Shocked. Utterly shocked.
Starring up at the leader, it felt as though her mouth was open, of course it wasn’t. But she felt it quickly drying as she had cast a glance around the clearing, for one thing, a apprentice? Not only that, but a new apprentice? She had, or at least, she believed she had, gotten along with Slatekit well during the whole mock raid with the kittens, but she wasn’t expecting to become the mentor of this one. Not only that, but Thunderpaw? What was wrong with Slatepaw? Was it too much of a reminder to the leader that Thunderpaw had come from Riverclan, did she think that Thunderpaw simply needed a new name? Was the idea behind this that with a new beginning, Slatekit needed a new name? Her gaze traveled to Slat—no, Thunderpaw, she supposed that name would take time to get use to. Taking in a soft breath as Thunderpaws ears fell back, Shadowhearts eyes had a sorrow filled look to them. Clearly, she was disappointed but did that really call for yelling up at the leader? “Slate—Thunder—“ getting stuck up on what to call the little molly, Shadowhearts heart wrenched with sorrow seeing how the apprentice felt.
Watching Thunderpaw turn towards the entrance and exit to camp, where many had just watched Sweetsong leave, her heart thudded with worry. Where was the apprentice going? Shadowheart was certain there was no way she had any clue on where was safe and where wasn’t, she was supposed to teach her that! Rounding towards Aspenstar, Shadowhearts fur stood on end. She wanted to be nice, and while she had been calm, she couldn’t exactly explain the anger that was now balling up in her chest. “Why change her name?” blue eyes narrowed towards Aspenstar as she took in a soft breath, Shadowheart currently trying to keep her tone even “Aspenstar,” starting out, Shadowhearts words were slow to come out “i respect your decision, but I believe there was no need to change Slatekit to Thunderpaw,” making sure not to sound insulting or challenging, Shadowheart had shook her head softly before turning towards the exit of camp. Tail swishing softly back and forth, Shadowheart had made her way towards the exit, eyes glued to the ground as she simply seemed to only have one cat on her mind now.

Huh. She had been mildly aware that Rainywhisker didn't know too much - or at least that's what her mind had formed a connection of. After all, the she-cat was certain he would have taught her all he knew,, which didn't happen. wow,,, th- that wasn't really that long ago. Well. Somewhat.

But, actually looking back on her small moment of shock at the lack of knowledge, Icicleripple realized that it wasn't as if the former medicine cat had a good mentor. Frostpaw- she'd actually interacted quite a little bit with her,,, the guilt of accepting that training .. (technically, it did save so many of her clanmates lives to know Yarrow) so a partial good thing. Oh, and not to mention she, herself didn't know anything about broken bone really.

So there was nothing that could be done with that injury. Luckily, Hawkice did state he'd "learned to live with it." [timeskip one day about]

"Is- .. the wound feeling better?,," The medicine cat inquires, soon to find out the answer herself though. ick. Yep, it was infected- I- must have applied the marigold wrong... That definitely wasn't good, heck what would the clan do if their healer couldn't get basic herbs right.. .

She quickly removes the marigold, discarding it into a pile that she would take out later,.. her blue-tabby body was shaking, fear in physical form along with mental. They didn't have any tansy at the moment, but one of the herb patrols had recently come back with more marigold. Hopefully, it would do. She wouldn't bear to lose another patient.. ,, gosh! what.. am I thinking? it- probably.. won't lead to his death. Worries, oh how she hated those darn thoughts. Soon, more marigold was correctly applied (and finely chewed). Paws put on two cobwebs to hold the pulp in place. mayb- hopefully that would do.

Rosekit limped into the den. Ow Ow Ow. She was rather hurt. There was a bit of blood on the scratch on her back, although she couldn't totally see it, a vee sting in her paw, thorns in her fur and horrible indigestion. The medicine cat was probably sick of her by now. Oh, well.
"I, um, might need sone help." she said gloomily.

Oh dear. The number of times the young kit had gotten herself injured was unbelievable. Yet, here Rosekit was.., once again standing before the she-cat.

After motioning with her tail for Rosekit to sit down on one of the available mossbeds, she began to examine her. She couldn't tell about the stomach ache right away, besides the probability of the stomach growls. The bee sting she didn't actually have anything for - ,, again, worries of her incapability to actually do her job arose. don't even know most of the hebrs.. Snakeheart was certainty right about some things. She removes the stinger itself from the kit's paw after some struggle, then goes about getting out the thorns from her fur & back while she's at it.

Maybe- perhaps I,, should. here what Rose has to say about this- Before a poppy seed was given of course, since it would reasonably make the she-kit sleepy (although Icicleripple did plan on giving her the smallest one she could find - small body after all).

"So- erm.. how exactly did this happen this time,,?" Yes she was annoyed at the kit,, but hopefully it didn't show.

their brows were knitted together in anger, listening to aspenstar name new apprentices and assign them mentors - including rainypaw. they weren't focused on that, they were focused on how she just seemed to dismiss their question. and, oh boy, they felt themself grow a bit sour. but unlike thunderpaw, they didn't speak up, they stayed silent, just frowning up at the leader.

if she could even be considered one.

with a quiet scoff, they turned away from the thunderwillow in search of greysquirrel. once they did spot the tom after a minute of searching and squinting, they made their way over to him. "look forward to our training..." they murmured, sending aspenstar a short glare before focusing on greysquirrel.

Rosekit bit her lip at the pain she had to endure, the sting and the thorns weren't pleasant. She could tell the medicine cat was annoyed with her and she didn't blame her. Guess I should explain.
"Well, I ate a mouse and it tasted a little stale but I didn't think much of it. But later my stomach got really upset. And then I went outside and stepped on a bee, which made me jump back at the nursery wall, which gave me a scratch on the back, which hurt super much and I accidentally ran into the thorn barrier and rolled in. Yeah, I think that's about it." she mewed solrmnly.

"Yeah, I came into tell you it was really itchy and oozy. I had a feeling it wasn't right." Hawkice mewed. He sat still, barely wincing as she applied more marigold. "Shall I come back soon again to get it re-looked at?" He inquired.
