Sootpelt quietly lay down and grumbled to herself.
Toadkit listened, pretending to be interested even thought it was boring because she didn't care. Who was leader didn't matter, nor did who was deputy. Yet. She meowed Wingkit, what do you think. Not that she cared what he thoight but wouldn't those weaklings ask silly questions like that? They seemed to like asking stupid questions.
Beekit was still sniffing everything, especially the grass and feeling the grass. @birdie

[The rock is hardly large enough for her to fit all four paws - approx. 1 cubic yard]
Badgerkit watched her friend, but didn't say a word. Ripplekit was annoying her with always making a fool of herself, and changing everyone's names. She wouldn't speak her mind out loud, but she also wouldn't back up the smaller she-cat in her game.
While he waited for an answer from Shocky, Wingkit noticed that a crowd was soon forming around them. Two bigger cats, both saying that no fighting was going to happen. "Aw, come on!" he whined, ears flattening as he scowled up at both the two warriors. Why'd the big cats always have to ruin the fun?? Neither warrior seemed to be coming to his defense now that he recognized it, and instead they were looking to the apprentice. Wingkit let his gaze fall on the older cat with a 'hmph'.
Then from behind him a warrior called out to Risingpaw to invite him to sit with her. That would free up Shocks! But something told Wingkit that he wouldn't get to see anymore of her sparking fur. In between the three warriors and the apprentice, Wingkit was beginning to get over this whole thing. "Forget it. I'll go somewhere where fun is allowed," he spat with an indignant flick of his tail as he turned and trotted away.
His aunt had begun the meeting, but her words met tuned out ears as Wingkit glanced around at where to go. Aha! Spotting an open seat, the tom scrambled over (not caring about the sandy dirt he kicked up along the way) towards Pristinekit. "Hiya Pristy!" With that he sat down next to the she-kit with a big grin. She was the one who always kept her fur neat and clean right? "That cat over there," he said with a paw jabbed towards Shocks, "can shock people! Like with lightning and thunder and stuffs!" It seemed awfully cool to Wingkit, who was watching the situation from afar.
Oh a new deputy? Wingkit turned back to look up at his Aunt Larkstar, then found the cat who stood up to accept the position. Birdnow? Interesting. "One day, I'm gonna be the one up there choosing my deputy," he vowed to Pristinekit, not tearing his gaze from there. "It's in my blood after all."

When Toadkit didn't hear an answer from Wingkit she guessed that Wingkit hadn't heard her since he had wandered off. Well whatever. She didn't really care. After all she could always find someone else to interact with. Someone who wasn't Beekit. She wasn't sure if Wingkit had even noticed Beekit. Not that she cared whether he had or not.

Adderkit unsheathed her claws and dug them into the ground while her body shook and tensed up from her holding in her rage. Her fury. How could someone dare to try to kill another cat that was a part of their own clan? Was nothing sacred in this world? How could one grow up in the same clan and sleep in the same den with one and decide that life wasn't worth it, the one you knew for so long? And the leader no less. How could one think themselves more important, more deserving than another like that. How could one willing to kill and become traitor become a leader and do anything good for the clan? All it would do is lead the clan to ruin in a chain of jealousy and self righteousness till everyone was dead and Riverclan was no more.
Adderkit heard that a new deputy was announced and released her tension. No need to worry about what had no become. What was important was living right now and in the moment. So she listened to what the newly appointed deputy had to say. "Congratulations Birdsnow!" Adderkit belted out so she could be heard. "I see you doing wonders for our clan!" Adderkit was not one to lie. She was hopeful that all would go well, though she hoped star wasn't attached too soon.

When a familiar kitten scampered over to her side, showering sand all over the world ! (okay, that was a lie, it was only a little bit of sand being scattered, but Pristinekit's blue eyes still widened with horror on Wingkit's behalf anyway), the young molly found the corners of her mouth tipping upward into a shy, happy smile. Wingkit! She knew him -- he was her denmate, for once, but he was a... fun-ner? funner? ..fun... one?, and he'd given her an odd nickname. No one else called her 'Pristy'. . . it sounded.. strange, but that was okay, right?
Oh, wait, Wingkit was talking to her again. Sapphire-blue hues switched back to watching the big yellow warrior cat and the apprentice her denmate had pointed out. "Lightning and thunder?" The pale she-kit repeated in a hushed, awe-filled voice, her eyes round with wonder. Sure, she'd seen that big scary warrior do something with their paw, but had Wingkit really seen... lightning and thunder?
Those sparkling eyes turned on Wingkit when he expressed becoming leader one day, and being up on the Floodstone where Larkstar was currently doing announcements. And oh! A deputy! Mama was always prattling about.. deputies and stuff, or something. "Really? You're going to be leader?" Pristinekit asked, the gullibility in her nature causing her to take up the concept instantly, a wide grin of delight gracing her pretty features. "But then you'll have to be all grown up, see. You can't be Wingkit and be leader too, yknow? That's what Mama always says, that one day I'm going to be a Pristinepaw an' I need to be the mature-est just like she says and then I'm going to be a... a... well, Mama never says what my name is gonna be after that, but she does say. . ."
The little she-kit's tail thumped against the ground as she sat, slightly lost in thought, words breaking off as she completely forgot what she'd been saying. Her line of thought had shattered, and now Pristinekit was slightly lost. "Mama says a lot of stuff. I get it mixed up sometimes, see." Was all she managed in the end. Her gaze flitted back over to Wingkit, and then Pristinekit found her eyes widening with slight mortification. "Oh no, Wingkit." Well, there was one thing Mama always said -- keep your pelt neat and tidy! Her voice had lowered to a whisper as she scooted closer to the tom, dark-blue hues flitting around the clearing with worry for her friend that someone had noticed this total disaster. "Wingkit, your fur is messy." She whisper-gasped frantically. "What if somebody sees?"
