Peering through the leaves, he tried to catch sight of Honeypaw. He was nearly impossible to see- his pelt made sure if that. Leaning upwards, he blinked in surprise as a furry scrap lunged from the tree. Yowling in shock, he was knocked to the ground as the small tom landed on top of him. Winded, he gasped for breath.
"Works -" gasp "- every-" GASP "- time" He breathed, shakily standing up.

This time, Sootflare ducked away from the blow and pulled back from the apprentice. Tail lashing, he began to circle her position but made no move to attack. She needed to get used to a proper moving target, it would help with hunting as well in the long run.

Foxpaw thought quicky before running figuring out where Sootflare would be and she ran right past him. She jumped when she was behind him and turned, attempting to bring her paw down hard on top of the warrior's head in the process.

Darkpaw stared back at them for a heartbeat, "Um, okay," she mewed. Then, without warning, she sprang forward towards her mentor, launching herself at their upper body to throw them off balance and knock them over.

"So, while we get you accustom to getting your paws wet, how did you and your friend enjoy your adventure?" he asked.

Harepaw shrugged. "It wasn't too bad, I guess. We saw big white birds. Tried to catch it, but it flew away." He twitched his nose.

Again Sootflare ducked under and away from the blow, but just barely as her paw brushed the hair on top of his head. All this jumping around was starting to leave Sootflare out of breath - Foxpaw had to be struggling just the same or more without the practice he had. If she could land the next blow, he would end their training for the day. They had made quite a bit of progress today - more than he expected to. Perhaps they could go hunting next - he wanted to see if she would be just as adept at that as she was with fighting.

"One last chance, Foxpaw. Again."

Foxpaw nodded at her mentor's orders.She was more tired than she'd ever felt but at the same time, this just felt right. She quickly ran towards her mentor. Just have to land this last blow, that's all I have to do. she thought as she ran. She sprang into the air with everything in her in the same move but this time she attempted to hit the area Sootflare would go to dodge. I hope this works

As he moved to dodge her attack, he was met with a force that shoved his head towards the ground and left him reeling. That... was exactly what he was looking for. Regaining his balance and ability to think straight, he turned to smile at Foxpaw.

"That was good. I think that's enough for today. Why don't you go get some rest? Hang out with the other apprentices."

Foxpaw dipped her head to the bloodwarrior. "Thank you, this was fun." she said before running off to find something to do.
