Her voice wavering, she noticed the impatience in Cherrymist's voice.
"Oh uh, I was going to ask um," Fernpaw paused, coming up with a lie in fear of getting reprimanded.
"When will we hunting?" Her voice quivered on the last word.

That's when she noticed something . Weakness. Ears twitching I'm going to have to get rid of that . she did feel the fear fernpaw had at this moment . She had it with her father. Then...She smiled " right after battle practice . One of each a day every moon . That way it ensures your ceremony . I will not let you be another one of those .....lazy frogs " she meowed. "you have potential . I won't let it go to waste. " she added only to look at the leaders den "and so I won't get chewed out by icestar..or worse exiled if she feels the need to..." she somewhat said to herself .

Fernpaw let out a long breath, highly relieved. She let out a small giggle when Cherrymist talked about Icestar.
"Thank you very much! I'm excited to be your apprentice! Now let's go battle train!"

Raventuft glanced up as the deputy called for the patrols. Battle training- great. It was as if he had been subconsciously reminded of his absence in the battle. Heh. He looked for Larkpaw and Mapleshatter- wondering if Mapleshatter was Larkpaw's mentor all the while. It had been a while since Robinpaw, his own apprentice, had attended to his duties. He intended to give him a good talking to if he ever decided to appear. He snorted when he spotted no Maple nor Lark- come on, we can't wait all day! He teethed angrily, looking from his perch.

"now, what do you want to learn first ? Straight on attacks or how to dodge them?" she asked . She figured that she should let the young feline choose first .

Sniffling, Bearpaw nodded as Thunderhowl explained how to deal with a dislocation. "Okay." He decided to give it a shot, so once the she-cat was on her side and ready for the fix, the large tom gently grabbed hold of her limp leg and straightened it. He took a deep breath to prepare himself, focusing on her shoulder for aim...then quickly pushed.

With a secure and subtle 'pop', he figured that did the trick. Bearpaw looked back up at Thunderhowl, hoping for approval, still holding onto Dawnstripe's limb.

"Um, I think I would like to learn straight on attacks first... Wait..." She hesitated and changed her mind. "Actually defense..."
She nodded decisively, finalizing her decision.
