The small kit seemed to have been abandoned by her mother. "Why don't you come over here, it's warmer." She mewed. Her newborn kits hadn't even opened their eyes, but she had sympathy for this small kit. She seemed so tiny like she had barely been fed at all. Nettlewish didn't want anything bad to happen to the small kit.
Skykit hesitated but waddled over awkwardly laying down about a foot away not wanting to intrude. "your right it is warmer" she said hoping to make it seem like she wasn't cold. she looked at the newborns "they are so pretty" she whispered to the queen smiling.

"They are." Nettlewish whispered back. "You can come over to see them if you like." She said with a smile, encouraging the kit to come over and get closer. Nettlewish knew she had to handle this situation delicately, making the tiny abandoned kit feel welcomed.

Slowly she crawled over looking at them smiling "even prettier up close" she glanced up at the cat and backed up a little unsure if she was too close. she didn't want to be a bother but she also did not know how close was too close she didn't know much besides how to walk and talk. She sat up and almost tipped over but quickly regained herself and sat there smiling at the queen and her kits. "I wonder why my mother left...maybe i was a bad kit" she spoke her thoughts not realizing she had.
@rosetherosey the small kit turned and shook, letting out a tiny mewl as she lifted her nose. There was so many scents she could smell! She crawled her way over towards her mother, snuggling close to her fur..so soft..so cuddly..

pinefur let out another yell as she gritted her teeth an dug her claws into the earth as the fouth kit came, another stillborn Gray she-cat, pinefur didnt have time to be upset as another kit started to come, she let out a hiss it was a Fluffy gray tom with long fur nother still born. the pain started to die down and she looked at her kits three stillborns? why, why cant they live she thought sadly then looked at the two toms that had lived and licked them. she was tired though she looked up thank you she said to the medicine cats
ashfur felt bad for his mate, it looked like it hurt. and the three stillborns, she had looked forward to having a healthy happy family again after what happened last time. still the two other kits seemed fine. what will we name them? he asked
cloverkit mewled as he found a clover and grabbed it in his tiny mouth. Waddling over to his mother he showed her the clover. @Fleatherlily

Bonekit climbed out of the nest and waddled to his brother, promptly climbing on top of the smaller kit and sitting on top of him.
(Bone shall display his dominance!)

Nettlewish shook her head in reply to the kit. "She didn't leave because you were a bad kit. She left because she was a bad cat." Nettlewish mewed. Any mother that would abandon their kit without making sure they had someone to take care of them certainly couldn't be a good cat. Even if they thought that the kit would be safe. It's the mother's duty to look after the kit.
