"Huh? Whatzit?" The Hornet raised his head from the ground, clearly in the middle of baking the sun. "An herb patrol?" He yawned sleepily, getting to his paws and stretching. "And with Hollowpaw himself! Stars, we must be lucky." He said with a friendly wink towards both the apprentices, hoping they understood it was all in good nature before turning to Dandelionmane.

He had been on a patrol with the other warrior once before- he was nice enough. Good hunter. Maybe he'd be good at sniffing out herbs too. "I'm ready!"

The Bengal rose to her paws, lolling her way over to Risingstorm when her name was called. However, it took her a moment to register that she was going on a patrol with two apprentices. For a moment, Treetiger debated pretending like she was sick. Instead, her gaze stared furiously at Risingstorm, but she didn't say a word. She'd obey. For now. He'd better not expect her to help training, because she'd outright refuse regardless of if that meant losing her rank or getting scolded for it.

She'd wave her tail, signaling she was ready to go and waiting for Risingstorm to lead them out.

Acornfall was feeling alert today. He slept restfully in the nursery with his family the night before, and for the first time in a while was starting to feel like things were less...hectic. At the very least he wasn't choking on feathers anymore. He bounded forward when he heard his name called, nodding at Hollowpaw's instructions and description. "Comfrey and danelion, Cattail Pond! Got it!" He mewed with a wide, jolly grin. "With a patrol like this, we'll bring back plenty, my friend!" He gave Hollowpaw a respectful and friendly nod, turning to seek out his patrolmates.

But of course, his patrolmates being Wolfhawk and Emberpaw, he didn't have to search long. He nodded a greeting at Wolfhawk, and turned with a rumbling purr as Emberpaw promptly came up. "Hey, kiddo!" He purred, flicking Emberpaw's ear with his tail affectionately. He laughed heartily at Ember's words, nudging him gently on his shoulder with a paw. Not enough force to knock him over, just enough to maybe jostle him a little. "That's the spirit, Emberpaw!" He meowed in boisterous excitement. He turned to Wolfhawk, as the patrol leader, waiting for the signal to go.

Burnedbark looked up when he heard his name. Another patrol eh? This one to Firefly Cove. He stepped forward promptly to hear his mission details, dipping his head respectfully before turning to gather the named cats. "Alpinemoon, Cicadapaw, and Beetlepaw! Gather here." His tone was matter-of-fact, but his voice carried well enough. Burnedbark still wasn't used to being so young and in charge of a patrol, mostly because he hoped it wouldn't cause any issues. Some of the older warriors may not like taking orders from a younger cat, and some apprentices may have difficulty respecting a cat that wasn't much older than they were. Hopefully it goes well. He'd managed to be lucky so far anyway.

Cicadapaw trotted over to Burnedbark at his call, excited that he was going on his first hunting patrol. He'd get his first hunting lesson AND he'd get to spend time with his brother, Beetlepaw, at the same time. Two birds, one stone.

He wasn't the last to arrive this time, noticing that Burnedbark and Alpinemoon were the only ones gathered so far. "Hi there," he meowed, offering them both a smile. "Wait a minute, you look familiar," he directed at their patrol leader. "Hm..." he paused momentarily, trying to place the tom. "Oh, yeah! I've seen you with my sister, Butterflypaw, a few times. It seems you'll get to know two of her brothers today!" He was always happy to get to know any friends of his siblings.

"Yep yep! Let's goooooo" he purred. As Acornfall nudged his shoulder, the tom barely side stepped. He'd been secretly training and working out, his muscles from his runs and training showing through his black pelt, his pelt a bit thinner than his fathers as he has his mother fur texture. Emberpaws single white ear flicked. "Hey uncle, do you thing Briarmask will let me play with the kits sometime? I thinkbit would be fun...and kinda cute" Emberpaw seemed to get a bit shy as he shuffled his paws. Hoping Acornfall wouldn't reject his offer to occupy the kits for a bit.

He was a little late late. But he couldn't help it. He had to stand by the entrance to watch dad go. Anxiety wracked him but he'd done his best to never show it, nor state it.

Slowly, somewhat jagged, Beetlepaw made his way towards his group. His attempted cold expression morphing into a lopsided smile at the sight of his brother. His steps quicker up until he got right next to Cicadapaw.

"Happy you're back."

Blossomclaw had just exited the elders den, the other mouse held slack in her jaws since it had not been taken, when her name was called, ears swiveling towards the sound to figure out why, before noticing all the groups already gathering around the clearing. Patrols, not the most fun, but a chance to stretch her legs, and her nose for that matter, after the dull, stale smell of the elders den. Note to self, replace the nests when she gets back.

Dropping the prey back into the pile, right on top so it would be eaten sooner rather than later and not be wasted, she turned to focus on the new task, recalling the other names she'd heard in junction with her's before scanning the clearing, briefly observing others who had already begun to gather, heading out in their own patrols. Though the chaos of the clearing distracted her momentarily, eventually her eyes found the blueish-grey coat of one of her patrol mates, Mallowswarm, if she recalled correctly.

Despite having no personal relationship with the molly, it was anybody's guess that she wasn't happy about being placed on yet another patrol. It wasn't a displaced discomfort, it seemed as though everyone was constantly out on patrols these days. Perhaps it was time she took on her own apprentice; increase their numbers in warriors and save everyone the headache.

"Best if we move out now, I'd like to be back before sunrise,"

Not one for pleasantries when it came to getting tasks done, the formerly amused ring to her voice had shifted to a slightly more snipped tone, not necessarily aggressive but no invitation to chit chat either. Though she had left her two cents of a preference, unfortunately it was not her turn to lead this patrol, which, now that she recalled, what we're they doing anywho?

Yes, the fresh-kill pile had to be restocked, but it seemed all the other patrols had been filled with apprentices rather than trained warriors, and told to teach them how to hunt. The likelihood of a respectable haul returning to camp before sundown was low. Not to mention, not a single patrol had been assigned to the borders, and the sunkissed creek was no border. Though, she wouldn't be surprised to find the slimy Stu's of Riverclan attempting to raid their waters.

Sunpaw had been so engrossed in her questionable drawing skills that she hadn’t realized that one of her patrol mates had shown up. A quick jump to her feet and she let out a startled squeak when her eyes landed on firebloom. ”OH, HII, well that’s two of us here now we just waiting on the slow poke!!” she grinned. She might’ve been on a patrol before with snakefang but with her short attention span it’s likely she already forgot he existed. ” uhhhh how long should we wait for ‘em?” she shot the warrior a question. Honestly she was ready to go now, was actually ready to head off right from the start but she didn’t want to face anyone’s wrath this very moment.
