"Welcome to the wonderfully world of the forest! Best place on earth, and much better than that catfish infested water bugs that that calls themselves RiverClan!" Acornpatch smiled, emerging from the entrance of the camp and looking beside him at Aspenpaw. This was his shot, and he would treat Aspenpaw like his own son.
With a flick of his tail, he turned and headed up the slope, stopping at the ridge to wait on his apprentice. "You'll learn the wonders of ThunderClan!" He turned his head. "So, what do you want to do first?"
Yarrowshade had no idea why she was babysitting this apprentice. She guessed it was just practical, she did her warrior duties, after all. Little did she know how much she longed to be the center of attention. She wanted someone to talk at, to witness her magnificence. And this mildly willing victim would do. "Um, I'd assume you've been taught how to hunt, at least that's what your words implied. So, by all means, do so." she said calmly.
Larkfrost nodded slowly, considering Leafecho's nice choice of words. "Well I'm glad your feeling more included." She purred, happy that she was able to help the she-cat in some way. "Working against everything you've ever been built up to believe and feel and behave like..." she whispered to herself, then looked up at Leafecho. "It must be hard, getting used to something, then having to try a whole new thing. I don't think I ever had to do that." She frowned, furrowing her brow in attempt to remember if she had to do that at some point. Remembering nothing of the sort, she purred. "Doing that makes you stronger than most of the warriors here! But don't tell them I said that." She mewed, getting quieter at the end.
Leafecho smiled warmly. "Oh that's very kind of you to say so!" Leafecho looked around, checking for other cats nearby as she scooted slightly closet to Larkfrost. "I hope this isn't taken the wrong way but, you've been in Thunderclan your whole life, right? Has it always been like this? I quite like Aspenstar, I think I can relate a little bit to her feeling not quite at ease in her position but really trying. But it seems so many cats here openly disapprove." She looked down at her paws quizzically and shook her head slowly. "I've never had a leader before now but I couldn't imagine even talking to a tom in such a way as some of even the young cats have talked to Aspenstar." She shrugged and looked back at Larkfrost. "I guess I'm still trying to get used to the dynamic of a clan, but I also think it's nice that everybody feels safe enough to do so."

Larkfrost was a little confused at the she-cats words. "When you say, 'so many cats here openly disapprove', do you mean of Aspenstar being in her position?" Larkfrost hasn't been into too much gossip, nor cared to listen in on it, but if cats were having second thoughts on her leader, she needed to know why. She had appreciated Leafecho sharing her thoughts with her, and she liked the fact that she thought it was safe enough to do so. She was glad she could befriend this kind, young warrior. It's not like she would rat out any cats to Aspenstar, that would be cruel. And, she would gain nothing from it. Looking around, she wondered what everyone else was thinking about. Looking back at Leafecho she mewed "Oh, and I didn't take that the wrong way. I'm glad you're willing to share these kinds of things with me." She purred.
Leafecho faltered. "Oh, I just meant, at the...the clan meeting? There seemed to be a lot of cats questioning a lot of her decisions." Leafecho shrugged. "I'm sure it's nothing that won't resolve itself it. I just find it...intriguing." She looked away bashfully, slightly regretting bringing it up at all. All she was doing was continuously pointing out how different she was. She shook her head. "I'm sorry, I must sound like such an outsider." She looked up at Larkfrost. "But thank you. You're being such a friend. You make it easy to talk."
Flowerkit's soft paws traced the ground as she padded across the
camp towards the prey pile. She had tried to mark small paths out in the ground for
her to follow to certain places like the nursery but with the amount of cats constantly
trotting around they got destroyed far to easily. She didn't quite understand yet how
this "eyesight" that others calmed to have worked but it didn't bother her much.
Larkstorm could see Flowerkit walking to the prey pile, and could also see all the warriors and apprentices walking around. She was nervous for the little out, who she remembered having been born blind, which couldn’t have been easy.
She walked over to Flowerkit and stopped her by putting a gentle paw on her back to stop her. “Careful, a couple of cats are coming that way,” She meowed.

Flowerkit's ears and whiskers moved sightly as a new scent
came towards her, she couldn't quite make out who it was but the voice
made her think it was Larkstorm. "Don't worry, I've noticed them" she
mewed calmly, she didn't understand why others thought just because they
had something she hadn't it meant she couldn't take care of herself.

Aaa, Goldeneyes was very stubborn. "I do know why the rule is there! I do, I do. It just doesn't apply to me because..." Cloverkit's voice trailed off, shrugging their shoulders weakly. Man, they really liked to not finish their sentences! In their defense, you should just know what they were thinking. Yep. This was their justification.
They blinked at the second part of Goldeneyes' statement. "Oh." A simple realization. This was truly an conflict of interest. Cloverkit wanted to make others happy -- this was that attempt, after all. Just if someone else got in trouble for their cause? It defeated the whole.. whole point! Aaa, this was hard! "I'm.. sorry, " They mumbled, slumping their shoulders. "I,, don't want you to get in trouble.. that would really, really not be good!! Sorry, sorryyy, " Well. Now Cloverkit was morally obliged to go, flowers or no flowers. It was settled.
Their eyes widened. What? Hold back their ceremony? Listen, did Cloverkit want to be ordered around by a big cat? No. Of course not. Don't be a mouse-brain. Did it offer the chance to learn COOL STUFF and get FREEDOM? Yes. They shook their head in a fast motion. "HOWEVER!" They gasped, "Pleasee don't let her hold back my ceremonyyy!! I don't.. aaurgh, I won't escape again!! Please, please. Anything else. Please. I'll -- I'll just die of boredom in there.."
They followed along the warrior, watching Goldeneyes with great curiosity in the way she moved and carried the flowers. A silent envy of how she could,, wrap her tail around the flowers. They glanced at their lack of a tail, lashing it back and forth for a moment. Cloverkit looked back to Goldeneyes, uh. They squinted their eyes until registering what she had said. An excited gasp escaped them and they rushed to Goldeneyes' side. "YES! Yes! Please, oh please!!!" They mewed, jumping up and down. They could.. see the forest and.. oh! This was SUCH a cool big cat!!! EEEE!!! (HAPPY!)

Larkstorm let out a silent sigh of relief. “Oh, good then.” She was surprised to be honest. She didn’t know Flowerkit could hear that well. She had always assumed that blind cats needed more help when they were young because they weren’t used to the camp and how it worked, but Larkstorm guessed that assumption had been wrong. Or was that just Flowerkit? “Well, do you need anything? I would be happy to help.”
