Ruby snapped her fingers, sparing Chaka one last glance before disappearing into a swirl of fire. Her heart ached as she landed right in front of Lucifer's throne, her eyes focused on the ground. She knelt, placing a gloved hand over her heart. "My liege."

Lilliana seemed to break down once Azreal had gone. She fell to her knees, trembling as her wings curled around herself. Her hands curled into fists, and her blue eyes locked below. She gave one last shudder before going still. "Father," She whispered brokenly. "Forgive me, please... But I can't.."
"I know what you're going through."
Lilliana spun around, leaping up at once.
Castiel smiled gently at the other angel. "Growing close to humans."
"Leave me alone, Castiel." Lilliana turned away.
Castiel appeared in front of her again. "Let me help."
"You can't help!"
"Let me try."
Lilliana shook her head, unable to speak. Her eyes shone with tears.
"You know you can go down a better path." Castiel came forward, gently wiping her tears away. "Make a new start. You're an angel, Lilliana. Rebelling is Lucifer's job, not yours."
"I don't.." Lilliana's voice was choked. "Want anything to hurt her.."
Castiel gazed at her.
"But death- It doesn't discriminate." Lilliana said despairingly. "It just.. It takes... And it takes... And it takes. Amelia is.. She's so bright.. And full of life." Lilliana's voice shook. "If she gets hurt.."
"Lilli."
Lilliana stopped, gazing up at him.
Castiel placed a hand on her shoulder. "Amelia will be fine. She was put here for a reason, and her time isn't up yet. If you continue like this, you won't be around to see her live." He tilted Lilliana's chin up. "Want my advice?"
Lilliana hesitated, then nodded.
"Make every moment last." Castiel leaned forward. "You aren't supposed to control the world. You're the Angel of Peace, so act like it. It's not just your job to protect her, understand? Live with her, Lilliana. Embrace all the good things, instead of worrying about the bad. Or you'll only destroy yourself. I'm not saying don't get close to her. I'm just saying don't make the same mistake Lucifer did." And with a whoosh of air, he was gone.
Lilliana swallowed, lifting her gaze to the sky. After a few moments, she let out a soft sigh. Then, with a gentle beat of her wings and a soft whoosh, she had disappeared as well.

"Have you said your goodbyes," Lucifer asked blankly, twirling a coin in his hands.

"What did you say to her?" Amenadiel asked when Castiel appeared.
"The truth." Castiel shrugged.
Azreal growled.
"Calm it." Raphael chided.
"Hey," Uriel looked around. "Where's Samael?"

"WHOOOOO!!!"

Samael was speeding. Really speeding. It was amazing how fast cars could go! He was in a black Corvette. Truly there was nothing better than this. The angel was laughing as he sped along the dark-lit streets of Clawsdale City, grinning. But his joy-ride came to a stop when he heard sirens behind him, and he let out a deep sigh. "I never get to have fun." He grumbled, slowing to a stop and pulling the car over. The song "No Rest For The Wicked" was playing from the radio.
The policeman came up to the car, eyes cold. "Turn the music down, sir."
But Samael was too busy going through his wallet to pay any heed.
The policeman sighed, hitting the side of the car gently. "Cut the music."
"I'm sorry." Samael chuckled in his enchanting British voice, reaching forward and turning the music down.
"You know why I pulled you over?" The policeman asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Well, obviously, you felt the need to exercise your limited powers and punish me for ignoring the speed limit." Samael replied smoothly. Then he smiled. "It's okay, I understand. I like to punish people, too. Or at least, I used to."
The policeman looked unamused. "License and registration."
Samael sighed. "Coming right up." He picked his wallet back up and pulled out a few hundred dollar bills.
The policeman looked appalled. "Are you trying to bribe me, sir?"
"Yes, of course." Samael held out the money to him. When the policeman refused to take it, Samael frowned. "Is that not enough? Take more, it's only money." He hummed, reaching for his wallet again.
"It's against the law, sir." The policeman growled.
Samael laughed slightly. "You people are funny about your laws, aren't you?" He smiled up at the police officer. "I bet you break the law sometimes, don't you?" His eyes sparked faintly.
The policeman blinked. "Sometimes.." His lips twitched into a faint smile. "I put my siren on and drive real fast for no reason at all, just 'cause I can."
"Right? And why wouldn't you?" Samael laughed. "It's fun!"
"Yeah." The policeman frowned suddenly.
"Oh, it's okay, Officer." Samael said warmly. "People like to tell me things, those deep, dark, naughty little desires that are on their mind. It's a gift. Must be something about this face." He winked, then held out the money. "You're tempted to keep that, aren't you? Well, what are you waiting for, permission?"
The policeman hesitated.
"Go on, take it. Buy yourself something pretty. You deserve it."
The policeman finally gave in, taking the money with a smile.
Samael sat back, grinning. "But, if you don't mind, I really must be on my way."
"Oh, yeah, of course." The policeman nodded. "Hey, have a nice evening."
"You too, Officer." Samael watched him head back to his own car. Then, which a chuckle, he pulled off into the road once more. He turned the music back up, relaxing back into his seat as he drove. "You, too."

"Yes, sir." Ruby said quietly, trying her best to not think of the horrified look on Chaka's face when he realized what she had done. "What is it that you would have me do?"

Lucifer gazed at her for a long moment. He had no intentions of letting Chaka off easy. That was his true vessel. But, he didn't need Chaka just yet. Or did he? "Hm." He mumbled thoughtfully, watching the demon for a moment. Was she really of any use to him? Why trade Chaka for her?

"Probably off messing around with that demon friend of his." Azreal sighed.
"Typical." Amenadiel grumbled.

Samael arrived at his bar, Luxe, not too long after. He parked the car and headed into the building, smirking when he heard the sounds of partying and laughter. He made his way through the crowd and approached the counter. "Mazikeen!"
Mazikeen, or, Maze, turned immediately, and smiled, amused. "Hey, boss."
"Pour me a shot." Samael slid into one of the seats.
"Where have you been?" Maze slid an empty cup in front of him, and picked up a bottle, pouring some alcohol into it.
"Oh, out, enjoying the mortal life." Samael chuckled, picking the glass and downing the liquid with ease. He set the cup down, licking his lips. "Escaping my siblings. The usual, really."

Ruby saw the look in Lucifer's face and narrowed her eyes. It sickened her to say these things, but she needed to convince him that Chaka was not the one he needed. "Lucifer, I am all that you need to carry out your plan." She said, keeping her stance. "That boy will only be part of your undoing, should you put your faith in him. He is the son of your late enemies, Artemis and Aurora Prime. He is too attached to the mortal world, and will only hinder your plans. I have been raised for this job, your highness." She mentally apologized to Chaka. "He is weak and useless, even with all the demon blood in his body. He is too emotionally attached to those around him."

Atazi raced up to Kion, skidding to a stop in front of him. "I found her- Sade, I mean." She said, smiling at Natasha and waving a little before looking at Kion. "Usiku and Giza's got her trapped in a basement, and Usiku's currently debating how to get her to join him. I can lead you to them." She pointedly ignored Lucifer, the werepire focusing only on Kion and Natasha.
