Boy was that gathering yesterday awful. Their deputy couldn't even manage to tell the others their announcements. It was a wonder why none of the clans had attacked them yet. Sure they called a truce with Riverclan, but if they saw them down it would give them a reason. Cats were saying the dead were not lucky for being here with them, but Wildspark thought the opposite. Those of his clan had died are the lucky ones. They wouldn't have to see their clan in ruins.
It made him think they had died for nothing. Was Thunderclan worth fighting for? He wasn't so sure, but then his mothers words rang in his ears. She had told him many times before that his clan was worth fighting for even during their worse. Not thinking about it anymore Wildspark moved along. After a while he stopped to svent the air. He was on a mission to hunt for his clan. No hunting oatrols had gone out for a while and he took it upon himself to bring his home some food.
Wildspark got into a hunters crouch. He was a little rusty at hunting, since when he was disloyal he never really hunted for the clan. The tom moved forward, keeping his hunting crouch in order. His tail was almost neatly tucked underneath him and his legs were were far enough part where he wouldn't be either tripping over his paws, but he could move properly at the same time. Once he got closer he pounced, landing neatly on top of it. With a swift bite to the neck Wildspark killed it. He gave thanks to starclan before burying it. He then went on to find something else to catch.

sagepaw took note of her paws being fixed before nodding slowly. oh jeez. now she really had to pay attention, unless she wanted to get smacked on the head. ”okay,” she hummed. i’ll try, at least, they thought with a short sigh.
the plan to pay attention had failed horribly. they barely stood up before mallardsteps paw came swinging at them and they dropped back down as quick as they could. while his mentors paw didn’t come in contact with his forehead, he felt it smack against the tip of his ear.
@Angelique - (I hope it's alright that I had Paintedfeather join Wildspark !)
Camp life had dwindled into nothing more than murmurs and whispers with the occasional boastful apprentice or rowdy kit. Nothing that spoke to the scene Paintedfeather wanted to associate himself with, despite being a full fledged warrior. Picking his way now through the lush forested territory that ThunderClan called home, the dilute calico observed his surroundings with apprehension. What was left for him here? Apart from tedious tasks of hunting for a Clan that had no deptuy, no medicine cats - he wasn't even sure what was going on with their leader not taking on the traditional suffix. These thoughts and more plagued him constantly, a mystery he might never get around to solving due to lack of wanting to.
But still, there had to be something that could be done. Some sort of task that wouldn't have him overstepping into territory that was usually taken care of by senior warriors or the leadership of the Clan. Hunting seemed to be his best bet, though Paintedfeather put much more faith into his claws when in battle against other Clans and much less with the rodents that dwelled in the undergrowth. Up ahead his nose twitched with the scent of a Clanmate who, from where the tom could see, was hunting as well. "Good day for a hunt, yes?" he called in greeting to Wildspark, nodding to him as his tail swung low against the dusty ground.

The pretty she-cat padded through each paw step as quiet as the last. With perked ears and mouth parted as she drew in the scents of the area around she scented bird. The she-cat blue gaze scanned her surrounding she quietly made her way in the direction of the small creature, within mere seconds her blue eyes caught sight of a sparrow pecking away at the ground. Quickly she got into the a hunters crouch getting as close to the bird as possible without it noticing her, bunching her muscles she leapt onto the creature killing it with a swift bite to the neck.
The tom moved along from his first prey to go off and find some more food. He didn't care how long he was out. He was going to hunt until there was no prey left. No patrols had went out, which with those cats that think their higher than everyone else they might be dine soon. He was trying too to get Thunderclan back up and nobody ever saw it. If they did they acted like he was nothing. Was this really even his clan. Didn't seem like it. It was no longer the same clan he had enjoyed so much before his mothers death.
Wildspark moved along, ears perked to hear for anything. Soon some pawsteps could be heard and the ground slightly vibrated. He looked up from his job to see Paintedfeather. What was going in lately. It was the second cat to come over to him and start talking. He couldn't complain. He somewhat liked company now. "Uh yeah. I only caught one thing so far, but hunting is going well. You looking to join me?", he asked. Wildspark wouldn't mind if he wanted to help him with hunting.

The black tom gave Sagepaw a nod. That was good for a first try. Even if he was caught off guard. I got hit in the head at least ten times before I got this move down. He thought before he flicked his ear in surprise. His thoughts were starting to sound like a mentor. When did that happen?
“You did well. Although I’m not trying to knock you out. Try to relax your muscles it’ll make your reaction time faster.” He didn’t expect his apprentice to preform all of this on the first try, however if he recalled correctly his mentor had to tell him stuff over and over again before he got it. It was better to start now than have to deal with it all later. He decided to give Sagepaw time to catch her breathe, and respond if she so chose before rearing up again for another blow.
[If you like we could skip to the dodging to the side part or keep going like this. Whatever work best for you is fine by me ]

Larkstorm blinked. “Wow. You know how sad that is?” She licked her lips, then glanced back in the direction her rabbit. “You know, I have a rabbit not far from here. You want me to go get it? We can share it, and then you can tell me about what happened so long ago. It’s good to get feelings out of your system.” She twitched her whiskers, offering him a smile. “Or we can just share the rabbit and you don’t have to say anything. Don’t think I’m pressing you.” That would be horrible, especially with all the things going on with him.
-->Wildspark<--
What was there to talk about? His mother had been gone for a long time. Maybe that was why it was so hard to let go. He wasn't ready yet. She was his best friend and the only one who ever understood him. Wildspark wasn't sure if they should eat the rabbit. The clan could use it. "Shouldn't the clan be fed first? I like the offer, but we're struggling already.", he meowed as nicely as he could.
"We can still talk about it,but there really isn't much to say. I'm mostly down because I can't let go of the one cat that ever made me feel wanted. I'm a grown warrior who is missing his mother thats all. ", he meowed. Wildspark knew it sounded ridiculous. For a long time he blamed Thunderclan for her death. Nkw he wasn't so sure.

Larkstorm nodded in agreement. “Alright, I’ll save it for the elders then.” She pushed it to the side, then laid her tail on Wildspark’s shoulder as she listened to his story. Her eyes widened when he spoke about his mother. “Oh Wildspark, I’m so sorry. That’s terrible. What was her name?” Larkstorm felt bad for having to ask that, but she couldn’t come up with any names. So many cats were coming and going she just couldn’t keep track of them anymore.
