"VoyageClan!" she yowled. "It is time to stop for the night. All Queens, kits and elders stay in the centre. Then apprentices, then warriors on the outside!"

The young apprentice bristled with fury and aggitation. "Of course! I didn't want to be a medic for nothing!" He spat, challenging his mentor. "You think just because my mother left the clan doesn't mean she didn't teach me about herbs! She was a great cat, yes she did terrible things, but I sawher talking to a StarClan cat after she died, and she went with the cat to their hunting grounds! Now my father might be in the Place of No Stars, but my mother realized her mistake and now where is she?" His eyes smoldered with pale blue fire. "Being respected in Starclan!

Brokenshadow looked along the Clan cats as they followed Fennelspring's instruction. He crouched, watching as Apprentices and fellow Warriors came to stick out while the 'more important' cats got to sit in the middle. He lashed his tail but felt no need to be immature. He'd been a Warrior for awhile now. He'd better act like he was one and stop being the same angry Apprentice he used to be. But the anger was always there; something he felt no control over.



His ears pricked at Skyfrost's pleas that her kits were coming and lowered his hazy gaze. What a shame; to have kits at a time like this. Then he looked at Redstar, who looked like she would give birth soon, too, which made him twitch his whiskers.

She was about to sit down when the apprentice lashed at her. Oh wow. Okay. she thought, sitting down. He was challenging her, and she had to teach him a lesson. Don't sass back to your elders. I understand you aren't incompetent, but you simply could've said "Yes, I do know what Burdock looks like." okay? she said. Hopefully that put him in his place.

The apprentice just hissed and stormed off towards a bush, emerging with three mice and dropping two at Midnightstripe's feet, before padding off to a small shady spot to eat.
