The young warrior paused for a moment. Flyfur might think his rouge friend attacked him when it was some loner. "I got attacked by a loner" Dogflame told his adopted mother, a faint hint of curiosity in his eyes.

Fawnsqueak wanted to make a quick trip to Lionstar's den to see if he was worth the catmint but hesitated, angling his gaze away. He'd just pretend he knew Lionstar's answer, and it would be: eh, sometimes you gotta let some go. "I don't know, but.. uh, I'll try to figure it out. Do you have any denmates?"

Yeah, that probably didn't look great. Not knowing who the elders of the clan were, but he didn't have a lot of reason to converse with them.

"None that care about me..." He rasped. "I know i'm dying, im over 150 moons!"

Her brows knitted a bit. A loner? Had it been on the territory?
Flyfur looked back at him.
"Were you on Riverclan territory when it happened? Has anyone been able to find who attacked you?"
She inched just a little closer, nose automatically searching for the scent of an outsider. She wouldn't ask about his friend with possibly prying ears that could listen in, but she hoped the look in her eyes conveyed the unasked question.

That.. wasn't really why he'd asked. With the way the guy was coughing, Fawnsqueak imagined anything infectious would be spread to the rest of the elders. He'd check on them promptly.

He was unfazed by the outburst and only shook his head, a sigh on his tongue. "We're all dying, Puffpelt." If they weren't being born, they were dying. It was just sort of how that worked.

"You left out the part, Dogflame, where you were attacked and decided to not report it."

Lionstar's voice was tense as he entered the den, tail lashing as he glared at the warrior. "What is wrong with you? There's a violent cat on the loose and because you neglected to inform me, it's going to be damn near impossible to track that cat down and make sure they are no longer a threat. What happened to your promise to protect and defend RiverClan? Because your behavior is far from following through on that."

"I was waling by the border" Dogflame told Flyfur. The tom... He had nown about Sparrow. He had talked to him and then suddenly started to attack The warrior froze as he heard Lionstar's voice, his head dropping. The leader was right. He should of told him when he got out of the medicine den. "They attacked me because I was friends with a particular someone" he mumbled.

Oh. Whelp. That was gross. ...Probably should've seen that one coming.

"Aaalrighty, why don't you just.." he tapered off as his eyes raked Puffpelt, "just take it easy, y'know?" If he said he was dying, Fawnsqueak was inclined to believe him. Not much there could be done about that if it was age-related.

Fawnsqueak had been hiding in the back, pretending to be super entranced by the herb storage as he'd heard Dogflame and Flyfur discussing the attack. He.. didn't feel comfortable stepping foot into the main area of the den, not with her there. It was doubtful that she'd want to see him, and that was understandable, so.. yeah, he wasn't going to ruin this mother-adopted son moment or whatever they were doing.

However, his ears perked up as he heard Lionstar's familiar strained voice join the others, and he scooted to reposition so he could properly listen in to what the issue was. Something about Dogflame not reporting it. Which, was sort of understandable considering the dude was pretty beaten up by the encounter. Fawnsqueak preferred that he'd gone straight to the medicine cat's den and he'd taken care of the report to Lionstar...

Fawnsqueak hesitated. Wait. There'd been someone else involved who could've--should've--reported it. "Foxblaze," he mumbled to himself, then cleared his throat. A little louder, he called into the other part of the den for Lionstar's benefit, "Foxblaze was there too."

Flyfur's expression changed and was.... she didn't even know what she was feeling right now. Not with Lionstar coming in and blurting what happened. She didn't step away from Dogflame, though, and just glanced to the golden leader.
"Does this mean you haven't been able to find the cat that did this?"
It was a stupid question, she knew, but she was.... too confused in that moment. Which was deepened as Fawnsqueak chimed in, mentioning that Foxblaze had also been present.
