Confusion swept over the tom as Tawnybird watched Aspenstar. What was going on? Now he was a traitor? Amber eyes blinked as he was still in the process of trying to process everything that was occurring. He had been given two apprentices, but then reprimanded before the Clan. It only served to give him a headache as he looked down at the two young cats who clearly did not like what had went down either.

With a heavy sigh, the senior warrior decided to simply push Aspenstar and that whole confusion out his mind. ”I may not be your favorite, but I vow to teach you both everything I know,” he told them with a dip of his head.

Ow. Okay, pointing his head anywhere but up was beginning to prove as a problem.

”We can start training tomorrow. I want you both to rest up today.” With that, the senior warrior gave a flick of his tail before padding off towards the warriors den. All he wanted now was to sleep.

Bumblestreak glanced towards Rootspark, he couldn't help but snicker himself. That's when he heard his apprentice's words and sucked air in through his teeth but nodded "What do you already know? just so we're not overlapping lessons here" He said, trying to keep a calm demeanor even though he was admittedly anxious about his first apprentice, and especially since was such a firey one.

Foxpaw barked out a short dry laugh. Yarrowshade waws an idiot. She seemed to act like a cynic, seemed to laugh at everything, but she was still useless. Whether or not the she-cat was mocking the world or not didn't matter to Foxpaw. She didn't seem to do anything other than laugh at others pain. Either this cat would be her best friend or worst enemy. And she was ready to find out.
The last moon hadn't been her best. The battle, the death of Whitewolf, the entrance of Tigerpaw, the replacement of leadership. The russet patch tabby scoffed at the thought. Her entire apprenticeship had been the definition of mouse dung. She hadn't really known what was happening when Buckstar had died. She had been nothing more than a stupid apprentice, grovelling over her new position. But now she had no reason to slack off. Only reasons to run to others and make them teach her. SO she would be doing just that.
Foxpaw trotted over to Yarrowshade at Aspenstars dismissal and stared up at the mollies face, her eyes narrowed. "Hello, Yarrowshade." She blinked hard, making sure the warrior heard her before she continued to speak. "I am Foxpaw, Mistyshades' apprentice. I was wondering if you would like to hunt?" Best to keep it formal. Drown out the annoyance in her tone with false sincerity. Try as she might, it would never work.

Sudden excitement prickled at her. A new mentor! A sudden pang hit her in the chest when she didn't get Amberglow..she wished she got her old mentor. Maybe he is nice! She thought hopefully to herself. Glancing her blue-gray gaze up, she looked around for the tom. Where could he be? When she noticed the pale brown tom, she immediately felt her light brown tortoiseshell fur prickling as she pranced lightly towards him. "Hello Snakewhisker!" She happily mrrowed, her tail raised as she looked at the tom. "How are you?" She had to start off with something didn't she? Of course, she wouldn't be rude and not ask how his day was! Although she possibly already knew..

Eaglerose sighed and trudged in the warrior's den, everyone seemed so happy with their families and mates, and Eaglerose had no one. She felt as lonely as ever, and longed for a companion she could trust and love.[/B][/B]

Raising his head, Snakewhisker looked at the apprentice and dipped his head politely. “Oh, hello.” A feeling of nervousness spread throughout his body, especially considering the fact that this was his first time mentoring, but he managed to keep a calm appearance. “I haven’t been doing too bad, I suppose. Thank you for asking.” Deciding that it would be best to just be honest, he lowered his head a bit and sheepishly said, “You know, you’re my first apprentice, and I’m not too good with meeting new cats in the first place, so my apologies if I come across as awkward at times... I don’t mean to, it’s just how I am.” Despite his worries about making a good impression, he felt relieved that the young cat in front of him seemed kind and understanding.

Oh? He was nervous? No problem! A small beaming toothy grin showed on the young 10 moon old molly's face, her pale-blue eyes gleaming with pride. "It's quite okay! I have deal with plenty of nervous cats before!" A small purr of amusement escaped her throat, she grinned as she stood beside him, obviously being short. "Also, if you get awkward or anything around me, just say so! It'll be fine!" Her tail-tip curled, her whiskers wiggling with appreciation as she looked over towards the camp entrance. "So what might we do? Hunting? Fighting practice?" Her head could go on and on constantly, but she forced herself to be patient and she looked at him, waiting quietly.

Feeling relieved, Snakewhisker couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. “I’m thinking about starting off with hunting first. It’ll be a gradual process, but you’ll be a master at it in no time. If you get bored of it, we can easily switch to fighting for a little bit.” As his shoulders seemed to relax, the tom said, “You definitely seem excited about it. I wish I was as enthusiastic as you when I was that age.”

Yarrowshade, utterly steaming with rage, glared up at the leader before potentially turning away and leaving for her own den. Except something stopped her. Someone had spoken to her. The angry Yarrowshade glared down at the apprentice and listened to what she had to say. Her eyes narrowed in mistrust. F9xpaw didn't sound scincere, instead she sounded mocking and annoyed.
"Hmm, then why don't you ask your mentor to take you hunting. I daresay that's their job. You don't seem very happy to ask me anyway." she said mistrustfully.
