Eelkit caught the mossball before dropping it, looking up at Rowanmane.
"OO! Yes! Badger ride!!" the kit squealed, bouncing up and down.
"Snowkit, you wanna go too???" She asked with glee.

Sleek and short-haired dilute calico she-kit with cream and pale grey streaks and patches running through her pelt. She is a small cat, with larger ears and a long, feathery tail, and tufts that puff up around her ears and face. Her eyes are narrow and pale green.

The morning light drifted on through the nursery entrance, falling directly into the path of the little calico’s eyes as she slept. Stiffly, she awakened. There, with a groan, she forced her eyes open, and slumped up onto all fours. Golly. I hate the sun- stupid lump of fire’s trying to tear me out from sleep every time dreams get good. Dummy. With a grunt of displeasure, she dragged herself out and away from her mossy nest, feeling the weight of the day already pressing down. Her stomach grumbled in protest, a low, insistent reminder of how empty it was, and Houndkit suddenly found herself idolizing the image of the fresh-kill pile. Hunger clawed at her, sharp and unforgiving, but the mere thought of having to get up and make something to eat only frustrated her further. What a way to begin the day- and know what, if things go the way they usually do, I bet the food pile’s gonna lack eeeeverything that I like, and I’ll be stuck eating some nasty ol’ fish all over again. Yeah, that’s how it wordy goes. Man, wish I could go back to sleep. She inhaled, quickly and angrily. That way there would be more to my morning than stupid starvation and blaring sunlight, But she managed to find the determination to get up and moving, ready to put something into her growling stomach for the first time in forever- forever being, simply, overnight. She broke free from the warmth of the nursery, tense with her hair standing on her neck as she stepped foot into the chill of winter, into the frost. She then glared at the sun above as if it had conspired to ruin their sleep. The idea of merely searching the fresh-kill pile for something pleasant to eat—of even getting over there—seemed like an insurmountable task. As of late, Houndkit was growing more and more tired, and there seemed to be nothing she could do about it other than complain and scowl. Yet, as the hunger pangs became louder, there was no escaping the inevitable: she would just have to force her feet to get moving, dragging herself nearer towards the pile, or risk a day spent with a growling stomach and a bad mood.

Riverkit watches her siblings, Mudkit, stemkit, and wavekit, play together. She didn't like how her brothers and sister played rough. riverkit was happily behind the protection of her mother's, rabbitfur's, tail way from riverkit's siblings. riverkit didn't know why she wasn't aloud out in the clearing. the older kits in the nursery go out there all the time.


Wavekit jumps on top of his brother mudkit pinning him to the ground.

"gotcha!" Wavekit mews.

"oof!" Mudkit huffs

"mreow." Stemkit laughs watching her two brothers.

Since the last meeting, Whisp realized how much she missed Streamkit’s friendship. She hadn’t meant to neglect him! She hoped he didn’t think she’d forgotten him. And to ensure that Streamkit knew she still thought of him, she brought a piece of prey with her to the nursery. A small river fish, nothing special. But she wanted him to know she was thinking about him. Whisperingpaw set the fish down before poking her head into the nursery. “Stream? A-Are you there?” She called, though her voice was still soft. She hoped he heard her. Calling him -kit felt weird since they were basically the same age, but hopefully soon he’d be joining her as a denmate again!

She figured he may want to share the fish with his friends, so she hoped that it was enough for that. Whisp eyed the fish, now wishing she’d grabbed something else. If it’s too small he might think I don’t care about him! It was a silly thought, she knew that. But she couldn’t help fretting anyway.

Okay. So. This kitty was staring at the…who knows what with bewildered, wide eyes. So much was out there! The world was such a big place! Of course, FernKit had to sneak out to discover so…and in result go missing. But she was okay! And amazing! And she learned sooooo much, which she believed was a good thing! Of course Ma and Pa were worried sick probably…woops.

She let out a soft chuckle, and mewed “ I can’t , l’m too big silly, however you and Rowanmane, can team up and race?” , she gets get racing position, hoping she didn’t disappoint the fellow kit.

"I just wanted everyone to be happy..."

Streamkit's ears perked up at the sound of his name- and her voice. He padded towards the entrance of the nursery, his eyes lighting up as he saw Whisperingpaw, standing with a fish. He sped his pace up until he reached her, his voice full of excitement with a slight purr.

"Whisperingpaw! Did you bring that fish for us to share?"

Whisperingpaw purred in greeting as Stream approached her, reaching to touch her nose to his. "I-If you want to..." She murmured, ducking her head bashfully. I-I thought you might want to share it with your friends." She added quietly, even for her. The thought that he would want to share with her hadn't crossed her mind before, but it made her happy that he thought of her. Of course, she did consider them friends. It wasn't that she didn't. She just assumed that since she was an apprentice now, Stream had made other friends in her absence that he wanted to spend time with more.

She sat down across from Streamkit, wrapping her tail neatly around her paws to try and keep it out of the way. "I-I'd love to share with you. If that's what you want." She mewed softly with a gentle smile and a soft purr.

Streamkit looks at Whisperingpaw, confused at her question. It seemed obvious to him that he would share the prey she brought with her- but perhaps it wasn't as obvious as he'd originally thought. He smiles.

"of course I want to share it with you! You brought it, didn't you?"
