Mosswhisper sprinted through the clearing entrance, letting out a squeak as she collided with someone. @ Honeystorm(she)

Mosswhisper's ears went flat against her head and her eyes widened as she stared up at the tom.

Rapidriver realized he hurt her feelings. While he may be cocky and a bit of a showoff he does not like to hurt peoples feelings. "I'm sorry," he mewed "I did not mean to hurt your feelings."

Her eyes widened again. "Y-you need to help me!" she said hurriedly, blanking on the tom's name. "The river--apprentice--Come!" She turned around and sprinted back the way she had come, running out the tunnel with the speed of a Windclan cat.

He looked at her confused but followed her nonetheless. He followed her out of the clearing and into the territory.

It seemed like he had been getting worse and worse with his unnatural nature ever since they had left the Apprentices' Den. Oh well. They would be warriors soon; it was time to focus on the present and get ready. Because once they were warriors, there was no going back. There would be no 'second chance' at apprenticeship...once you were a warrior, it was done. "Sounds good to me," he purred, padding quickly after his friend. He stayed as close to her as possible-- yet he was careful to make sure their pelts didn't touch so much as once, and he was equally careful not to allow her to believe that anything was wrong. If she thought something was up with him, things might go from awkward to downright uncomfortable. Awkward! He swallowed hard again, padding after the she cat as quickly as he could go. They reached the fresh kill pile and Thunderpaw examined it, trying not to meet Tawnypaw's gaze or accidentally bump into her...either one could have horrible consequences. Well, not horrible, exactly...just awkward. Thunderpaw was used to being an awkward cat, and having his name made fun of, and stuff like that...but what could he do about it? He couldn't change his name, right? At least, he didn't think so. He finally ventured to look up at Tawnypaw and shot her a smile. "See anything that catches your eye?" He asked somewhat hopefully. He was hungry, after all-- and Tawnypaw had always had a good eye.
|
Tawnypaw was deep in thought during the short, yet slow walk to the pile of fresh-kill. What could be bothering Thunderpaw that the grey tom was unwilling to tell her? She quickly shook the thoughts away, though, as Thunderpaw obviously didn't want to talk about it. And if he didn't want to talk about it, Tawnypaw wouldn't push him. She wasn't upset that he wouldn't tell her, but she knew that with some cats, a best friend got upset if the other didn't tell them everything. She didn't believe in that, really, that best friends had to tell each other everything. Everyone had things they didn't want to tell others, and despite curiosity, it had to be respected.
There was probably a point in her early apprenticeship where she wouldn't been upset, would've demanded to know. But she now knew that if she did that, it could just strain her friendship with others. She'd had a bad attitude when she was younger, and she found it hard to believe how far she'd come in improving it; and all of it was thanks to Thunderpaw, her best friend. If she hadn't met Thunderpaw, Tawnypaw was sure she would still be the bitter, lonely cat that she once had been. She couldn't be more thankful to the grey tom walking beside her for changing her for the better.
It took Thunderpaw's voice to startle her out of her thoughts, and she realized they'd stopped at their destination and she was staring blankly at the ground. She smiled at her friend and began her examination of the fresh-kill pile. After a few moments, finally, she found exactly what she was looking for, a surprisingly plump water vole that held enough meat for two cats. She picked out the lucky find and set it in front of Thunderpaw. "How's this?" She asked, "We could share this, or find something for each of us to have our own. Whichever you'd like, Thunder," she ended the thought with a purr towards her best friend.

That was the thing about relationships that intrigued Cobaltshade to no end, how it was symbiotic and seemed to effect you in ways that no one could imagine, just from talking to one certain cat, how that one cat could make or break your day, how them being happy could in turn make you happy, just like Chaseripple did to her, and just like she did for him. No cat ever took her as the type who got into a relationship, what with her cold and calculating nature, but what this tom did was show the world a whole new side to this she-cat, show that she could be a mother, that she could be warm and caring, that she too, could be like everyone else. Smiling as she spoke with her mate, the Russian Blue didn't take her eyes off of him, taking a moment to take in the features of his face as if to paint a masterpiece of him in her mind. Ears perking up at his suggestion of the three going out together once Flashkit had been apprenticed, the queen nodded with eagerness, the tip of her tail curling in delight at the image it conjured in her mind. "That sounds absolutely wonderful! A little family outing, yes, yes indeed I would love for that to happen." She purred out with about as much excitement as any cat has seen in her, those blue-green eyes of hers practically sparkling with that look of excitement and joy.
"Don't get me wrong, the other queens make good company, but I certainly felt like a fish out of water in there. And the kits are good entertainment and all, but truthfully, I'd much rather be out swimming and hunting. But again, luckily enough, two more months and I can be back to it." Breathing out slowly, Cobaltshade allowed her gaze to wander again, something she found herself doing more and more as more time passed she was stuck in the nursery, as if she were.. Bored with it. A terrible thing for a mother to say or even think, but that's the type of cat she was, she couldn't help it and truthfully she was trying her best to raise this kit. She heard the soft purr of her mate and looked over to find him looking at him, causing her to chuckle and start purring herself, gently running her nose along his cheek for a moment before looking at the carp as he offered it to her, a sheepish smile crossing her muzzle.
"I don't want to eat all of your meal, I've already eaten this morning but I am dreadfully hungry.." Flicking her ear, she looked down at the fish and felt the familiar twinge of hunger. "Alright alright, I'll have a few bites, but don't let me eat too much!" With a small smile, she would dip her head down to take a bite of the fish.

(Can I have Fallenspirit butt in? She already knows about Rain x Frosted)

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Stripepaw was sitting in the clearing, her tail twitching as she stood to her paws. She decided to go hunt, then possibly visit the nursery. She told her mentor she was going to hunt, and walked down to the river.
