Dawnpaw didn't respond for a moment. She was hurt at his reaction. Though, she knew he was a grumpy tom.

For a second she thought:What does Bouncepaw see in him? What do I see in him? As much as she wanted to explore that thought, she pushed it away.

She wondered why he didn't flirt with her. He did that with every she-cat. Does he not like me?

Trying to stay positive, she asked, "What did you do today?"

As the tom returned the smile, Petalpaw couldn't help it and lightly buried herself in his fur, unlike him, her fur was short, so she sometimes did this for warmth, her tail wrapped around her paws tightly as she gazed up at the tom, chuckling. "You know she doesn't have to know... I can just leave before you do and catch a few preys before taking them to a spot, wherever you want me to." She purred, chuckling once more. "After all, I may be a kittypet, but I know how to hide my scent and all that, my mentor is amazing!" She purred, the tip of her tail lightly tapping Bouncepaw's paws. "No one would know except you and me~" The pretty calico added, her smile growing.

When Petalpaw buried herself in his fur, he let out a purr of happiness and excitement. No she-cat besides his sisters had done that before. And if he wanted any she cat to do that, it was Petalpaw.

"Okay, you can help me. If Dawnpaw finds out, I won't tell her it was you, don't worry." He said.

He gazed at the sun, it would be setting soon. An idea popped into his head.

Hesitantly, he added, "How about after every one is asleep we sneak out and do some hunting. Just you and me."

He waited for a reply, anxiety crackling off him like sparks, afraid of rejection.

Sunpaw noticed her obvious hurt. Instead of answering her question, he made a remark. "I'm not in a great mood, I'm sorry If I hurt your feelings." he said, wincing at his horrible apology. He never apologized. Ever. Maybe he wanted him to flirt with her. He flicked his tail tip down her flank, pretending he didn't realize he did it. He kept up with his innocent face as though he truly was sorry. In some ways he was. If he was to rude, she would leave. He didn't want that.

With relief, he replied "Yeah, it is. But so is Dawnpaw's. Luckily, my sister could sleep through an attack in a thunderstorm." He himself laughed about his sister. What he said was true though.

Excitement stared building in his chest. He rarely snuck out. But doing this with Petalpaw seemed right.

"As soon as we're sure that Dawnpaw is fully asleep, we can leave. Does that sound good?" He asked.

For the first time, he glanced over to his sister. She was talking with his best friend, Sunpaw. I wonder what that's about…

"And it's definitively better that way." The calico said, laughing along with him. Petalpaw gazed up into his eyes, her differently colored one aimed straight at him before she got up and stretched her paws out and gave the tom a flirtatious look before winking. She sure wouldn't deny sneaking out with him, after all, both were already close, and she didn't care what it was for honestly, any excuse would be good for her, maybe if they weren't gonna go hunting, as long as she was with him, she was fine. "Sure thing, as soon as we hear her snore, we're good." She mewed and pressed her nose against his for a second. "So, what'cha wanna do for now?" She asked softly.

Dawnpaw wasn't sure what to say. At first, his apology had been question able. Then he flirted with her. She wasn't sure what that meant since he had been angry, then flirted, then he looked sorry. Truly sorry. What would she say? She looked off to the side, pointedly away from him.

Finally she replied, "I forgive you", she said.She said nothing more, and just waited for his response.
