The kit flicked their ear a little at the oddness they sensed in the the cat's response, but didn't know enough to know how to parse it.

"I'm Silverkit, 'cause my fur's silver," she piped back, before voicing the question that immediately flew to her mind.
"Huh... why're you named after a juniper?"
Names were so weird- did a Juniper have claws? What did their mom's name mean, now that they were thinking of names?:

Silverkit. Right, because their names changed as they grew up. She'd be Silverkit, and then whatever her adult name would be. Right. Or was there a name inbetween?



"My mom liked the berries." Juniperclaw meowed, absently. The memory of his mother stung, briefly. He tried to brush over it. "They're little and blue." He glanced up at the clearing, where cats were starting to mill around. The healing cat and the two others who had been called up had disappeared. "Meeting's over, I think. Better head back to the nursery before your mom realizes you're gone."

her answer was pretty reasonable, even if cornpaw thought it was a bit boring. he almost rolled his eyes. "mmm." cornpaw hummed, almost looking like he was in thought before changing the topic and snatching up the mouse, dangling it around by the tail. he looked at the mouse, then icicleripple, then to the mouse, and back to icicleripple.

"it was a good prank, right?? and by good, i mean cool! I filled the mouse with rocks and you fell for it!!! so, it's obviously one of the best!" he snickered, swinging the mouse back and forth.

Poking his head up from where he'd been working to flatten a rather stubborn piece of fur, Tawnybird's eyes went round with curiosity before focusing in. Looks like Dogbark was settling into his new role nicely. Getting to his paws, the senior warrior gave a nod to the tom before glancing around the clearing for Dreamfeather, having not seen his Clanmate in quite some time. Hopefully they would show face? "Dreamfeather?" he called out for good measure, tail twitching as amber eyes surveyed the clearing for them.

Pepperkit was in a good mood for once, and she skipped out of the nursery and into the clearing happily.

"Okay," she mewed, quietly, as she did her best to nod in respect to Juniperclaw and pad back into the nursery on silent little paws, to think about everything she'd heard and learned.

 

(Sorry for the wait- have been running off of no sleep today, so i got more distracted than usual. Especially when it came to something really important that I missed due to being distracted away from roleplaying and my phone.
This is a good point to leave off for now, anyways, even if i felt up to much right now. But I'd like to do another roleplay tomorrow or later, like you suggested, if that's alright.)

Mistyshade sighed. Alright, going hunting with her apprentice didn't sound too bad. Her sleepy eyes scanned the clearing for Foxpaw. "Foxpaw. I hope you're ready, because we'll get going now," the warrior meowed, sleepiness pushing through every one of her words.

Sparkkit looked around at the cats of thunderclan. His flame colored fur shone brightly as he bounded up to pepperkit hello I’m sparkkit but you can just call me sparky! he mewed

Dreamfeather was in the middle of a perfectly good nap.

In fact, he was having a wonderful time. He’d eaten a mouse before settling down, so his belly was nice and full-as to sleep easier. The sun was soft on his dark gray pelt, the late summer heat that always came in a big rush, as if to pour in every ounce of warmth before the crisp autumn temperatures. Not that he didn’t enjoy autumn. He just..

Loved summer.

But now, nasty timing, ugh, he had to.. (stars forbid) get up from his nap.. and (URGHH) go on a hunting patrol. Near-his ears perked up-Sunkissed Creek. Or at Sunkissed Creek. Whatever. Hopefully, if the name didn’t deceive, it was sunny. He’d request to be separated from Tawnybird, rest for a little, then find a nest of mice.

Ugh. He really was getting old, wasn’t he?

”Hello, Tawnybird,” Dream grunted, shaking the sleep out of his pelt. ”And how are you on this very fine day? Shall we be on our way?”

Amberflight beamed, excitement genuinely radiating off her almost as strong as her own scent. At her mother's question she smiled even brighter, "I knew Aspen was a great warrior, but leader! Psh, I won't pretend I'm not shocked! But she'll do great," Amberflight responded, giggling at her mother's mention of her disappearing, "Oh come on mum, she's got leader-stuff to do now! We can embarrass her with our congratulations another time, I'm sure!" The russet she-cat was pretty much the image of her mother - although Amberflight did not reflect her mother's strict personality whatsoever. Carefree and somewhat reckless, Amberflight was definitely not the best when it came to listening to her mother's demands for her to be safer and not do "silly things", like climb ridiculously high trees or play near cliff ledges. Still, she loved her mother and despite her strict rules growing up, Amberflight admired how hard she'd worked to raise her and her siblings safely and properly. She turned her amber gaze towards the familiar molly, perplexed by her question, "Of course, mum, you should know you don't need to even ask! I'm always happy to listen." As rebellious as she could be sometimes, Amberflight was a dutiful daughter when her mother needed her to be.
