Thistlerose completely ignored Slatepaw, though she was glad the apprentice took the snake away from the gathered cats, even if it was dead. She was busy making sure that Rosekit was alright.

Thistlerose’s ears perked up at her name being called, and for a moment she just stared up at Aspenstar, surprised. She already had an apprentice, Shatteredpaw, and while he hadn’t proven to be any trouble yet she wasn’t entirely sure whether she was capable of juggling two apprentices at once. Shaking her doubts away, Thistlerose decided there must be a good reason for Aspenstar to give her a second apprentice, and she would do her best to train both young warriors. If it turned out to be too much, she could always have a word with her leader about it.

Glancing around, she found Rainkit—now Rainpaw—among the newly named apprentices and stepped forward to touch noses with the young cat. She hopped she’d see her brother, Lynxshine, find Rosepaw soon and that he’d go easy on the young apprentice. She doubted it a bit, but maybe this would at least get him to talk a bit more.

Larkfrost purred loudly as she heard her kits names being called and renamed. She was proud of the mentors that were chosen for her kits, she hadn't talked to any of them before, but they looked like strong, respectful warriors.
She saw Mistpaw's smile, and was glad she was doing alright. She was hoping that Rainpaw and Bushpaw were doing alright as well.
She shot a smile at Greysquirrel who seemed to be more prideful than ever
She was sad that her kits were growing up, but she was exited that they were growing stronger by the day, growing into prideful warriors.

His face lit up, as he was granted his new name. Immediately, he bounced over to his new mentor, a big grin on his face. "Nice to meet you! I'm excited to start training!" He told Sparktail, trying the best for a good first impression. He took a look over Spark's shoulder, seeing his parents. He felt even more warm inside, with his parents right there it see his new name. He shot a grin to them, before looking back to his mentor.

Aahh, so good to be back at camp. just caught some good prey for everyone. Hmmm, what to do now... wait is that Aspenpaw? Where is his Mentor? *walks over to him* "Hey Aspenpaw, where's your Mentor?"

Honeyfoot peered into the Leaders den, and called, “Aspenstar? Can I come in? I saw something odd on while hunting at the border.” Then she waited for a reply. What she had seen was weird. She had been hunting by the RC border when she had noticed something was wrong with a stream. It was swollen, and when she had drank it, it had made her more thirsty.

(It was ocean water, Honey doesn’t know that though)

The kit assumed they had read wrong as Aspenstar said Rose,, kit. Surely Cloverkit had their own suspicions but as they watched their sister step up to the Thunderwillow -- their heart dropped to their stomach. (You know when you something was inevitable but you still can't help but be surprised and terrified? Yeah, that feeling.) It took a moment for Cloverkit to register the moment. Copper eyes blinking repeatedly as they tried to grasp ahold of their self.

Their vision was becoming blurred with tears. How long would they be able to watch over Rose now? And then a snake happened which was,, was enough to snap Cloverkit out of their shock. A wide grin grew on their face, "ROSE!!! THAT'S MY SISTER!!" They squealed, jumping to their paws.

"YOU SEE HER? SHE'S SO AMAZING!! LOOK AT MY SISTER!!! ROSEE!!! HI!!!" And now they were screaming, bouncing up and down repeatedly. Their cries would only quiet down as Aspenstar continued and that was it. Rosepaw. Cloverkit's tail lashed back and forth out of excitement and overwhelming emotions. You can see the gears working in their brain. Preparing. They sucked in a deep breath ---

"ROSEPAW!! ROSEPAW!!" Cloverkit screeched, their voice cracking at the high pitched tone. The name felt foreign on their tongue and the other newly made apprentices were ignored for now. Rose would always be Rose but they supposed having an extra side of taste wasn't too bad! They had to hold back the urge to run and tackle her. (That would be for later, of course. When Sage was here. Where,, where was Sage?)

The light brown tom let out a silent huff, heaving his large self onto his paws and heading on over to his apprentice. "Rosepaw, the second the meeting is dismissed, we'll start training. I have no intention of wasting time" he mumbled as he touched the molly's nose, his cold eyes flicking closed for a moment before his head lifted and he returned to his seat.

Sparktail nodded. So, he was a mentor now, huh? Weird, but not horrible. He could handle this. The white and tortoiseshell tom rose to his paws, his ginger tail sweeping behind him. At least his new apprentice seemed eager to learn. "Nice to meet you, too. Once the meeting is over, we'll be starting our training."
