At hearing the acceptance of his invitation to speak, Tawnybird slipped fully inside the den and offered a courteous dip of his head. The last time he'd been in here, he'd found the den empty with Eveningstar nowhere to be found. Past leaders who had made this their home... had never seemed to click with the surrounding walls that rose up, the soft soil underpaw. But Aspenstar... despite the look of slight frustration that was just dimming down, she looked as if she fit right in.

The thought of it brought a tiny smile to the older tom's face. Hopefully she would be the leader that ThunderClan had needed for quite some time now. There was a lot of errors to correct...

"You seem to be settling in well," he commented with a flick of his tail, amber eyes observing the serene space before landing back onto the leader's face. Taking a breath, he decided to launch right into it. "Both of my apprentices have vanished. I tracked their whereabouts to the border we share with the outskirts of Clan territory to no avail," he began, momentarily letting his head and ears droop a bit. Had he failed them as a mentor, is that why they ha vanished? Or was their a more sinister reasoning behind their departure?

Continuing on, Tawnybird mewed, "I was wondering... the new apprentices, they're going to need as much training as possible should any new conflicts arise. I was hoping to have the chance to mentor one of them. If you'd find me suitable enough, that is." Despite his ranking in the Clan as a senior warrior, Aspenstar's new position went far above him. He held faith in his ability to teach the younger generations, but when it came down to it, it was Aspenstar's call at the end of the day.

So the black and orange tom sat patiently awaiting her answer, a soft smile and warm gaze resting on his face.

FREEDOM!!

Excitement buzzled in their paws as they took their first step onto the territory. It was a breath of fresh air, new scents filling their nose.. This was Cloverkit's home! It was.. so amazing. It wasn't better than their previous -- no -- nothing would be better than that. Days spent with Mama but.. looking out? It gave them hope and ambition.

Their escape had been in a spur of the moment. Cloverkit had been planning for this, of course. They had gotten advice from Sage and did try to.. recruit others. As in Blueberrykit. ..It did not work. They had wanted to gather others -- it would have been wayyy more efficient! They could only gather so many flowers alone! However Aspen, the new lady, had started a meeting and Cloverkit had to take it.

"AHA!" Cloverkit giggled, scrambling down a slope. Adrenaline was PUMPING! THEY WERE FREE! FREE! Aurgh, their nose hurt a little bit with all the new smells but it was nothing they weren't used to. It was all so.. new.. and AMAZING! THEIR MISSION WAS GOING TO BE A SUCCESS!

With their stubby tail wagging in a furious motion, Cloverkit began to sniff the air for any kind of flowery scents. It took them a moment to find a decent patch. Truthfully they had been getting.. rather distracted. Pausing to check at almost every tree, bush -- exploring. They weren't in too much of a rush. Trailing the smell, they climbed over a TREMENDOUS log before coming into a view of a clearing.

"Flowers.." Cloverkit gasped, pouncing into the field of multi-colored life. It was a beauty to behold. It stretched for miles.. endless and ethereal. (In reality it was just a small patch of asters that had multiple colors.) A trill of yips came from the brown kit as they rolled around in the patch, unfortunately crushing a few but they were EXCITED! This lasted a few minutes before Cloverkit sat back up. "Okay.. okay, " They mumbled to their self, shaking their head.

They needed to focus. Cloverkit leaned down, their jaws gently wrapping around a stem before picking it up. They slowly began to form a small pile of these amazing gifts.

sitting at the entrance of the nursery, sagekit watched all the cats in the clearing. she still wasn't completely sure about this place, honestly, but maybe that was because he was just naturally cautious of most things. their siblings liked it though, so maybe they'd end up getting used to it quicker than they imagined.

This needed to be done. She had to do this, even if it gave her the irrational fear of failure, she had to do it, because ThunderClan needed it. The ThunderClan leader climbed up the tree. Many of her claws dug into the divets made by other leaders, something thrilled inside her, but this wasn't the time to get excited about this. Pulling herself up onto the branch where Buckstar had sat many, many times before, and perched on the thick, weathered branch.

Aspenstar took a deep breath. "Everyone willing, please gather at the Thunderwillow for a Clan meeting!" Her voice didn't sound as intimidating as she had hoped... But that could be changed come the rest of the meeting.

Briarmist was close behind her clan leader, eager to hear what was to be announced. She had been here many times before, yet somehow the clan gathering always felt fresh, exciting, new. She lifted her chin with pride as the clan was called, her green eyes flashing with enthusiasm.

She gave the warrior a quick cocky grin, her tail lashing excitedly. She remembered being so..dull when she had came back to ThunderClan. "I might be getting my mentor in this meeting!" She squeaked, the ten moon old apprentice's eyes brightened as she thought about finishing her training..and earning her warrior name. Who knows what her name might be? But her mind then traveled to something else. What if the meeting is about something else?.. "What if..what if Aspenstar gives out a meeting about something..bad? Her voice suddenly trickled with anxiety, her fur suddenly prickling. She didn't want anything bad happening towards her or her clan.

The murmuring of the Clan was like buzzing, the radiation of anticipating her announcements, excited kits and apprehensive warriors, the Clan was smaller in the wake of all chaos. Not hardly half of the cats remained, and she twitched an ear. ThunderClan was most obviously the smallest, and she feared that it would take a while before they regained the necessary resources and swollen ranks before attacking RiverClan, and retaking everything that had been stolen. For now... RiverClan had the upper paw, but certainly StarClan wouldn't approve?

Such troubling thoughts. Shaking her head slightly, to clear it, or to attempt to clear it, more like, and stared down at her cats. 'They're waiting for you to speak.' She wasn't positive about being able to do this without a hitch, but she had to at least attempt to. She met Dogbark's gaze, and drew a bit of confidence from his strong gaze. He believed in her.

"There are quite a few things that need to be addressed. First off, I have received my nine lives from StarClan, and I swear to devote them all to the protection and service of our Clan." She twitched her tail, looking around the gathered Clan for one cat in particular. No Albatrosspaw. She had unfinished business with him, but it would have to wait, unfortunately.

"The majority of you already know about the events at the Gathering. For of you that do not know, RiverClan refused to accept their part in all of this, and instead accused us of preposterous things. Snakeheart even accused Icicleripple of poisoning her own Clanmates, and denied RiverClan ever using poisoned claws. Which, of course, was an outright lie. They were too defensive to be truthful, and I believe the other Clans noticed that. With tensions high between WindClan and ShadowClan, and RiverClan and ShadowClan, we can expect an alliance between WindClan and RiverClan." She paused, a small frown etched on her face.

This fight would have to end eventually... but would it end with a Clan being destroyed? It wouldn't be ThunderClan, she had nine lives and was not afraid to sacrifice them all to save ThunderClan. There were lots of ceremonies to be had, so she paused to allow the Clan to react to all of this before continuing.

Yes, Fernpaw two was angry at Riverclan, he had been one of the
cats poisoned but couldn't Aspenstar get on with it, they didn't
have forever, or they did but Fernpaw didn't want to wait forever.
"Get on with it" he mumbled to him self, his whiskers quivering
in impatience and excitement. "Soon, very soon"

Foxpaw blinked. They had? How interesting. But wasn't this just the perfect occasion? The patch tabby stepped closer to the Thunderwillow and spoke up addressing Aspenstrike- no, Aspenstar. She still had to get used to that name. " Isn't that good then? Shadowclan has destroyed Windclan in all of their recent battles. If Riverclan is allying with Windclan, shouldn't we go with Dawnstar to fight them both?" Sure, it was a bit advantageous, but it was true after all. Wouldn't Shadowclan be a stronger ally? Foxpaw snorted at the thought of a partnership with WIndclan. They might be more trustworthy, but when it came to battle it was the clan of shadows that she'd choose to fight with.

Of course. Like she had expected, there was going to be something wrong. Her fur had started to bristle along her back as soon as she heard about Snakeheart accusing their own medicine cat. How could he? "But Icicleripple did no such thing!" She yowled, voicing out her opinion. Of course, RiverClan would possibly go in an alliance with WindClan..but would that mean ThunderClan would have to go in an alliance with ShadowClan? The thought shook her to the core, but she remained standing tall. "Curse RiverClan! All they are is just a bunch of fish-eaters, thieves, and LIARS!" She yowled, her fur along her back starting to bristle. She was right wasn't she?

The tom tilted his head with a clear dislike of this shown
through his expression. They would certainly gang up
on ThunderClan. After what happened at the battle, we
wouldn’t last another onslaught. Strength in numbers is
the saying, and with WindClan on their side…

Ugh. Those fish-brains and rabbit-chasers could go take their
crowfood business somewhere else. ThunderClan was in
their own issues. “Those lying scum,” was his response
when he heard the issue regarding the lying. Trying to turn
the Clan in on itself? Well that was one back-fall that they
wouldn’t collapse on.

“All I have to say on the matter is that we could be facing
something indeed threatening to our lives. But it’s nothing we
couldn’t handle. StarClan meant there to be the Clans we have,
and StarClan wouldn’t want us to wipe each other out. It isn’t
like the leaders of the other Clans don’t know this - they’ll come to
their senses. And if they don’t… we’ll be ready.”
